Fated mates and forbidden love. Escape into the magic of the White Mountains with the Franconia shifters.
Grayson is beta to Rafe alpha of the Franconia wolf pack but every since Damon their enforcer followed his fated mate into the Sacco territory to rescue her he had to kill their enforcer and the Sacco alpha wants life for life so Grayson called for a mediator to help resolve the issue without war. Aurora is a practicing witch, she lives with her aunt she is not sure that she like solving issues for different groups anymore but is not sure what she wants to do with the rest of her life. When Aurora arrives she is treated better than she expected but she is not aware that she is the fated mate of Grayson and he acted weird when he met her and Veronica his assistant acted as if she was waiting for him to come to her but he has no desire to be with her or any woman just to be with them he wants a mate, and now he has found her but cannot tell her because of her obligations and she might think he was doing it to get her to take sides so he kept quiet but he spent every opportunity he could with her. She knew there was something between them but he didn't make any moves. The Sacco pack treated her like she was less than wanted and would not even offer a chair or a glass of water to her. The Sacco pack lived off the land. They made it plain that they were not intending to except anything less than they ask for. Aurora wasn't sure how she was going to get through to the pack but she was willing to do anything to help Grayson's pack and the Sacco pack come to a truce. An interesting storyline and the characters are intriguing also. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Wolf and His Forbidden Witch The White Mountain Shifter Clan and the Sacco River Pack are having a dispute. White Mountain Shifters owns a ski resort in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The mate of the Pack Enforcer strayed on to Sacco River lands and was threatened. Damon saved his mate at the cost of the life of a Sacco River Pack member. First the Sacco Pack wants Damon’s life in exchange. Now the Sacco River Pack wants the White Mountain Pack to give up their mountain and resort to make amends. Grayson, the Beta, decides to bring in a mediator. He contacts a Witch Coven in Salem to send a mediator to resolve the impasse in negotiations. Aurora arrives to help. Grayson finds his mate in Aurora but a witch mate is forbidden territory. He and Aurora must work to defuse the hostilities between these two packs before war breaks out. They have to shelve their attraction until they can negotiate an agreement. Can this work? This is the exciting second book in the White Mountain Shifter series. This book was a page turner. I enjoyed Grayson’s story. I need more White Mountain Wolves!
This is the second book in this series, as tensions mount between the packs' Aurora is assigned to help Grayson maintain the peace between them, but things aren't going as smoothly as they would hope. The situation isn't helped by the palpable chemistry between Aurora and Grayson which they both try their best to deny.
Aurora and Grayson are well-drawn, likeable characters whom you can't help but want to be together but.... The storyline is intense at times and has enough drama and tension to satisfy as well as great chemistry and romance.
This was another exciting look into the White Mountain shifters and their difficulties with the Sacco pack. Aurora, a witch negotiator, is sent in to try and save all from a bloody war. Things escalate, though, when Grayson and Aurora meet. They are fated mates but must try to put that aside while the talks are on. Of course, nothing goes to plan and lives are at risk. I enjoyed seeing another match for these upstanding wolves and look to seeing more find their path to love.
I found this book to be very entertaining. The struggle between doing ones duty and following ones desire is always a fun and interesting journey. The characters were well written and the story line kept me engaged.

Escape into the magic of the White Mountains with the Franconia shifters.” This second book is exciting, full of drama, tension, steam and so much more. There is great chemistry between the characters and a great storyline that will grab you hook, line and sinker. Definitely a great second book!
This was a very enjoyable read. The storyline grabbed my attention and I particularly enjoyed the whole torn between duty and desire angle. Aurora and Grayson were very likable and you could feel their attraction from their first meeting. The book is filled with romance, emotion, drama, tension and a lot of intensity. Altogether a excellent read. This is my independent, impartial review.
Aurora is assigned to help Grayson keep the peace between 2 packs. The negotiations prove to be challenging, as does their attraction for one another. Very good book.

Wow! Another fantastic PNR shifter, steamy romantic page-turner! “The Wolf and His Forbidden Witch: A Howls Romance” is the 2nd fresh, new must read in the ‘White Mountain Shifter’ series! ... With relatable characters like the H/h, Grayson & Aurora, witty dialogue and great descriptions... I loved this so much & was hooked from the start & read it all in one afternoon! ... I was lucky to grab this thru my *Amazon KU* extended trial membership, so yes I can honestly recommend this to all Adult fans of fiction & I can’t wait for more!! But I will ;)
The Wolf and his Forbidden Witch is the second book set within the White Mountain Shifters series. The romance stands alone, but there is an overarching storyline that’s best read in order. Tensions are too tight between Grayson’s pack and their neighboring pack, so he calls in a mediator. Aurora comes in ready for discussions, but doesn’t expect her attraction to Grayson. She’s his mate, a witch, and forbidden, but can he protect her?
One of my favorite parts about this book is that the storyline from the first book continues to this book, and it flows really well! I loved the parts that Grayson and Aurora play in the story, plus knowing that their attraction and budding relationship is forbidden was a really fun aspect of the storyline, too! I don’t often read about mates that shouldn’t mate, or that would need to wait, so that was refreshing for me! Aurora was patient and tried so hard to do the right thing. I loved that her passion was with helping others find positive direction, so I really enjoyed when she let herself dream about her own future and what she wanted. Grayson is known as the calm and collected one, especially being pack beta, but I loved that his mate just brought restlessness and turmoil to his life. They had a fun dynamic and some good steam! The background tensions are getting pretty intense, so I am really excited to see what the next book will bring and hopefully find a solid conclusion!
She was sent to mediate between two wolf packs. Failure means a bloody war. Shifters were difficult if only she could make a difference. Her first meeting was with Grayson and he was not what she expected. A professional-looking executive not even considering how hot!
He was CFO of the pack and their huge Ski Resort. What they didn't need was a war with the pack they'd finally been at peace with for ten years. He hoped the witch mediator could do the job. When he met her he did know one important thing. She was his mate. How could he keep a professional distance when his wolf was going crazy to claim her.
How will they negotiate and keep their feelings separate or will they? How will Grayson deal with watching his mate go to their enemy alone especially when the other pack had already tried to steal one mate from Grayson's pack?
This is the second book in this series but it reads as a stand alone but do yourself and read anything of Lisa's that you can get your hands on you won't be disappointed
Grayson, beta of the Franconia pack is trying to keep the peace a member of the Sacco pack was killed after he threatened the mate of Damon the Franconia packs enforcer Yes she had strayed onto their land but it was an accident First the Sacco wanted Damon's life now they are demanding the mountain and the resort on it owned by the Franconia pack. At his wits end Grayson decides to bring in a neutral witch mediator from Salem. Aurora is the witch that Salem sends there is an instant attraction between her and Greyson in fact his wolf is going crazy yelling mate but they cannot act on it until the impasse between the two clans is solved can they have a future you will have to read to see
This is the second book in the series "White Mountain Shifters", but it can be read on its own, There is enough information given, to understand the story. In Book One, A wolf from the Franconia Pack crossed over the border to the neighboring pack to protect his mate, and this resulted in the death of one of the Sakko Pack. They demand that man's head should Franconia want to avoid a pack war. This book begins with Grayson, the Franconia Beta, calling in a mediator, to avoid either solution. What he had not counted on was that the mediator sent would be his fated mate and a witch. A thrilling story, as romance is mixed with intrigue and pack politics and acceptance of lifestyle. The elements are well blended and as a whole make a great story, entertaining and well-written. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wolves are a stubborn breed and the tension among the packs is growing, sending them closer to a territorial dispute. So Beta Grayson sends for an outside mediator to assist in the negotiations before the tension erupts into war. When the witch, Aurora, arrives, Grayson recognizes that she is his mate!
Aurora is feeling something for Grayson too. He is considerate, caring, selfless, and willing to do anything for others. And for him, the pack’s welfare is the primary goal, so he must ignore his craving for her as they put the negotiation first. Will Aurora return home once the negotiations end? Will he get the chance to convince her to become his mate? Or will the distraction to the sensitive negotiations come from an entirely unexpected direction as Veronica goes into a jealous rage and tries to kill Aurora?
After a wolf from the Sacco pack has been killed by Enforcer of the Franconia Pack Damon to save his mate, Grayson, beta of the Franconia pack and CFO of their mountain resort, hopes to avoid more bloodshed by bringing in a mediator when negotiations sour. He brings in a witch as an outside mediator, what he never imagined was his wolf starting to howl in anticipation of her closeness. Will this witch be able to negotiate a truce between the 2 packs, or will her presence start a war Grayson is trying to avoid.
Aurora has been a very successful mediator for the paranormal for quite some time, but now she fears she may have to rethink her profession as she lays eyes on the Beta that asked for help.
I love it and can't wait for the next book. Grayson is the beta for the Franconia Mountain wolf pack. There is tension with his pack and another and they are on the brink of war. He calls in a mediator to try to come up with a new treaty and to keep from going to war. Aurora works with her aunt at the Salem Supernatural Network. She is a witch and she is asked to go to Franconia Mountain to mediate between two wolf packs. She is attracted to Grayson and Grayson realizes that she is his mate. They try to put aside personal things and concentrate on the treaty and it doesn't go well. A must read.

Second book in the White Mountain Shifters series. Can be read out of order but will be spoilers if you do. Grayson is the beta of his pack. He helps with disputes within the pack and with the resort the pack owns. But now they are on the brink of war with a neighbor pack. He would do anything to stop any bloodshed but the other pack only seems to want it more and more. That brings in the mediator. Aurora is a witch and will be as impartial as possible to help both packs. But the second she meets Grayson she knows that that may not be possible.
Grayson, a wolf shifter and the beta of the Franconia pack, has called for a mediator to avoid a pack war. Aurora is sent to mediate between two packs. The one thing Grayson didn't count on was that he would find his fated mate would be the witch sent to mediate. This is a fated mates love story that is filled with pack drama, strong characters, an entertaining storyline, and a great ending. I look forward to reading the next book in the White Mountain Shifters series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Grayson needs help to negotiate with the other pack of wolfs on the mountain. Aurora has come to help she a negotiator and also a witch. From the first moment Grayson see her he knows she his mate but that’s going to cause trouble in her job. So he try’s to stay away but just can’t. Aurora fells attraction to Grayson but she needs to do her job but the other pack are difficult to deal with. But the true trouble comes from a jealous wolf shifter that wants Grayson. So enjoy the read and see how it works out and what comes next!!
I liked the story. I think the wolf pack who wants blood is ridiculous and needs destroyed. The whole situation is stupid. Having a negotiator is even ridiculous. Sending a negotiator onto pack land is dangerous and like stupid and yet they did. Imagine that. Honestly the story is ok. The premise behind the issue between packs is just plain dumb. They wold who died did so by taking a mate period. To demand someone's life is well ridiculous. I liked the witch. The negotiations not so much. And yet there's another story with the rival still continuing.
Very complicated endeavor. Meeting your Mate and not be able to court her. Trying to stay neutral and not show favoritism. It is something Aurora is having trouble with. Of course the other pack is not budging with what they want. How can you rectify something like a death? From the other side of the death, someone takes your Mate and you have the right to get them back. By any means necessary, right? Great story and very interesting also. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
As beta of the pack his job was to protect and negotiate but as his dealings with the Sacco pack fail the witch mediator was much more than expected. The story has a taste of danger but the need to hold back when the mating fever is intense really makes this book sizzle, the anticipation of when. I'm really liking the theme and ongoing storyline between the books so I want more.

A really good book two in the White Mountain Shifters series! The story line is well-developed, well written, emotionally deep, and engaging. There are ups and downs, drama, pack politics, suspense, angst, and more. The characters are well written, fated mates, and likeable; they chemistry between them is off the charts! Definitely recommended!

The Wolf and His Forbidden Witch by Lisa Carlisle is an awesome story that I have had the privilege to read and give my honest review on. This is book number two in this awesome series that I am so hooked on and can not wait to read the rest. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, witches, contemporary and paranormal romance.

Grayson and Aurora are matched at the most inopportune time. She's supposed to be helping with the Sacco pack negotiations, not falling in love. It doesn't help that he has an admirer who refuses to listen to reason. All heck's going to break out, but with love on the line, the fight is worth it. A great story in the series. Can't wait to see how Rafe fares. The editing could have been better.
This is a well written witch/shifter romance between Grayson and Aurora. The author brings strong characters and weaves an interesting story with a ton of tension between packs as well as the sexual tension between Grayson and Aurora who both realized instantly on meeting that they are fated mates. Their chemistry is off the charts and they have a witty banter. I loved reading their story.
