I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!! I true one click author for me, I pretty much read everything Monique Orgeron writes without even reading the blurbs. But for those that a care, this is the next installment in the Youngbloods series (a spin off the Stern Family) this mafia series keeps getting better and better. Gunner is a force to be reckoned with but when Chloe, the feisty h that hates him cross his path he finds himself thrown off course. These two, oh my! I couldn't put it down and read (pretty much straight threw) and realized too late this is A CLIFFHANGER!! Why?! Lucky for me the next book releases very soon. I highly recommend this book, but you should read in order for a better understanding of the characters and plotline.

I'm not sure how Monique does it. Every book she writes is absolutely my favorite. Gunner's story, even though we've only gotten some of it I guarantee will be tearing my heart out.

Oh my gosh, that cliffhanger!!!! What are you doing to me. The turmoil that is gunner but the love chloe can give him. And Brittany....wow do I love her all the more. You already know I love your books but boy do I need the next book like yesterday!!! You are the only author I've read every book from and these series are the reason. Your words, the storyline wow. Please never stop writing.

Well Monique certainly hit out of the ball park with this book. We don’t know who or what Gunners after but if he’s earning the Sterns trust it’s big. Then a distraction is thrown his way in the shape of the beautiful Chloe. Wow she’s a crazy feisty woman and she’s driving Gunner crazy in more ways than one. I love how all the family are still in each story and it makes me feel as though I’m a member.. Gunner is a hard man but I think he has a soft centre whereas Chloe is fiery and flippant but but has a good heart and cares. I love the banter between them and how they are slowly learning about each . They’re beginning know how each other ticks and how to handle their feelings.
This story has twists and turns, secrets, love and laughter and as it’s starts getting really juicy, we’re hit with a cliffhanger ending!!. Well done Monique !!

I love good mafia romances and Monique writes the best ones.
I swear she gets better with every book she writes.
The life of the Mafia families is not sugarcoat in her stories.
Her Stern Family Saga and the spinoff The Youngblood series are raw, dark, gripping and suspenseful romances.
This book is the first book in the duet about Gunner and Chloe.
Chloe grew up very protected and isolated from the dark side of the world, but she is a grown up woman and wants her own life without her family suffocating her. That's of course is not easy with a mafia family.
Gunner grew up in the darkest side of the world, but he got out and built his reputation to seek revenge.
He doesn't want money or power, but unwillingly or not the power chose him or in this case the boss of the Mafia family did.
Why? That's something we'll hopefully learn in the second book.
This series has so many secrets and power games it crazy 😱
Two stubborn, moody and angry people that are forced to be together for 24/7 over few weeks.
Yeah, that works exactly like it sounds. Not a bit!
Two people who shouldn't be together and who definitely don't fit together.
It could only end in disaster, right?

Omg it is so good I love how he kept on calling her a princess to annoy her. He was told to protect her and keep his hands off which he does until.... Her sister is a stern by marriage and she has raised her since losing their parents. It was a great book loved his protection and the way he was with her. Catherine has another agenda for him and her. It was incredible

Monique did it again! The whole family just can’t keep their noses out of their kids business! Chloe and Gunner are so wrong for each other they have to be right for one another. I so wish I had someone this HOT and RIPPED saving me when I was in college.....

Absolution does not disappoint. This is the first part. Gunner has secrets he has a plan, a death wish of a plan that is not really revealed just little breadcrumbs of the conflict he's in to tease. He keeps his cards close, trusts no-one he may be a Youngblood but he is determined not to let anyone in. He doesn't expect to be derailed by Chloe but she is like a sledgehammer feisty with a zero to sixty temper. Angry at her sister, Brittany and the secrets she kept, Chloe wants to be the good girl gone bad, Gunner has be tasked with trying to keep her out of trouble. This orchestrates some humorous encounters. Of course there are cameos from characters we know and love. Then the cliffhanger just as you are getting comfortable.

Another ferocious roller coaster of a ride from this author. The Stern family just keeps on growing as more and more secrets come to light and associates get sucked into the family circle.
Gunner has always had a air of mystery about him; we finally get to hear his story. His match needed to be feisty, opinionated and stubborn... meet Chloe. Perfection! I love how this one is a slow burn, how its hate at first sight! As the story progresses you can feel their emotions towards each other changing. Gunner could never be an insta love kinda guy so this spot on. I did feel towards the middle part of this story that it didn't really progress as I would expect. I still enjoyed it none the less.
Once again an almighty cliffhanger followed by screams of... "You can't finish it there. Surely!!" as I frantically tap my kindle in the hope more words are written!! Gah! Waiting is not my thing!

I couldn't wait for this book to come out since Gunner was first introduced in this series. This book was better than I could have ever expected but then again this is a Monique Orgeron book so there never was a doubt that it would be great. You have Gunner who is a loner who keeps to himself and more secrets and scars than anyone but for some reason Catherine Stern has taken a liking to him and he has proved his loyalty to her. Gunner is on a mission and babysitting is not it. Enter Chloe she is Brittany's little sister and is not having anyone including Brittany or Gunner tell her what to do. She is determined to make her own choices whether good or bad. Through a series of events they soon start to realize that maybe they both could have what they never dreamed possible. This book had me laughing, crying and so mad that I wanted to throw my kindle but then broke my heart for these two. Id the first part was this great I can only imagine what we will go through in part two. Congratulations Monique you have another hit on your hands.

Monique Killed it again!!! She absolutely knows how to RIP your soul out and drag you across the ground. Pick you up hug you. Hit you back again, make you cry to the point you feel like there is no return, and then she hugs you all over again, that is how it feels when you read one of her books. And each book gets better and better with Every character!!! Gunner and Chloe are damaged but in their own way, I absolutely LOVED ABSOLUTION!!! I CAN NOT WAIT FOR SALVATION TO COME OUT, BECAUSE I KNOW MONIQUE IS GOING TO RIP MY WHOLE SOUL OUT ALL OVER AGAIN!! She is amazing with her words. I love her books. I get so excited when I know a new one is coming because even though I know my soul will be shredded, I know her book is going to be AMAZING AND EPIC. I've been waiting for what seems like forever to get Gunner's story! He is a mysterious man that has been lurking in the other Youngbloods books. I knew he had a great story to tell and let me tell you, this Absolution (Youngbloods #5) was just the beginning of his story. While we learned a lot about what has made Gunner so secretive in his reasons for getting close to the Stern Family, the cliffy of all cliffies in this book, leaves us hanging with our mouth wide open just thirsting for more answers!!! Can Not Wait until Salvation (Youngbloods #6) releases!!!!

Absolution is the 5th book in the Youngblood series, and it is ah-mazing! I just knew when Gunner was briefly introduced in earlier books that his story was going to be as intriguing as it was exciting, and boy was I right!
I believe that every person ( no matter how broken) has a person out there that was made just for them, and boy this is right on the money regarding Gunner and Chloe! Is their story full of roses and rainbows? Heck no! Their story is raw and real. I swear I felt every emotion that exists while reading this! And that ending? It was the mother of all cliffhangers! I need the next book ASAP!

Wow this is a very intense dark read that keeps you hooked from the beginning to end. This story is very well written that has you feeling like you are in the story and very shocked to fine that the secrets are coming out.

Absolution is absolutely AMAZING! I love the way this author writes her ‘mob family’, each character broken in some way shape or fashion, but when put back together with their perfect partners they are stronger than they ever thought they could be, and I have a feeling thats what we are going to see between Chloe and Gunner once they pull their heads out of their … Gunner is such a juicy onion of a character to peel the layers from! The more we dig, the more questions we have. And Chloe! Such a sweet hearted woman, can she be ‘hard and cold’ enough to be what Gunner needs? We’ve seen growth from them both, reluctance to trust as both have had their trust broken by people before and their wounds are still fresh, I can’t wait until we learn their secrets, and more importantly, they learn EACH OTHERS secrets. Bring on Salvation!

Monique doesn't know but she can NEVER end the Sterns and the Youngbloods. EVER!! Gunner piqued my interest from the first time he showed up. I knew his story was going to be a good one. While you get glimpse and pieces of his story, he is still a mystery. Your heart can't help but break for him at times. Chloe is so likeable! She's in a tough spot and you can't blame her for being so angry. The banter, the fighting and the chemistry between the Gunner and Chloe is off the chart! I loved it! Now I just need the rest of their story!

It ended way too soon. There's a dark past to Gunner and I can't wait to hear every detail!! Seeing the softer side to him with Chloe is heart warming. This book is excellent and as always, leaves you wanting more. The next book can't come fast enough!!!

This book actually had me going through every emotion. I laughed, hurt, teared up and yelled. I have been waiting for Gunnar, but this book goes beyond my expectations. I am so dying for more from Gunnar and Chloe. And the glimpses of the rest of the family are awesome. I can not wait for more. I need to know what happens so bad.

Amazing writing I got an arc copy and the book is a page turner, but the author does not value her readers sanity and wants to send us all to the nuthouse by driving us crazy with ending it with a cliff hanger at that omg moment are you kidding me and making us wait. Amazing book by an amazing author, but the writer has an evil streak.

Funniest Mafia Romance Novel she has ever written!!!! The chemistry between the two main characters Gunner and Chloe tug at the heart string as the fight and learn about one another one piece at a time as the both fight against their own battles and each other it’s fire keg ready to blow in soooo many good ways.

This book is the best one yet from Monique Orgeron. I keep saying that and she keeps upping her game. Gunner and Chloe are young, fun and even a little dark. Love this book and I CANNOT wait for the conclusion.

3.5 Stars. I enjoyed this book and love tortured soul Gunner and felt like Chloe was a good match. The biggest problem with this book is the use of a stalker to keep them in physical proximity. It's not so much the stalker plot, even though it's stale as hell, but that it takes them MONTHS to catch the person. That's just ridiculous. One camera in a hallway would have solved the case in a matter of days. Instead it takes TWO books to get this resolved. I couldn't suspend disbelief.
I also didn't really like the very "Voldemort" way they approached the bad guy as always "him". It felt weird that everyone was onboard with that even without knowing the backstory connection between "him" and Gunner. I know from previous Youngblood books that he was a traitor during the Stern Family Saga series but I have no idea who he was because I haven't read those.

Once again Monique drags us there a roller coaster ride with Gunner and Chole. Their story doesn’t disappoint from start to finish you’ll be sitting at the edge of your seat trying to guess and figure things out.
We learn more on Chole and find out who she if other then Brittany’s little sister. She’s a hard working college student who’s just trying to find her place.
Gunner is one guy I’ve been trying to figure out since he was announced in the series. Learning more and more about him he’s still a mystery that you can’t solve.

Again!?!?!
Getting a tad tired about the way things always end in this series. We get a whole book of background and then when it’s finally picking up it ends. Very frustrating to say the least. I struggle to stay with this one because it keeps circling around and not getting to the point it then revs up and I am like YEAH and then it ends.
Gave less stars because of it wanted to give even less but the writing is too good. I am stuck reading the next.

Gunner has always been this mysterious and quiet guy, always watching everything that goes on. This book finally gave us some insight into him and his past, but also left of us with cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book
