Love, in Venice and Verona… Mistrustful of men and doubting her life choices, jilted bride Ava Ramirez goes on honeymoon alone, hoping to find peace and tranquility so that she can get her life back in order.
But her plans are thrown into disarray when she meets and falls for the tall, dark and handsome Nico Cazale. To make matters worse, Ava's ex-fiancé turns up in an attempt to win her back.
Desperately needing to shed his past reputation as a ladies man, and needing to prove to his father that he is capable of running the family business, Nico also faces difficult challenges himself.
Just when Ava thinks she can finally trust men again, a bigger problem threatens her new found love.
Can their fragile relationship survive such seemingly insurmountable problems?
Lily Zante is the author of over sixty contemporary romance and women's fiction novels. After spending two decades working in IT, she decided to give writing another try. Given her love of The Walking Dead, she started off writing zombie fiction but quickly dove into writing romance instead. She's glad she switched.
I don't know where to begin. Ava flees to Verona, the place in which her honeymoon should've taken place after being jilted by her ex fiancee. Only to embark on an affair with millionaire playboy Nicco; who's desperately trying to prove himself worthy and show his father and himself that's he's past that life. Ava and Nicco fall in love immediately. He's afraid of scarring Ava off and she's to much of a coward to stay and comfort issues. First her ex shows up then her family. In the end, the coward that she is runs away again, only this time she carrying Nicco's child. I truly believe she deserves to be miserable, for she has brought it on herself. I can't wait to find out what happens, the next chapter of this story.
First off, I love the almost realistic vibe about this book and series. Now for my quick thoughts... The heroine and hero need better communication skills. It's about time for big momma to get her grove back. And sister is a judgemental witch with a big "ol capital B.
Loving this honeymoon series. I was getting a bit frustrated how how both Ava and nico jump to conclusions and being pigheaded and not talking to each other but assuming. Can't believe how it ended. Can't wait for next book to the series
I really enjoyed this book! I liked the romantic nature of it and how I can just become so into the characters in the book. There was a little surprise in there too which I did not see coming. Can't wait to read the next one to find out more!
The second book picks up exactly where book one leaves off.
So far, what I have read is half, possibly two-thirds of a single, standalone novel - I'll try the final book next in part because I wish to see how big of a train wreck the Honeymoon Series ends up becoming.
The FMC continually falls into tragic heartache because she catches glimpses of what she assumes are potential relationship disasters. Of course, we all know that to assume makes an ass of you and me.
Whatever happened to grownups maturely seeking answers, instead of acting every time like utterly depressed headless chickens, running around crazily whilst their fallen heads cry out, Woe is me!! He still is a casual, rich playboy, who only likes "one-and-dones" !!!
Then, of course, there are the usual grammatical and phrasing errors, such as repeating words in consecutive phrases, words missing altogether, horribly mangled common phrases, etc, etc,...
Let me see how the next book fares - I sincerely hope that it gets an editor who isn’t scared to use a big, red pencil.
Enjoyed reading the 2nd novel in this trilogy, which felt so cliche’ at first, because they’re just so many ways to spin a romance! This has a nice flow to it, characters fit their parts, some added twists and turns keeps it interesting, add some awesome sex and there you have it! BAM! Then “The End” before you know it and you’re looking for the “rest of the story” as they say. Will begin the third and final novel soon because I was left hanging with an “oh hell no” ending! Although I already feel this will be classic, “happily ever after,” I’m still totally up for a surprise! I hope! No spoilers here, just good clean romance and of course, we all want the “hot, sexy, tall, dark, handsome and rich” Italian to keep for ourselves, but it’s the mystery of whether they will sort it all out that keeps me wanting more! Yes, I do recommend this 2nd novel!
I'm giving this book a 4-star review only because I find it sooooooo frustrating to be left up in the air at the end of a book. I am also frustrated at Ava and Nico jumping to conclusions about each other. Arrrrgh what is wrong with these people (other than immaturity)? But here I go plunking down another $3.99 to read the next book in the series (and probably will for #4 as well!). I so wish for the "olden days" when this series would have been one long book (but an e-book of course....hah!). Don't get me wrong, I love series with the same main characters, but each book should be a stand-alone. I guess this is one good reason to use Kindle Unlimited. Perhaps I will after I've made a very big dent in the 700+ books already on my Kindle!
This book had so many twists and turns . I was on the edge of my seat trying to persuade the main characters to simply talk to each other. At one point , I yelled for Nico, after he received some long awaited good news--you probably will too. I've purchased Book 3,
Second book in the series and I am completely hooked. Not only am I enraptured with the story between Nico and Ava but the love and admiration blooming with Elsa and Edmondo is beautiful. This story makes me want to drink a glass of wine on a terrace in Italy! Great read and can't wait to get onto book 3!
She decides to stay longer because she is falling in love fast for him. He is too but doesn't want to scare her off. They spend a few great days together but she sees him with another woman and jumps to conclusions. She wants to leave can he stop her in time from going back to the one that hurt her first? Now she has a secret and she won't tell him.
I cannot remember if I paid for this book or not, but if not, I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review this book. The saga keeps going. The characters are believable. The plot is what most of us have gone through. Just not overseas. I recommend this book as a fun light read.
wow. that ending is a killer. I really got aggravated with Eva & Nico in parts. What happened to acting like rational adults? But overall, I enjoyed the book and can't wait to read the next book to see how it all works out!
I liked this book much more than the 1st one. Liked that she brought in the family and with interaction with the parents was very sweet. At times though the insecurities of them both has me wanting to smack them both upside their heads. Can't wait to see how it all plays out in book 3.
I liked this better then the first but got extremely frustrated with Ava! Always jumping to conclusions, the wrong ones, and never actually getting the full story before acting on it. So annoying! But still, I will continue the series, I need to know what happens!!
Written in the world’s most boring style-miles of endless narrative, interspersed with an occasional light sprinkling of conversation-I found myself skimming, more than reading. It started out great. I had great hopes this was a story I could really enjoy. Then, came the thoughts, reflections, feelings, memories.....and it just bored me to tears. By the 40% point, I had lost all interest, and deleted it from my kindle. If I can skim the needless narrative, reading only the conversation, yet miss nothing of import, why do writers insist on adding in page after endless page of narrative? It drains the soul out of an otherwise great story.
After finishing the first book, which gave you a three page enticement to the next, I decided to purchase this one it was not worth my money. The main character Eva has no backbone. It’s hard to believe this is a woman in business, but she can’t make decisions. Both main characters cannot communicate and therefore everything falls apart. It’s a bit maddening, and then her family must show up to save her from herself. I will not be buying anymore. Five books to finalize one story I don’t think so. I did give it three stars for OK on the fence for giving it two stars.
I'm usually a huge Lily Zante fan, but "Honeymoon for Three" fell a bit short for me. Ava and Nico's story seems to have come to a standstill in this book. I wasn't thrilled with the reappearance of Connor. I'd like to see what happens with Ava's mother, Elsa, is future stories. Rona ... simply is Rona ... selfish, self absorbed, unhappy. I'll be reading book #3 to see what happens next. I'm really hoping Nico and Ava's story picks up some speed.
This is the second in The Honeymoon Series. I ❤️ loved the first book and the second didn't disappoint me at all, except it's still continuing. Nico still has me enthralled enough that I bought the next book in the series. I want to know how this is going to end I'm liking Lily Zante as a writer. I'm not so sure about Ava but I like Elsa and Edmondo. I'm now on to book 3.
Relationships are difficult to start with, two people trying to sort out each other's likes and dislikes, without losing one's self in the process. But throw in an ex-fiancee, a couple of parents and sibling, all in an exotic location, it just begs for complicated mixups.
