Carly Roberts has haunted me since the day I left her waiting for her senior prom corsage. So when I find her hitchhiking her way back to Maple Cove, it dawns on me that I might just have a second chance. Except this time, it’s not a date that I need. It’s a fiancée.
Maple Cove is filled with secrets and lies but none as sinful as the way Matt Harris looks at me. His touch ignites a fire but his words are like an ice storm. And he’s not even the reason I came back home. My life is hot mess so I’m pretty sure posing as his fake fiancée won’t make it any better. But maybe it will even the score between us?
Cassidy London has been in love with scandalous steamy romances, ever since she can remember. When she’s not writing or reading dirty books, Cassidy can also be found masquerading as a wine drinking, suburban mom in Montreal, Canada.
A new author to me. I was attracted to the cover and description and I wasn’t disappointed. This was a nice second chance story. The story is about Cary and Matt. Carly’s relationship with her family was disappointing. She never felt close or visited often. Upon the death of her father, Carly is required to go back home for the reading of the will. At the same time, Matt went home to visit his mom for Thanksgiving. This is when they happen to into each other. They had a previous relationship; one that ended abruptly when Matt just up and left Carly on prom night with no word. Matt’s going to have to work hard if he expects to be forgiven or trusted again.

Cassidy is one of the authors that I buy no matter what as she never disappoints!
I was drawn in from the very beginning and was up until midnight reading, I just couldn’t put this down. I’m a sucker for 2nd chance romance and this is by far a romantically twisted version. I cried, swooned, got angry all while trying to figure out the angles of Carly’s Family.
Carly never had a good relationship with her family and goes home for the reading of her dad’s will. Matt goes home to visit his mom for Thanksgiving. Neither of them expected to ‘run’ into each other or that they would find comfort in one another, especially after Matt just up and left Carly on prom night with no word.
“I felt like I was living inside a dream. A lucid dream. The kind where you know you’re dreaming and you're desperately hoping your eyes won’t open. Because the second they do, you know it will all be lost forever”
This is so brilliantly written. But I will warn you that Cassidy leaves you hanging!
Yet another steamy and romantic page-turner by Cassidy London.
Set in a fictional, yet easily imaginable small town, Fallin In hooked me from the first page. Carly and Matt are so complex and loaded with their own issues, but I just loved how they came together (fake fiance!) and how they worked their s*** out—both emotionally and sexually! I'm all for a good second chance romance with dysfunctional family dynamics, and Cassidy did an outstanding job at combining the two.
Oh, and you want some serious heat? Well, Falling In's got it, and then some! I rarely read a book so fast, but I couldn't put it down! Can't wait to read the next part...
(I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.)
I love a good second chance story, but this was so much more than that. Falling In has all the feels—strong chemistry with plenty of oh-so-steamy scenes, drama, and intrigue. I was completely swept off my feet in this small town, fake fiancé romance. I can’t wait to see what Cassidy London will bring next to Maple Cove!
I love this book and it being book one of one I am guessing that there will be more, PLEASE. Carly and Matt return to their home town at the same time. Matt for his mother for Thanksgiving, and Carly for the reading of her father's will. Matt needs Carly to pose as his fiance. There are so many secrets between them. Will they ever sort everything out? There is drama and intrigue, secrets and suspense. Great characters and great story line. Fabulous read.

I liked this book. The story was well written and flowed beautifully. The characters were well defined within the story and they had such great chemistry. I loved the ending. If you like the works of this wonderful author, then this book is a must-read.
Carly and Matt's journey may have it's ups and downs but they were meant for each other, they were drawn to one another, their connection and chemistry was strong, they were good together. I enjoyed this story.
Maple Cove is the setting. A small rural town in Ontario, Canada where the maple syrup flows freely, but so does the intrigue! Carly Roberts is every woman. She's independent, feisty and smart as whip. Matt is a delicious commanding ex from her past who still has a thing for Carly and finds a way to ensnare her into being with him by asking her to be his "fake finacée". They both have a wealth of secrets between them, but as they play out their relationship to appease Matt's mother's wishes, they find themselves coming closer and closer together.
This book is hot. Period. There is so much mystery, desire, suspense and romance it will leave you spinning. The characters are relatable and well-rounded. The relationship progression is much more natural than you might expect in a "fake fiancée" storyline. You're going to want to punch the lights out of Carly's family, without question.
If you're looking for an entertaining read reminiscent of those good old Days of Our Lives, Another World and General Hospital days...this book has all the drama you need! One-click IMMEDIATELY!
Matt broke Carlys heart when they were teenagers and she left. Now she is back and he sees it as a chance to have her with him posing as his fiancée. The storyline is a classic fake relationship turned real that I like because besides the steam and romance it gives us drama and funny moments. I enjoyed this story very much.

Carly and Matt have a second chance at love in Falling In. They've always had a volatile relationship, and from the moment of their first encounter as adults, it seems nothing has changed. They each have different reasons for returning to Maple Cove, but their feelings for each other are still simmering under the surface. I didn't connect with Carly until later in the story though. She was a hothead and a bit of a hot mess, but I did like her more later on as things progressed. Also, I would've liked to see their chemistry really take off a little earlier, but this when it finally did, it was steamy and hot. This book ends on a cliffhanger, and I want to know how things conclude.
This book sucked me right in from the get go. Loved the storyline and the characters are so darn intense and steamy. Carly and Matt are perfect in this small town romance. And the drama that seems to want to ensue these two makes me wonder what could happen next. I need the next book because I’m on the edge of my seat with happens next. Make sure you check this one out. It won’t disappoint.
Falling In (Maple Cove 1) by Cassidy London is a good, and enjoyable second chance fake Fiancee small town romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story does leave you with a massive cliffhanger, so if you don't like cliffhangers this story is not for you. However, the story is definitely worth the read.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sometimes our past has a way of popping up when we least expect it and need it the most. Carly and Matt haven’t seen or spoken to each other in ten years and just so happen to be returning home on the same night. Matt is in a bit of a bind so he asks Carly for some help but it turns out to be so much more.
So far I’m loving these two and can’t wait to see what happens. BTW a few tissues are needed for this one 🖤😉
This is a second chance story that will have you sweep up on your feet. This is also a cliffhanger. So will need to get pumped up for the next book. What a steamy sweet dark read that will pull you in from the very beginning tell the very ending and with this whirl wind of a second chance love story this story will have you falling in love all over again.. WOWZA! Cassidy London nails it with Falling In. Talk about interesting goal driven characters. Both Matthew and Carly are getting a second chance at romance.
This book was a first for me by this author and I plan on reading a lot more. Falling in is a small town second chance romance that is sure to hit you in the feels. I thoroughly liked both Carly and Matt. Both had endured a lot of family drama in their younger years and were unexpectedly thrown together years later.
I thought this story was a great start to what is sure to be a stellar series. I can't wait to dive in to the second book!
Carly and Matt are perfect together. A second chance at romance, having been together when they were younger until Matt disappeared without a goodbye. This had me laughing and crying throughout. It does leave with a massive cliffhanger, so if you don't like that, not for you. However, it is definitely worth the read.
This book didn't do it for me. I found it being kind of a mess and all over the place. Apart from the steamy scenes that they were steamy, everything else didn't make any sense. The characters' thought process and actions didn't draw me in. P.s it leaves you in a cliffhanger! I guess that's my bad...

Warning: This book ends in a cliffhanger and I can't find anywhere that the author noted that. Ms. London is a new-to-me author, but the premise of this book seemed interesting so I gave it a read. I wish I had known in advance that it would end in a cliffy since I typically avoid those unless it's an author I regularly read. To get to the end of this one and see that nothing was really resolved, just frustrated me.
The book itself was pretty good. I devoured it in only a day, so that says something. There was certainly a heat factor of about 7. I liked that Matt & Carly somehow worked in the bedroom despite all odds. Although...Carly was bratty and liked to top from the bottom. So it made me question if Matt really is a Dom or just one in theory who likes to be an alpha and has a kitty play kink. It was never noted that he was a Dom, but based on his kinks and actions, he came off that way.
I enjoyed the push and pull with Carly and Matt and like that they grounded one another. At first it seemed like they couldn't possibly work and with Carly trying to run at every step, it appeared as though they wouldn't end up together. But somehow she gives in and agrees to stay with Matt. Honestly, that part gave me whiplash since she goes from running to 'okay, I'll stay' within a paragraph and it left me utterly confused as if I missed a whole conversation and inner debate. There were quite a few parts of the book where it seemed as though something was missing that would have pieced scenes together a little better. Since I'm not familiar with the author, I don't know if this is her typical writing style or not.
I didn't go into this book expecting to shed so many tears either. Ugh, I hate death and was not prepared for that at all in what started out as a drama-filled twenty-something romance. But the author certainly got me there. I didn't mind, but the book didn't have the same tone that it started out with once we get a little more into the book. It becomes serious very quickly.
Like I said, the book isn't bad, it's pretty decent, but could have been better with the cliffhanger warning and with a little more story development. I'll probably continue with the series when the next book comes out since I didn't like how it ended and now I'm anxiously awaiting seeing Carly's family get what they deserve, especially her sister.
Cassidy London is a new author for me and whilst I did enjoy (most) of the book, I found it a bit hard to understand. When I finished it almost seemed like it had been written by 2 or 3 people. Carly has to make her way back to her hometown after struggling to make money as an artist. Her old unreliable car slides on the road and rolls a few times, after she gets out she has to walk into town. While she is going a long a car comes by and picks her up, she doesn't know who he is but he recognises her straight away as the girl who he left waiting to be picked up for the prom. Once he reveals himself lets just say it's a quiet ride back. Please beware this is left with a cliff hanger, and I would be interested to see the outcome.

Ms London is a new to me author, and the blurb pulled me in. Matt and Carly are getting a second chance. Carly is returning home after a series of bad decisions, including returning home to Maple Cove in her mind. Matt too is returning home, never expecting to run into Carly. Now the feeling for each are still there but buried deep. Will they work through his leaving on Prom night?
While the story and writing is well done, it just did not hold my attention. It took me a couple of starts to get past the first chapter, and I never connected with either character. I usually enjoy a good small town, second chance, drama filled romance. I did finish quickly once I got going, and it does end on a cliffy. Even though this was not the book for me, I hope others will enjoy it.
Thank you to Booksprout and the author for the free copy for a voluntary review.
This is book one in the Maple Cove series. You will meet alot of characters in this story but the stage is being set and coming together as everyone finds their place. Carly is a starving artist back in her home town for the reading of her father's will. The plan is the quickest weekend trip ever as she is not looking forward.to seeing her family at all. That is until the weather turns bad and her ends up in the ditch. Matt is a successful lawyer in the city but returning to the family farm to see his Mom and step Dad. He has been putting this visit off for 3 weeks. He lied to his Mom and is trying to figure out how to explain this lie to his Mom. The fastest 6 hour drive ever. Carly and Matt have a history, a temporary present but the possibility of a future.....maybe. Enjoy!.

Falling In by Cassidy London is the first book in her Maple Cove series and for me, a first time read by this author. I liked the storyline and plot, and Ms London’s writing was easy to follow and flowed throughout the story, however, I never really connected with the characters and the start was quite slow. I did finish the book and I’m sure it will appeal to many, but cliff-hangers are something that really irk me, so I’ll have to ponder continuing this series.

This story just didn’t make sense to me. It was all over the place. So it starts out and you think second chance/ fake fiancé like it says from the title. But then there’s a weird family drama with the h’s family that never gets even remotely touched on. Then suddenly it’s a dom/sub book with cat tail butt plugs and everything. And oh yeah let’s throw in a very weird will problem from the h’s dad that died like 9 months ago. And then it ends on a cliffhanger. Too much drama and different storylines in one book. Not for me. Not continuing the series.

Matt and Carly were high school sweethearts until he up and left. Then they are reunited again and Matt needs to have Carly close and proposes a deal to be his fake fiancé. There are secrets they both are keeping. Carly is back for a reading of her dad's will. Matt is back visiting his mom and a fiancé would really help him. The characters are wonderful and the small town setting is great and we all know how small towns can be. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I don't think that the cover reflects the book well, between that and the blurb I was expecting a sweeter small town story. This is steamier by far, with elements of k1nk that I didn't expect. There were some character decisions and plot holes that bugged me, the lack of knowledge of their relationship by his mum? The biggest frustration is that its a cliffhanger, also not expected.

I intensely disliked all of the characters; the “hero” is a self-absorbed attorney with a nasty dominance in the bedroom, the “heroine” is an emotional self-confessed brat who stubbornly does the opposite of what makes sense. I don’t much like the plot, either. And what’s worse (if you actually liked the book), it’s not a stand-alone—it’s a cliff hanger. I was just happy to be done with it!
I'm so sorry I ever got this book. Yet another author who ends the book in the middle and doesn't seem to care about her readers. I'm fed up with these author's who only care about their bottom line. I do not recommend either the book or the author. I will not even attempt to obtain another book by the author.
