Readers are calling Can't Doesn't "entertaining…inspirational..." - "outstanding" - "empowering...a great read...impossible to put down" - "a message much bigger than cancer...it will change you" - "an incredible, compelling story" - "uplifting" - "not the typical self-help book"
At 28 years old, despite being a high school dropout, David Prentice was a self-made millionaire. His success in real estate had brought him money, and his success in relationships had brought him happiness. He was newly married, traveling the globe, and living a lifestyle that most only dream of. If you were to ask Dave how he felt, he would have told you he was on top of the world. "I was winning at life," he said.
And he was, but, on Father's Day 2018, everything changed when suddenly, and seemingly out of nowhere, Dave went into a full on grand mal seizure. An ambulance was called, and he was rushed to the emergency room, where, after a series of scans, the doctors discovered a 7cm tumor in his brain. It was brain cancer, and it was bad.
Dave was given a terminal diagnosis, and then did what he always does; he fought. He fought to get the best medical care possible, to take care of his body, and to find every possible treatment. And he also fought to change the world.
“Right now, this is the most important thing,” he said. The ‘this’ that he is referring to, is this book; the product of Dave’s desire to make the world a better place, even if he didn't get to see it.
You see, despite a terminal cancer diagnosis, Dave has not just lived his life, but thrived; and he wants everyone to know how. Particularly, he wants you to know the six rules he used to not only become a millionaire by the age of 28, but also to face down cancer, and smile.
While we talk about the six success principles that shaped Dave’s success, “Can’t Doesn’t Exist” is about more than just success. It’s about how to find victory over the greatest of struggles. It's about how to become rich, whether that's in life, in relationships, in money, or anything else you want to be rich in. It's about the six things you need to know if you want to advance in life, and it's about making sure you don't just know them, but you know how to put them into use so that you can have the life of your dreams.
Here's the thing…if you want to better your career, improve your family relationships, or take on a fight with any ailment, even terminal cancer, and come out victorious, these six rules can help you do it.
And you won’t learn just the six rules, but you will also learn how to implement them so that you can start working towards the life of your dreams, right now!

I am about to find out what kind of cancer I have, and I needed a perspective that would help me to deal with it with wisdom and courage. Josh presents David, the one with cancer, in David's own words, which are inspiring on many levels. And there are challenges presented, to help one focus on what is truly important in your life. And also heartfelt and believable expression of what's uniquely good about being diagnosed with a fatal disease. I am very glad to have this book as I begin this journey.
Conversational interview about going after what is really important
This interview style read gives you a look into David’s indomitable spirit as he battles cancer. I enjoyed the back and forth dialogue between the two friends as they discuss topics of business, family, life and death. Not all conversations about these topics are easy, but it’s important that they are had.
The title of the book Can’t doesn’t exist is a perfect. This author faced enormous challenges throughout his diagnosis. The attitude he displays throughout his journey is nothing short of amazing. Great book to change your mindset from can’t to I can find a way to do it!
