Wasn't happy it didn't have a claiming or Epilogue
Ayla wax literally saved by this dragon. To me though her reaction wasn't believable. Top that off with no epilogue or claiming I gave only 3 stars.

Hoarding His Halloween by Dawn McGraw is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number one in this start to a brand new series that I am totally hooked on and can not wait to read more. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about dragon shifters, Holiday and paranormal romance.

3⭐️ More Halloween Novellas!
I want to say that this was great... but I'd be lying through my teeth.
I wanted to like this so bad, but it felt too rushed (ik, 55 pages, who would've thought). But seriously, we spend so long just for them to meet and get things going.
It's not the worst I've ever read, but def not the best.

Her spicy caramel scent tickles his nose
Hoarding His Halloween is the first book in the Dragon's Mate Holiday series. This is also the first book I have read by Dawn McGraw, so I was not sure what to expect as you just don't know if you will like a "new to you" author or not. I thought this was a cute story but at times a bit rushed and confusing. The story is about Myla and Blaise. She is in her early twenties and has just graduated college. She is celebrating by doing something she has always wanted to do, camping in the Rocky Mountains. She she headed there with her roommate and best friend Jemma and they have hiked to the Aspen Grove State Park.
Blaise is a dragon who, when in human form, is a Park Ranger. He lives and works at the Aspen Grove State Park with his best friend Hagan, also a dragon shifter.
One early evening Blaise is busy planning a celebration for the park this weekend when a spicy caramel smell drifts into the Ranger station and catches him by surprise. He knows immediately that he needs to find who it belongs to as it has heated his dragon scales. When he goes to find her he is surprised by the woman that he sees, actually he sees two so he is not sure exactly which one is his mate. There are all sorts of things that happen between then and when they finally get their HEA.
This is a fun story that is fast moving. But it was confusing at times to know who was thinking what or speaking, which was annoying when you are trying to balance four characters, two main and two whose story is in the next book. Add in some interesting and different details for a PNR story and it definitely kept me engaged as I was reading. The characters are fun, amusing and likeable. Overall I liked the story and thought it has potential to be better.

I’m Sad
First of all, this is the first book I’ve read in the Dragondell world and it seemed as though I was supposed to know more about it than what the book gave me. It’s possible this cannot be considered a standalone and that you have to have read the full length novels before embarking on the holiday stories. Someone who has read them, may not have found an issue with the same things I have.
I loved the premise of the story, but the writing let it down. Even for a novella, there were too many places that didn’t develop enough of a thought to make it believable. There was no way to develop an attachment to any of the characters because they seemed very wooden and immature. Superficial. A reaction to a learning dragon’s are real should really be more than an “oh. Okay” response. I would be interested in reading a more developed version of this story.
The other thing that disappointed was the writer’s lack of indicating who was speaking. There was a lot of dialogue that was unclear who was saying what. I had to go back over it several times to figure it out and that took me even further out of the story. A simple “Jemma said” or “asked Myla” would have gone a long way to clearing up confusion.

This was a short and quick fated mates romance set on Halloween. Blaise instantly knows that Myla is his mate but the timing isn’t great for him. Because this is so short there was a lot of time skips which meant that we weren’t getting a lot of emotion from Blaise outside of this is my mate and I want to claim her now. Myla was very antagonistic towards him at first because she doesn’t trust men but quickly changes her tune once he rescues her. I didn’t mind either character but I think a slightly longer version would have been more impactful for their relationship.
My only real complaint was that in the very beginning the POV changes between Jenna and Myla were a bit confusing. It also made it hard to determine who the actual heroine was at first.

Later he finds the campsite with camping equipment scattered all still in its wrappers and offer to help but Myla who had grown up with a father who thought woman unable to do anything thinks he is criticizing her ability and rudely refuses any help. Blaise is a Park Ranger and a shifter, Myla is camping at the park for Halloween with her best friend Jemma when she meets Blaise but she pretends she isn't interested in him even though she is moving to town to find a new job. He and his best friend are setting up everything for the Halloween party he informs them of the night festivities and is rebuffed when he asks if he can help them put up their tent but they decline. The girls take a hike and Myla ends up in a dire situation. Blaise hears the distress in Jemma's voice when she is calling to her friend as he shifts and comes to the rescue things change for her and she finds that she wants to be with him but they are leaving the park but of course Blaise is not aware just yet. This short Halloween read has the sassy characters Blaise and Myla. Blaise is a park ranger and red dragon. Myla is camping with her best friend and both are inexperienced at camping and the great outdoors. When Blaise first meets Myla, he thinks that she may be his fated mate. When Myla first meets Blaise, she thinks he is a know it all condescending male. The fun begins from that point on. This is a quick read that is full of sass.

This book was a short Halloween read, it seemed one should know about Dragondell than we learned in this book. Maybe there is a series these novellas go with. There were of course skips in the story and the end felt rushed and left off without a mating. You can download a bonus epilogue that has the mating but not the completed bonding so it just feels rushed and unfinished. I may research to see if there is a longer series this goes with and possibly read the Thanksgiving one to see what happens and if it gets better. It was ok but I needed more.

Blaise scents his mate, he is too busy to claim her. He has a promotion to win.Myla doesn’t know why she’s so attracted to the forest ranger, but she can’t help but be a bit sarcastic with him. When myla finds herself in danger, blaise immediately helps but In order to do so, he has to show her his dragon. This is well written short story with a happy ever after ending.

A A Dragons Mate Holiday Short by Dawn McGraw is a gripping tale with amazingly well-written thought out characters. It is a short read, but has a lot of great chemistry and cannot wait to read more by her. A must read story that is entertaining, sexy and action-packed. They are both strong characters that evolve into a wonderful, interesting couple.

This is a fast paced short sweet sexy romance story that I loved reading. I loved Blaise and Myla they were well written and developed with an amazing chemistry together. Their story is hot and spicy with him being a dragon and park ranger and is there when she needs help while camping and on a hike. The chemistry between them is amazing, entertaining, sexy and action-packed. I can't wait to read more.

This is a short sweet story about Myla who goes camping with her best friend to the Rocky Mountains and from there they hike to Aspen Grove state park. Blaise is a dragon shifter he’s also a ranger in the park and while getting the celebration ready for the park he smells something really nice and it gets his dragon excited so he goes off to find who has that enticing smell. Sorry guys no spoilers because it’s such a short story but it’s a fantastic one and I recommend this book.

It's Halloween but it's not Halloween, a pumpkin / Halloween festival is mentioned, but Halloween has nothing to do with the story.
I definitely think the epilogue should have been included and not an extra download. It didn't seem complete without it, so I wouldn't suggest reading it without downloading that at the end when it is offered.

Super short
Since it's a short story, the entire thing is rushed. It's a little confusing as to who he is going for between the two friends since he starts out targeting the red head, and ends up with the brunette. 🌶️🌶️/5 spice.

The other thing that bothered me is she was all resistant to him until she thinks she's dreaming and climbs in his lap, then BAM she's not a snarky asshole to him anymore and gets all weepy.

This is a great lunch time read it is a well-written and fast-paced short story that captivated me from the start. The storyline is entertaining, sexy and action-packed. Blaise and Mayla are both strong characters that evolved into a wonderful couple.

Well mean man is all I can say for this short story. You will laugh at the way this story unfolds and how left to themselves men can make all the womans hard work to impress the man go right out the window with the dragon man thinking he needs to make everything so much bigger in his devotion to her.

This is a short or quick story. It is easy to read and light. The story has drama and angst it also light. I like Myla but she is stubborn a d afraid to trust herself. I like Blaise. He is strong and ready for love.

A Halloween treat
This was a quick cute read. I was not really sure of Myla at first, she seemed to be more nasty than strong when she met her dragon. But then she survived a few minor disasters and calmed some. Thank you Jemma for being the voice of reason. I would have loved for the story to be longer and am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Hoarding His Halloween
This was a cute and quick read. Myla and Blaise had a rocky start, but I liked their ending. It felt a bit jumpy and I wanted a bit more information about the dragons and their magic, but maybe it's found in the other books of the series. I enjoyed it and will read more.

short and action packed!
This is a good read for those wanting a quick easy read with a stand alone ending. I found the characters interesting with some easy to understand backgrounds. Instalove, couple of quick life threatening situations and fated mates the book will fit that description for you.

This was an insta-love, fated mate's story with an HEA. It was written pretty well and flowed well, I just wish there was more to it. It's under 100 pages. I like insta-love stories, but I still like more relationship building. I enjoyed the book, I'm just not sure yet if I'm continuing the series, but I probably will though lol tbh. lol

A sweet Halloween Dragon shifter romance story. This is a quick and steamy read, it will hold your attention all the way through. The chemistry between Blaise and Myla is steamy, they fit well together. A great book to take you away for a bit.
