Beware of the company kept. All may not be as it seems.

The threat from Loki's monstrous children remains, as Odin had predicted. With the trickster father at large, only one path remains—the mother must be sweetened. Perhaps a little chat with a frost giantess will go smoothly, and she will happily control her children, right?

Desperate to delay the onset of Ragnarok, Kara must enter Jotunheim and face the danger of the frost giants to seek Angrboda’s help. The outcome could go either way, considering the giantess dislikes all Asgardian gods except for her beloved Loki.

You know I absolutely loved a book when even the frustration of a cliffhanger ending isn't enough to stop me giving it five stars. Yeah, it was that good. Had life allowed for it, I could have easily devoured this book in one sitting. The plot is fun, action-packed, and exciting. The worldbuilding is excellent. The characters are well-rounded, believable, and showing clear signs of development as the series progresses. It's also well-written. What more could you ask for? Now I need the next book... Thank goodness the author never makes us wait all that long between books, so I won't be left wondering what happens next for too much longer.

*NOTE: I was given a free advanced copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. This fact has in no way influenced either my opinion of the book or the contents of this review, and all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

First, I really need to mention, I love the significance of the world tree and how it opens up a different means of inter realm travel. The squirrel requiring insults…that’s a must keep ( I hope). Of course “the escape” happens. You can only have faith in the fact that the mischievous one doesn’t color between the lines if he can help it. On the not so good side…I knew who was disguised but from a young reader standpoint, the story is still good. This particular section of the storyline does show more of the frailty of the dragons, which makes the threats ever more ominous. Book 3 has me very curious what lies within.

This series keeps getting better and better!
“Pursuit” continues “Thor’s Dragon Rider’s mythological tale with even more action, drama, suspense and magic with Loki on the loose thanks to Kara. Read “Pursuit” to continue this action-packed, intriguing tale.
