Alex "Ace" Mills is an integral part of the Steel Patriots MC. His brothers, and by extension, their wives are a huge part of his life. They love him - even if he can't stand to physically touch any of them. It isn't his fault...it was something he was working on every day. When he listened to his friends discussing the erotic romance novels of CC Robat he knew exactly what he needed to give them for Christmas. But when CC turned out to be Charlotte...Charlie...his world turns upside down in one night. Now he has to figure out a way to keep her safe, get used to touching her body, and living out the words she put to paper. Every mans' dream.
Charlotte Tabor was a writer of erotic romance novels, but of course no one knew that. She insisted on writing under the pen name CC Robat. When she received the sweet email on her fan page about a man wanting to give his friends' the gift of CC Robat for Christmas, she was flattered and to be honest...it was perfect timing. Fights with her publisher, the pain of a failed relationship and Charlie was ready for something new. Now if she could just control her panic attacks around crowds and people touching her, she'd be perfect. Merry freaking Christmas!
Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. This series is good, but could benefit from an editor. There are times when words are missing our misspelled. Otherwise I loved finally getting Ace's story and I am excited to read Hawk and Eagle.
Throughout the series so far the one thing the girls had in common was their love for the steamy romance books by CC Robat. Alex "Ace" Mills contacts her wanting her to come to them for Christmas, his gift to his brothers and sisters of the Steel Patriots MC. The moment he meets Charlotte Tabor or Charlie he wants her. For the first time he finds that he can stand to physically touch someone. Maybe he can finally find someone of his own.
Charlie has her own demons and when it comes back to haunt her she has to rely Ace and the brothers to keep her safe. Can two seemingly broken people come together. Sure they can. but it's a hell of a ride to get there.
Another excellent book in the series this time set at Christmas. I was so pleased that my boy Ace found his perfect partner. He has been one of my favourite characters throughout the Free Kindle Unlimited series.
With this one it's fun to see how far Ace had come through the series. I also liked how he wanted to give everyone a gift and thought of getting the author to come. Now in the real world this would no way happen, especially on such short notice, but in fiction it worked out well. Better yet was a threat from the author's past coming back at her, just when she was in the perfect place for protection and people to help her. It made the capture/confrontation at the end a little anti-climactic.
It was fun to see how much Ace and Charlie sparked and just went for it. The same could be said for Charlie and the club, both the men and women. In the men, she found people who believed her and wanted to help, in the woman she found friends and both of them admired her work. Taking a chance on the invite was the best thing she ever did!

I finally had to stop and write a review. I usually was so excited to go to the next book I would forget. So far all the books have been great. The stories are great and although you don't want it to be related to the world it is. However Love and understanding make the characters work great together. I was able to stop here to write this, even though I'm itching to get to hawk and eagle, as Ace and Charlie just made me so happy. To find that there is someone for everyone. The person you segment to be with will be understanding and patient and make you feel safe and Loved. Perfect.
I chose this waiting because this was a really great book. I really enjoyed all of the characters. This was a book of overcoming your fears, love, and protection. I really like the way Alex and Charlie met. And I also like the way there family was there for them. For they both had their own issues with being in close contact or near people. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Another thoroughly enjoyable experience from the author. Believable characters with an interesting storyline, families and friends come together this Christmas, a gift that will mean more to everyone involved, add in an author trying to get away, a fire, a stalking, and instant attraction and you have one fantastic read.
It was too insta lovey for me especially because Ace had some serious trauma that he just sort got over when he met Charlie which I felt was just too unrealistic. Also there was this weird repetitive of some paragraphs in two chapters. I feel like the author could have combine their views together so that she wouldn’t have to repeat those paragraphs.
Ace and Charlie are a perfect match. Mary imagines these characters and makes them a part of our book memories. Two people who have difficulties yet complement each other instantly. Some angst, lots of learning to listen and protective instincts are truly well thought out during this book. 5+ stars.

This us the story I was painting to read. I was so tickeled that Ace finally got his Queen of hearts who was perfect for our hero, if you haven't read the book get and read read you won't regret it.
This whole series has been fun to read. I have loved alk the heroes and the strong women they fall in love with. Just enough mystery and stress to make each one fun.
I am so happy that Ace got his own story. His beginning was so heartbreaking, but his Steel Patriots family was so amazing. It is so sweet watching both him and Charlie find each other. This is another outstanding book by Mary Kennedy.
Another fantastic story!!!!. Mary is a fantastic storyteller and PHENOMENAL writer, her stories are just so moving, exciting, entertaining and interesting. Can't wait to continue reading this series😁😂.
This one didn't take long to read. Plenty of action in it along with a few giggles, romance and sex. I love this series and can hardly wait for Hawk and Eagle's story.
Nice story. The ladies of the Steel Patriots got to meet their favorite author. The men also read the books, kind of a cute twist. Lighthearted read on a scorching hot day.
Just like book 1 this one continues to let us into the lives of our Steel Patriots men. Watching them grow and find their matching partners is a great ride
This offering was perfectly crafted not to much sadism, some great new characters and a good launching point for the next book. This one was very readable.
Mary Kennedy does it again. I will never tire of reading her books. Always anxious to see who's going to fall next. Sweet Alex(Ace) finally gets his story.
Such a great series I have been awaiting for Ace’s book and it did not disappoint not really a lot of drama in this book like the rest just we sweet story
Good one, even with the same editing, proofreading and spelling errors. Ace gets his happy ending here, just because he wanted to do something nice for his friends as a Christmas gift. Note: many of the errors have been addressed and I am adding the star previously deducted.
Loved Ace and what a surprise that his lady love is the women's ( and now teams) favorite author😉😉!! I only wish Ace would have been more than a novella...seems to me he deserved more.
