Heart's Insanity (book 1) Ashes to New (there’s debate as to whether to read this first or after Heart’s Insanity. Ashes to New is not a HEA, but rather a tale of survival.) I feel like I should say something about this series as a whole since I didn’t lend my thoughts on each individual book.
This series is....FUN and sooooo refreshing!! She’s made this awesome new world and these characters are so alive and almost interactive, you can’t help but love them ALL!
I couldn’t get enough...I plowed through this series!! I can’t wait for the next book, I’m kinda hoping it’s Spike’s story BUT I’m super intrigued by all the “Zen” that is Noodle....I love every convo that involves Noodle....be still my HEART! He could be like my spirit animal or something....*Hugs*
So far it’s been 4 books and if I HAD to chose my favorite, however I truly enjoyed ALL of them, it would be Ryker and Tia....LOVED THEM!
My only issue would be that the steam factor is a tad...LOW. HOWEVER she makes it work and because the characters and situations are so large, fun and interesting, it just WORKS!!
I will def be reading this author AGAIN because I NEED Spike, Noodle and Forest’s stories.....these characters are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
He’s close… close to piecing together the bones of this song raging inside of him. – Bash
Bash is a big rock star, the drummer of Angel Fire, the mega hit rock band. He writes many of the songs for the band, laying down the foundations with his sticks. He can have any woman he wants, except the one that got away: Valerie. She broke his heart when she left him without a word eighteen years ago. Now Bash can have any woman, any time and any way he wants. And he wants Holly. Holly excites him because of the challenge she presents. There’s nothing more. He had his chance at forever. Bash is determined to get Holly between the sheets, into his bed, where he can f*ck her and forget her. But Holly has her own ideas.
She’s having dinner with a rock star. He’s out of her league. Not even in the same solar system. She’s screwed because the more time she spends around him, the less of the famous drummer she sees. – Holly
Holly was startled when Bash barged into her life. She was offended, yet intrigued by his brash, confident manner and his “I get what I want, when I want” attitude. But past pain holds Holly back; she’s no stranger to physical and emotional pain from those who claim to love her. Holly has no intentions of spending any time with this large, looming stranger, even if something inside her says “Let go of the past; live.” …
“Why am I here?” “Isn’t it obvious? I’m trying to take you on a date.” “Yeah, I get that, but why me? I’m not like the girls you’re used to.” “No, you’re not.” Her brows scrunch and he rushes to explain. “You’re more.” - Bash
Holly fascinates Bash. He senses there’s more to Holly than meets the eye, and he is determined to win Holly over. Bash is frustrated at every turn, as Holly manages to slip out of his grasp time and again, until FINALLY… FINALLY Bash finagles a date with Holly… and his world is turned upside down.
Their forever isn’t yet written. It’s barely begun, but she can’t wait to spend all her days and nights with Sebastian by her side. – Holly
Fate is a fickle mistress, and the path to their forever is strewn with boulders of unexpected surprises and roadblocks of the ultimate expression of love….
Oh. My. God…. I can’t find the WORDS to express how I truly feel about Ellie Masters’ latest book. Riveting, mind-blowing, heart-wrenching, with enough sass and sex to satisfy anyone! I LOVED IT! Absolutely positively LOVED IT!
This series is fast becoming one of my favourites. The Men of Angels Fire will Rock your world, capture your heart and set your panties on fire.
I've always been curious about Bash since I began this series. The shaven headed drummer has always been mysterious and fascinating to read about. So I was thrilled when I heard he was next for his story.
Bash has always had a penchant for red headed girls. Always pining after the one that got away, the one that broke his heart and destroyed his faith in love
Since Angels Fire became big Bash has had plenty of women all of them substitutes, cheap imitations to scratch an itch. He's never cared about any of them.
Then he meets a gorgeous firey redhead who gets under his skin. At first Bash only thinks about getting in her pants she's just his type after all. But after talking to the sassy little fire cracker he realises she's not automatically falling for his charm.
Bash has to up his game if he wants a chance with Holly and it's a refreshing concept to him. He doesn't just want a quick fuxk he wants her. It's been a long time since Bash felt any urge to chase a girl so he's all in, now he just needs to convince her.
Bash and Holly will make you feel every emotion, their journey is heart breaking at times. It's also sweet, funny, romantic and captivating. I loved every minute.
I'm already looking forward to more from the Angels Fire Boys. Spike has me super curious and of course there's my Forest. I don't think I'll ever be prepared for his story but I need it.
A good addition to this Series. Bash, drummer for Angel Fire (gotta admit I hate this name) is feeling melancholy watching 2 of his bandmates settle down and in love and after 17 years of groupies, the thrill is gone, mentally at least since the first scene has him being "taken care of" and he's writing a song in his head during this event. While on a short trip to get away from it all, he encounters a smoking hot chick behind a kit in a music store, this encounter had me eye-rolling all the way through, I wanted to smack Bash upside the head (either one) on Holly's behalf, don't care how gorgeous he maybe, he came off as a freakin pervert. Annnnd if that wasn't enough Bash adopts a dog just to get closer to Holly- OK it's fiction, I get it. In fact it was Holly's dog Ranger and the backstories for her and Bash that actually saved this from being 3 stars for me. Bash's dog Duke is exactly what he deserves - big, slobbering and a ball-licking beast. Alas, given time Bash does turn into a very sweet romantic guy, that plus his bandmates rallying to his side when the "grenade" hits is the reason I gave this 4 stars. I have a sneaky suspicion on how the next book - or possibly the one after may go.
Sebastian is feeling resentful towards his best friends, those who have found their true loves! He is no longer doing spur of the moment thinks with them or even just hanging out with them, so he resents these beautiful ladies. On a quick trip up the coast prior to going on the road, Sebastian (Bash) meets Holly at a music store and literally crashes her drum practice time. He goes into her practice room and tells her she turn him on and that he wants to **** her. Holly’s or having anything to do with that! Bash has a lot to learn about real when and not the road chicks who want just one thing! As the book says, the story in this book is condensed in time, but a lot happens in a short amount of time. It’s a beautiful thing to read, with interesting subplots, and lots of feels!
A slow burn romance that hits all the right notes! I am new to this series - something I intend to correct immediately -I loved the characters - not just the main but the secondary - They are all so vivid their individual quirks compliment one another perfectly. Bash has no intentions of ever giving any one woman the power over his heart - he did that in his youth and the pain of that lesson stuck with him- until he spies a vibrant red haired goddess who fails to swoon at his feet - What the heck? Soon Bash realizes that maybe he does want forever and he wants it with Holly. Holly is a spunky, straightforward lass with a heart of gold. I really enjoyed the honesty of her character. Yeah she has a past but she doesn't play the wishy-washy save me heroine (thank the book gods) This was such a wonderful read that had me laughing out loud and rooting for the HEA they both so deserved
An absolute delight to read. The Angel Fire Band is full of fabulous characters that will knock your socks off. Every one of them have their own story to tell and this one belongs to Bash. Sebastian is forever living on the fringe, never letting anyone close enough to see the man behind the mask. For years he has tried to forget. Then he meets Holly, an enigma who can rock the drums almost as good as he can and has the talent to teach percussion like know bodies business! Together they honor their loved ones, sharing in more than they expected. But the happily ever after doesn’t come without a price. Grab your copy and settle in for a fantastic Ride!
This series has continued to be one of my favorites to read. Each book is amazing and this one is no different. Bash is one of my favorite characters and is a perfect match for Holly. The two of them are spitfires and have so much in common with sexual chemistry that is off the charts. When drama and uncertainty threatens their chances will they hold on or will they give up? The story and characters are fantastic and you are taken on this journey that encompasses so many emotions you will not be able to stop once you start. Another awesome read.
In Hearts Divided by Ellie Masters we get Bash's story he's the drummer of Angel Fire. With the libido of a sex God, and a heart of gold. I couldn't wait to see the woman who would tame this man.
When Bash first sees this gorgeous firey redhead he is instantly attracted to her. Holly is a sassy little fire cracker and I LOVED her character!!
Bash and Holly will take you on one hell of a ride. The emotion, the chemistry, their journey to love isn't an easy one, but I LOVED every moment.
From the storyline to the characters I am in love with this series!! I LOVED IT! I can't wait for more!!!
*i voluntarily read an advance copy. This is my honest review.*
I love this series and every member of this band as well as their loved ones. Hearts Divided is the next book in the Angel Fire rock series centering around the drummer Bash. We are taken on this ride of Bash's discovery of love after heartbreak that will make you love this man despite his previous brooding and player ways. Holly is the spitfire who gets Bash to do a double take and change his ways. Their story is one of ups and downs but so worth it in the end. Can't wait for more from this series!
The men of Angel Fire are going to set your reader on fire . They are talented , sexy and when they see something that they want they certainly go after it or her! Bash could have any woman that he wants but no one has been able to hold his interest for very long.. Until her. Holly is a feisty talented woman that is take aback when Bash literally crashes her to her life. She has no idea how their worlds can work but you hope that love will find a way!! ~~Michele McMullen ~~
Really loved this installment. Mr. Bada** actually had he biggest heart ❤!! I loved Holly's character. I would of liked to of read about her schooling or showing up Bash on the drums though it could of been a bonus. Really enjoy the closeness of all the band members. The fights and all. The laugh out loud moments were great too. I seriously hope we get more of this amazing series and I still want a HEA for Bean hint, hint and wink. Highly recommend this series. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
An intriguing series about a rockband romance story, it is entertaining, emotional and touching. Amazingly strong characters. Written well. It was a pleasure to read this book.
In any band, my favourite musician is the drummer. Unlike any other musician, a drummer must use and control his/her entire body to play their instrument. Each hand and each foot must be able to function independently—complete a specific task or it is all just noise. That said, the Sebastian that Ellie Masters has gifted us could be a kazoo player and he’d still be the hottest book boyfriend of the year. The book begins with even Sebastian believing he is Bash—the music industry icon living up to the hype necessary to be a Rock Star. It is beyond endearing to see him grow, mature, and find himself—the good man he wants to be in order to love the woman who has the ability to see beyond the publicity stunt. Holly is a feisty woman, unaware of how strong and resilient she truly is. Rather than walk away from the things that made her happy, as many domestic violence survivors do, Holly re-directs her talents and skills. She continues to create friendships in the only way she can. And that makes her even stronger. Another endearing character trait Ellie Masters has given Sebastian is the ability to see and understand this in Holly and admire her for it. How he reacts after he has this revelation is truly swoon-worthy. Have your tissues ready! Heart’s Divided is the fourth book in the Angel Fire series. While many authors begin to lose interest—or run out of fresh ideas around this point, Ellie Masters does not. Twists and turns that you do not see coming are stellar in this volume of the series. Heart’s Divided is fresh and unique while still including the ensemble, all perfectly in-character. As only Ellie Masters can, hints from the characters that we have yet to meet one-on-one are leisurely scattered throughout Heart’s Divided. Whose story will be revealed next? A comment here, a sentence there, enticing, teasing, and making us beg Ellie Masters to write faster! Just a note: The first two pages of Heart’s Divided are so creatively sexy, so H-O-T that you might want to read the first chapter in privacy! The not-attractive man I was sitting next to on that crowded flight certainly got the wrong vibes! Don’t make my mistake! Congratulations, Ellie Masters! The story of Holly and Bash is, at once, the sweetest, hottest thing since Dreamland BBQ Sauce!
" All the worlds a stage" is one of Shakespeare's most famous quotes. This quote is talking about the seven stages of a mans life. Let's take some creative licensing and make it the seven stages of drummer Bash's life. Stage 1 is being born a twin and sharing all your childhood dreams of stardom with another. Stage 2 is meeting your young love and dreaming with all the angst that young lovers possess. Stage 3 is being abandoned and having no knowledge as to what the heck happened. Stage 4 is fame and glory of epic proportions. Stage 5 is the electricity of meeting your person. Stage 6 is a dynamic secret. Stage 7 is the reckoning.
Stages 1-3 are when the young Bash becomes known to us. Through these stages we see the love between he and his twin, see glimpses of his lifelong friendship with Ash, we meet his young love and also feel the pain as he battles some gigantic heartbreak. Promises are made, kept and broken.
Stages 4-6 are when we see this rock god in all his confident glory. He is a king amongst drummers and also in the bedroom. He has a smorgasbord of women all with the same look. He has it all so why is he so restless? Enter Holly, the smashing redhead who pounds the drums with such soul, she beats her way into Bash's heart. He is mesmerized with her beauty, her insecurities, their shared pain and all the quirks that make her perfect. Life is brighter with his personal sunrise. He has it all and then comes a secret that shakes the foundation of his life, his love and he wonders if he will ever get to see another perfect sunset with Holly.
Stage 7 is when past meets present and we watch as Bash makes some hard decisions. There is the pain of discovering that not everything we think we know is real. The joy of learning about something new and learning to let go of something old. The knowledge that love can heal many wounds and that taking a leap is often the most freeing of all.
I loved this sexy, mysterious, bald, compassionate, romantic and beautiful man. I really loved watching him find "All the sunrises and sunsets....." "And all the moments in between." I highly recommend this book and the entire Angel Fire Series.
This review was written over time, with my thoughts, throughout the reading of this book. This review is pretty long, as well, since there were so many things that irritated me during this book.
14% in, and I really can't stand Bash. What is she supposed to see in him, when all he wants is one time with her, then to move on? He is entitled, narcissistic, and sexist to her from the very beginning, when he tries to mansplain the drums/song to her, and doesn't even try to ask what she is doing. At this point in the book, she can do so much better than him. And then, to get a temporary dog, just to get her to sleep with him? Ugh.
35% in, and it feels like only now he not being a total douche... oh wait. There it is again. Seriously, this guy needs to get over himself.
58% in. Now, on their very first date, they are in love? I'm not feeling any connection between these two, other than he wants to get laid. Not to mention, they have only met twice in over 3 weeks. This is why I don't like insta-love. I don't feel any chemistry, especially when he was being such an ass initially.
75% in, and now we find out she told him about her boyfriend that attacked her. This was hinted at, but we, the readers, dont know what happened, either. This seems to be my biggest issue with this author, that we dont get much about the characters. How am I supposed to get to know them, if the author doesn't tell us?
OK, I finally finished the book, and I am glad it is over. The first 2 books in this series were just OK, but these latest two are just so bland. I can't get any feeling from the characters, and I don't get to know much about them. I can't care about them if I don't know them.
As before, I am still going to keep going with this series, because there is one particular story I am wanting to get to. I am just praying that when I get there, it doesn't turn out as khaki as these last two.
As far as rockstar romances go, I would not recommend this series to anyone, and I will not read these again.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Let me start off by saying there is just way too much sweetness in Bash. (Bash, I know you don’t want your secret out there but damn man you are a secret romantic at heart and I couldn’t get enough of it.)
Ellie, the words you write never cease to amaze me. I was consumed with Bash and Holly’s story. The emotions were real and very touching. You had my heart attached to Bash even more than before. The story was so much more than a “boy” in a rock band. You are also now making me have to choose between all the men of Angel Fire. Girl, I want them all.
Holly is this sweet innocent girl who has been hurt in the past and is ultimately left dumbstruck when Bash pretty much barges into her life.
Bash, the quiet one.... They are always the ones with the deepest story. He intrigued me throughout the previous books in the Angel Fire series and I am so glad we got to know his story. My heart hurt for him at times and cheered at others. I can’t lie though it was very entertaining watching the man be brought down to his knees by a girl. There were just so many parts that had me smiling or giggling. True perfection as to a man not knowing what to do when he actually has to work for what he wants. I’m telling you I had a smile on my face throughout the entire book.
Hearts Divided was everything and then some. I couldn’t put the book down. It would have been devoured in hours had “real life” not gotten in the way. Bash, Holly, the men of Angel Fire, there women, Forest and hell even the roadies are all so loveable and I couldn’t get enough of them. The comradery between the guys of Angel Fire is still there and they have each other’s backs through thick and thin. Hearts Divided is 5+++ and I sure hope we are getting more of Angel Fire in the future.
5 ***** Bash me In ***** Stars In true Ellie fashion, the characters of Angel Fire sink deeper into my heart. Bash is hit by fate with a fierce and feisty female on fire behind a drum kit. His cocksure ego gets the best of him as she blows past him and he's beside himself to chase after her. Chase, a girl? Been a long time since that happened and she made him chase, boy did he have to work for it... But God love the man who does something straight up stupid and knocks her off her game with brutal honesty. Humble is the man in truth even if his mouth sometimes gets led by his junk.
I loved how he pushed, but knew when to pull back, but still never gave up. Go big or don't go at all, is it? I felt the crackle of electricity between them and he rose to her fire, yet soothed her fears without judgement. As dynamic as these characters were, there was so much balance to themselves and to each other. Ego yet humble and fierce yet fearful. The sexual tension was off the charts and gosh I wanted more. That shower was not enough, gah, I wanted a full blown scene! The build up...killed me!
So many things about this raw and realistic journey took this couple along with the whole clan to the next phase in life. All the boys were back and they paid homage to their brotherhood again. And kept each other grounded, especially when Bash needed to get bashed by Ash. Kinda saw that train wreck coming but didn't know how it would go down. And down it did. ... But once again Bash bashed his way in once again - Go big or don't go at all!
I'm intrigued by the side bar snippets with Spike and interested to find out what's going on there ... something big is gonna happen, but I hope it's not what I think it is.... And the secret mission! Ooohhh... That's gonna be good! And I caught that old guitar Ash played at one point, hoping that she is one in the same and made it back after the crash in Hearts Desire... We never did find out what happened to her.
But this story ... The true stars of this book though, were Ranger and Duke. They stole the show!

Bash, the Angel’s Fire drummer has a thing for red-heads and a broken heart for his childhood love who up and left him. Holly is a drummer who is teaching children at the community center to play percussion instruments. Bash needs new sticks which causes him to enter Grady’s the music store. There he sees a girl with sticks in a soundproof booth playing pieces of the band’s newest song, INSANITY. He barges in, offering to teach her things. Bash is completely clueless regarding Holly. He stalks her which in his words is creepy. She ha a dog so he goes to the kennel to purchase a manly dog and ends up adopting an Irish Wolfhound who is “steps from imminent death” according to the young volunteer who is giving up his beloved puppy. And readers are off on a fun filled story as these two main characters find overlaps in their lives and a surprise which shocks not just Holly and Bash but the band as a whole. Ms Masters had this reader laughing out loud, sighing, gasping and crying as their story unfolds. Could NOT put this one down. Bash learns what two of his band mates have already learned, fate is a real thing. 5 stars
Bash's story fulfilled it's promise. The Hearts Desire drummer is a man stuck. Stuck loving the one that got away nearly two decades ago. Complicated and complex behaving exactly as expected of a rock star but under all that bravado is a lonely man. Holly plays the drums with as much fire as Bash but also has anxieties and insecurities she hides well. What happens when a rock star meets someone who doesn't behave star struck, who doesn't give him what he wants just like that? She piques his interest. Bash has a romantic heart which we see in his pursuit and wooing of Holly. Holly is perfect for him. The brotherhood of Angel Fire is as strong as ever and their women welcome Holly into the fold. Bash and Holly's story has a hiccup or two to overcome, there's a surprise, great dogs and a heart warming ending.

Where to begin? I loved this poignantly bittersweet, beautiful love story. I do believe in fate and Ellie Masters has written a love story that begins with a fateful encounter and ends happily. Rock star, Bash meets everyday girl, Holly and she turns his world upside down. Along the way there are doggy adventures, reliving loss of loved ones, treasured events with kids and epic rock band moments. Heart's Divided fits perfectly into the Angel Fire series with its strong, tantalizing, complex characters and a feel good story line.
Bash's transformation from rock god to the real caring, sentimental, romantic man he really is underneath his public persona was insightful and heartrending. Holly blossoms under Bash's attention and love. She slowly shed her anxiety, mistrust and deep seated sadness as Bash slowly fills her world with wonder and contentment.
This is the first story from this author I have read. This is also the first "Angel Fire Rock" series. I loved this story! I am definitely going to check out the "Angel Fire Rock" stories. I loved the story-line and characters in this well written book. Holly and Bash are fantastic for each other. Such incredible chemistry between these two. The story definitely contains hot steamy scenes and bag language but incredible characters. Even the secondary characters are great. I love the passion, dialogue, twists, turns and surprises this story contains. There is also some heartbreak and angst. Overall, this is a great story! Looks like I have discovered a new author to put on my reading list!
This is my 1st read and review for this author and I must say wow what a fantastic story, I hadn’t read any of the other books in this series but that didn’t stop me from getting right into this story it was amazing. Bash is the drummer of the band Angel Fire he doesn’t believe that there is love out there for him so he has plenty of one night stands until he meets Holly. Holly turns Bash’s world inside out and upside down and I loved every bit of it. This is such a fantastic story and mt upmost favourite genre and I plan on getting the other books to this series especially if they are anything like this one. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Before finishing Heart's Collide, I was hoping that Bash would get his book! I was so excited to immediately dive right in. On the surface, it looks like such a sweet read; boy meets girl, puppies and children involved! But oh, so much more to the boy meets girl! Holly's a feisty one! Wasn't sure he could handle her (or she him!). I liked how time and distance was handled in this story and also loved how the soft side of Bash was reveled. This book was full of surprises that not even a review can prepare you for! And what was up with the protective side of Spike? I'm sure there should be a story there too! Such a fun cast of characters, not to mention Ranger, Duke and Timothy! This is definitely a favorite of the Angel Fire Rock Romance Series!
Bash and Holly blew the story out of the universe. Valerie, Bash's long, lost love is also present. The way Ellie mixes and matches old love with new love is astounding. Ellie has each band member's intricate personalities separated and that makes for each story between the band member's and the loves of there lives. Always 300+ pages of unfolding quirks and idiosyncrasies into steadfast and forever loves. Thank you for another amazing story. Another book closer to Book 6, Forest's Fall. This mixes Guardian Personal Protection Specialist, which I read half of that series with Angel Fire. And But I needed to get to Book 6 before finishing out the Angel Fire series. On to Heart's Entwined.
I thought it was funny when Bash met Holly she blew him off and he wasn't sure what to do with that. He was used to women falling at his feet on their knees and she pretty much cuts him off at the knees. I found it quite funny to be honest.
Bash comes up with a plan to get to spend more time with Holly. He didn't realize though that getting a puppy that looks like a small horse might be more then he can handle. Especially when his dog doesn't listen to him. There was a lot of giggling go on while reading this book.
Holly has a life that doesn't have time for Bash but he wiggles his way in. He occupies her thoughts even when she doesn't want him to. There's more to Bash that he lets people see and Holly brings out the best in him. LOVE THIS SERIES!!!
Where do I start? Yet another mind blowing book in the Angel Fire series that will have you hooked right from page 1. This is Bash and Holly's story. Bash is the drummer in Angel Fire, hurt many years ago when his childhood sweetheart left without a word. Now he doesn't believe in love or a happy ever after and spends most of times having one night stands with groupies until he meets Holly. Holly has also been badly hurt in the past and is also doesn't believe in love. But when Bash first see's Holly he knows that she's someone special but can he convince her? It's not an easy ride for Bash and Holly by any means and it's one that made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes.
I received this book for an honest review by Booksprout. Each book in the Angel Fire Rock series by Ellie Masters is amazing and this one by far is my favorite. We finally get to read about charismatic Bash. This story was so much more than about being in a rock band but about two people both who have been hurt in the past try to come together. The chemistry between Bash and Holly was beyond expectations, sexy, emotional and touching. Loved that we get to see the mutual trust and friendship among the men of Angel Fire and their women once again. This is a must read, and I highly recommend this book.
Finally, Bash’s story! From an opening with the ego-driven angry Bash, the reader is taken through his story, the background to that anger – and his ego is cut down magnificently by Holly. One of the most endearing characters I’ve read recently, Bash can see when he’s being an ass, and he shows a romantic and caring side that leaves you weak in the knees. There are angry moments, sexy moments, bittersweet moments – and the overall story is heartwarming and gripping. The interactions with the other men and women of Angel Fire will also send you back to read or reread their stories too.

Ellie Masters has created an amazing Rock Series that can be read as stand alones or in the order they have been released. Each member of this series has had such an incredible story and Bash and Holly's is no different. I love how this author gives you tid bits throughout the series of each member and then brings it all to light in their own emotional story and gives it the adventure and background they deserve. The love that is shared between Bash and Holly has you wanting more and their chemistry is touching and vibrant. Second chance romances are always the hottest and the best; if you want a good Rock Series, this one does not disappoint
