I picked up this fanfiction due to a friend's recommendation, and I have never been more thankful for trusting my friend's excellent taste.
The story is so engaging and exciting, it basically opened me to a brand new world. The first time I read it I was 13 and hadn't the faintest idea of what insomnia was, but the story explained it to me so well. The author showed the real struggle and problems of dealing with the different spectres of insomnia without romanticising it awfully much. I've constantly been rereading this fanfiction for the past 5 years and it is singlehandedly my favourite story to come back to at least once a year (as of now I have visited it 94 times, opting for a 100).
The characters are very well-developed and I find the story ingenious. Every time I reread it, I find myself reacting or understanding better why certain characters act the way they do. In a way, this is my own "Little Prince".
It might seem unserious to some to write such a lengthy review on a "mere" fanfiction, but I believe this story deserves so much praise, words can't even put how immaculate it is. Furthermore, I tend to revisit it in different stages of my life, therefore I connect it with many (some great, some not so much) memories. The author has my full appreciation for taking the time to create this story, to create their story, and for the choice to share it with the world. Truly, thank you!
