Eight year-old Amelia Martinez is terrified to deliver a speech at the Grand Oratory. However, when the intolerant Mr. Rhetorick steals the village’s voices, Amelia must use her public speaking skills to save Voz from eternal silence. On her quest, Amelia gains confidence at every turn, from speaking to forest animals to finding her own voice. “She never felt more frightened. She never felt more free.” Speechless’ Latina heroine, Amelia Martinez, journeys to return the voices of her town, Voz, from oratory-villain Mr. Rhetorick. Along the way she finds her voice and confidence to speak up publicly. The fear of public speaking is relatable and Amelia’s story helps young readers understand that it is normal to be afraid. Speechless illustratively shares Amelia’s adventure to save her village and gain her confidence from speaking to forest animals to confronting her fear of public speaking- an exciting read for any young reader! Readers can easily find themselves in Amelia and as a multi-lingually published children’s book Speechless also allows young readers to read a story in their language of choice. Moreover as a free download on their website, speakwithstylebooks.com, children can simply access a copy without a need for any personal information. Speechless’ powerful message is clear: render children’s voices front-and-center, accessible, and visible in both Amelia’s world and ours. Speechless invites you and your readers to join the world of Voz in just a click of a button. Physical copies are available for purchase online and 100% of proceeds goes to providing free educational materials to at-risk children. Definitely a must-read and a must-share!

Great for children and good book for an adult to have children create activities as presented in the book. A means for children to speak out and be listened to.

An adorable and powerful book about public speaking! Even adults have trouble with public speaking, so it's great to introduce the topic early on. Always great to see characters of color and diversity in children's books!
