I am not the sum of what I have done. I’m defined by what I have overcome. Fresh from the battle of Aspen, Mark Martin returns to find his people in turmoil. Sara, his first officer and girlfriend, is missing, and with her his ship The Queen Nephanie. It’s a race against time to save the woman he loves. But back home, his enemies are not sitting idle. The crafty Senator Wayne has been moving behind the scenes. He’s got a plan to seize power which spells bad news for Mark. If that wasn’t enough, back on Yale, the Erethizon are using Mark’s image to rally people to their cause. How can he convince people he hasn’t switched sides when the Erethizon control the media? Finding and confronting the imposter will take a bold plan. Bold plans happen to be Mark’s specialty. Mark will need a little help from his friends, if he is to have any chance to save the galaxy from the Erethizon menace. Space marines, pirates, deadly assassins, epic space battles, cute fuzzy aliens, evil spiky aliens, pickpockets, political intrigue, and one-pint sized mystic that won’t take no for an answer.
I admit if I didn't love the characters, I would have stopped reading this series. The body count and grim situations make for a depressing story. But Twin Sons has hope. And the Muscats are so lovable and funny.
While building a Space Dock and Station in the Isuras system, Mark and crew are asked to take back their home planet. An Alliance of systems help them.
