Things I’ve won in Libra Academy: An expensive education. A vampire sworn to me forever. An incubus on a leash. A man who’d give up everything to save me.

Things I’ve lost: My dignity. My honor. My mortality.

My blacklist has been narrowed down to two: the king of the vampires, and the slayer who helped him. I’m no longer welcome as a student in Libra Academy, but I can’t leave New York until I save my new home: the Clouded Court. I’ve promised my stalwart knight I’d do anything to destroy his Maker, and I’ve got plans to put a new queen on the throne.

I have Càel. My new sisters. A demonic Prince’s infernal spy. And the son of a man who might have a far darker soul than I ever imagined.

We’re a crew of misfits, but sometimes that’s who you need for dirty deeds.

And against all odds, those deeds might just be the way to my newly-immortal heart.

Dirty Deeds is the third and final book of Victoria’s Trilogy in the Bonds of Blood universe, a steamy, medium-burn reverse harem bully romance in a college-age academy setting. This book is for mature audiences and contains triggers.

I won‘t rate this series, simply because Going into it, I knew damn well that I am not the right audience for Bully romance. I picked it up nevertheless, because I binged all books by the author within the last few days and was in a Fuck it, let‘s do this! Mood.

I hated the first book even more than I expected, I found the reasons and behaviours ridiculous, petty and simply not good enough to explain the absolute nastiness of their actions - basically I choose to ignore that the book existed at all, since it disgusted me more than anything.

But I am a sucker for the writing style and especially for the heroines Cate Corvin creates so I choose to read on. The second book was way better for my anger management and at least she didn‘t cave super fast, like normal in these types of books, where the heroes have to do nothing more than wave their huge dicks around to be forgiven, she made them work for it. Still wasn‘t really satisfying and I didn‘t get the change of the boys (cause they sure as hell ain‘t men) AT ALL, there basically was no development of character from the last disgusting scene in book one to absolute desperation and guilt and whatever in book two, it was so aprubt with Will and not believable at all. With Sura it was a little more natural, but still confusing and ... it just felt off.

Book three is best, because I can really pretend none of that shit ever happened, they are almost over it besides some insecurities and they have a lot more going on elsewhere.

So in a way it was what I expected, one of my most hated tropes Bully Romace didn‘t let me really enjoy the series, but because I like the style of the author I still was entertained enough, despite some huge flaws in world and character building or the super lame villain.

And when I say, I enjoy the writing style I mostly mean I am living for how she handles her heroines to be honest^^ I am always up for a Badass and even more so, when she isn‘t in relationships with absolute overpossessive, smothering and controlling alphaholes.

I am usually able to pinpoint what isn't working for me in a book but I am not able to in this one. It was a great conclusion to a series but I liked the previous two books much more. Something felt off here.
Also, I got my answers but there are many loose ends and plot points that seem to be thrown in just for a spin off and therefore there is not much info about them. That sent my mind into a frenzy.
Loved Tori and Cael a lot though. The inner monologues were really funny !

So not my favorite series by Corvin, but book 2 was definitely better than two for me. I just didn't enjoy the characters in this one as much.

3.5 ish stars. So, while I thoroughly enjoyed the finale of this series, I still wasn't shipping any one but Cael for our FMC. I loved him despite his psycho. Even through everything I was just a little meh about our other dudes. Everything really comes to a head here in book 3. Even though there is really a lot happening the author took a lot of time it seems to "set up" a spinoff. Haven't seen the spinoff yet in her works so maybe its planned for later. There were several instances where I thought some of the plot points were either not really explained in great enough detail so that they didn't come off in more of a "convenient" light. Honestly, tho, I felt like maybe the author was saving that.. possibly for the spinoff? The Nephillim gaurdian dude, the Angel.. I would have loved more info about them and what their purpose really entails. It really felt like the author was purposely vague throughout their time here and that lead the plot to close in a "convenient" way for me. I would also have loved way more info about the fae, and their promise and what that entails for the future.

Honestly, it was a good series and definitely worth the read.. I just felt like it could have been more.... in the long run maybe it will be. This author has great FMC's though without question. Totes down for more of her works.

Phenomenal ending to an amazing series! I'm going to miss Tori and her harem of hotties so very much, but can honestly say that this final book was a perfect finale for them.

The action packed into this book keeps you on your toes until the very end and the steam is everything we've come to expect from these four and more! It's bittersweet to say goodbye to these characters I've come to love but I couldn't have asked for anything to be done differently. It was perfect!

It reads like it was written by a different person.
In a bad way.
Someone who writes those corny, short form, fantasy video series, and should be imprisoned for the crime of cringe.

The characters are almost entirely different.
Trying way too hard to be deep but also trying to be funny? It’s a ridiculous degradation and desecration of the series.

It’s not until 40% in that there’s an actual development that made me perk up in hope that my time wasn’t being wasted.
(Spoiler alert: it was.)
It’s ridiculous, but so is the fact that I was still reading it at all.

The spice is awful.
Fast, lacking chemistry, and vague.
There are even words missing!
“I slid my gently into her.”
Yeah.
The craziest thing about this unadvisory ‘fill in the blank’ is that there are actually two blanks there, and the answers aren’t what you’d expect.

It’s choreographed so poorly that the pain in the ass, without necessary preparation, really belongs to the reader.

The climax is only okay. A lot of build up for… that.

I skimmed the rest. Couldn’t care less anymore.
It’s not good and I wouldn’t suggest it.

I was hesitant to pick this up since it was a bully romance, and I know they don't always resonate well with me. I'm sad this sat on my TBR last for two years since I loved everything about this series. I should have known Corvin wouldn’t let me down. Born a Slayer, Victoria has her preconceived notions about Shadow Worlders ripped apart thoroughly after she becomes one. In the first book, her stepbrother, Will and his best friend, Sura illustrates enough bullying against her to nearly warrant her dismissal from Libra Academy. I was grateful that Vic actually took her revenge in blood before they got to have any sort of relationship with her again. Cael quickly became one of my favorite vampires ever and his relationship with Vic really blossoms in book 2. The ending for book 3 was unexpected but still amazing. This series will definitely land on my favorites list. (4/5 rating)

AWW!! I would like to know how Cate is able to tell a story with such intensity, and sincerity that when I finish it I feel like I am leaving my best friends behind?

This was the most epic and astounding conclusion to Victoria’s story. Of all the characters Cate has written, and I have loved, Tori will hold a special place. Something about this tough, take no prisoners woman connected with me on a personal level. Hero worship much? That’s a hard YUP!

Cáel, Sura, and Will make me so happy, the dynamic that they develop in this book is one of true brotherhood and the times when you get to see them interacting amongst themselves brought me such joy. Sura makes me laugh out loud, and his bond with will is the best Bromance I think I have ever read.

Shall we talk about the little Easter eggs Cate sprinkled throughout the last few chapters? Do I see future stories in the works? Naturally I’m salivating to get my hands onto any hypothetical or literal books she writes.

This was a fantastic book!! Please read anything of Cate’s but totally try this series for some kick ass female heroines who take no prisoners!

Happy Reading!

Another trilogy done and dusted. Gotta say I prefer them compared to drawn out series. Plenty of sex, violence and romance. The guys are learning. My favourite so far from this author. Covers all bases but feels more like a HFN so looking forward to seeing them again outside their story. Not so sure about the epilogue.

Just doing one review for the series. This is a good RH series, but if you're looking for slow build then this one is not for you. Good character development and action though the plot as a whole was a bit cookie cutter. How many paranormal RH's need to be set in a paranormal school? Still overall a good read just not going into my reread pile.

Two of her romantic interest basically raped her.

The first one manipulates her emotionally to the point of vulnerability and have sex with her, witch is call emotional abuse and rape.

The second one is an incubus, and she didn't know what he was. She is so desperate, the sex scene with him has a very different pace, and both the guys, Will and Sura, take advantage of the situation and film. She wasn't even in speaking terms with them that morning, suddenly she is in a sex frenzy. Gang Rape!!!!!

We are in a wonderful era of awareness, where we are starting to understand all forms of abuse. Is far more easy to find a book with a MC that hunt and kill her abusers then this.

It's very scary when you think a person don't understand this level of violence, and treat as normal. At first i felt pity for this author. It is possible that if Cate Corvin ever experienced something like that, would she dismiss as a petty bully? In reality this is a jail case, that is what her heroes deserve, they are RAPERS.

The reason Will raped her twice, is because of something other person did. His dad hide his mother photo.... what? Is him a ridiculous child? Even the children i know would never be this tiny.

But than i thought maybe Corvin, have her values off, maybe she will be as violent in her Tory revenge as she was with their crime, but no. Tory beat Will grades, and it is supposed to be super cruel, and she gets closer with his dad who is a psychopath. Meaning she only gets in a even more abusive situation.

How this book got published? It dismiss sexual misconduct as bully. I also realize people really think the humiliation true bully can bring as nothing serious. When you are relentlessly targeted to
the point of depression or suicide, such is the degradation, it is not bad enough.

Corvin decided to rape her character to make more painful, recorded her gang rape and send to all social circles in this book. Tory gets slut-shamed for been raped, people calls "her little scandal" and saying is her fault. This behave is unanimous.

Even Tory don't realize she was raped, or that the drug they feed her could have lead her to more rape. Her revenge to all people involved is ridiculous. Only one girl end up dead for one very little offence, i mean it was a big offence but not enough to warrant death, and it was a girl.

Corvin hates woman, she has internalized misoginism. She kills and raped her girls and allow her boys to be rapers and forgive them, they are tiny, petty, who can become monsters for ridiculous reasons and are punished with no desert, and even redeem themselves. The heroes of her history.

I am so sorry for all of you, who read and liked, for your ignorance. I truly hope none of you are living an abuse that you does not consciously perceive. Even when you don't, your body and mind suffer, the damage is there. Be ignorant just make you unable to seek solution, it only enslaves you.

I didn’t feel like the groveling was actually good or bad so much as what the boys did to her in book one that was absolutely unforgivable.

If that makes sense? I mean, if what they had done to the fmc was petty then simping over her would have been cool ig. But it didn’t work bc the level of bullying was disgusting.

The ending of this series was decent. There were some plot holes. Not sure if she is keeping those for further books w side characters? But the bad guys or girls who hurt the fmc are all taken care of.

But I just had issues w the sudden character change that Will and Sura went thru after book 1 into Book 2. It was odd to me. Making them simp over her after what they did in book one?

Why even do it at all??

Did they never stop to think, wow releasing a sex tape of my lover while she sucks me off and then having her enemies beat the shit out of her at a dance while we dose her w a shot of incubus venom so she can fuck whomever she runs into for the world to see, never caring if she lives or dies based off of petty grievances is actually really a shit thing to do. This….is too low to put onto a love interest character. This author and JR Thorne love to hurt their fmcs via their love interests. Guess I am sick of that too.

The rest of the series as I read Sura or Will, I just wanted the author to kill them both off. She succeeded in making them disgusting pathetic simps.

I guess I am truly tired of bully romances bc it romanticizes men being deeply cruel to the women who love them (or like them or hate them) and then somehow they change and love is forgiving. Bullshit.

No. This is not ok. This is not normal. And yes this is fiction but authors need to know where to draw the lines. Period. They are in control of what they release. Not us. This was disgusting to me and def stole my joy reading the rest.

The back and forth of book one was jarring at times. Will would just be reminded if something about the fmc and then BAM revenge is back on.

They groveled but not enough tbh and they also just changed their entire personalities in book 2 and 3. And while I am glad the fmc wasn’t with alpha holes I felt like that final round of bullying in book one made both Will and Sura unredeemable men.

The author tried her best but no, they did not deserve the fmc at the end.

The plot was actually interesting. But I wish this had just been MF or a new harem. Will and Sura can suck donkey balls.

The sisters and Cael were my favorites. The series can do so the other two dickheads.

Damnnnn Vampire Tori is more awesome even than slayer Tori if that’s even possible hahaha , her bloodsingers ? Plural ? PURRRRFECT. OMG Tori made Will blush ? Are you kidding me ? I’m laughing so hard right now hahaha now that Suraziel is free and his loved ones know his secret he is so much funny , I’m loving his real demonic personality.

“Càel and Will wearing Hawaiian shirts.
“He made us get matching shirts,” Will said in a dead voice.
“Like it?” Càel asked, holding out his arms. His shirt was aquamarine and splashed with bright yellow flowers. Will had been stuffed in a pink and green shirt. I stared at them incredulously.
“We got palm trees for the incubus.” Càel held up an extra shirt.”

OMG I’m dying hahahaha I think Càel is all happy about having “brothers” now hahaha I can’t believe it I’m seriously laughing so hard right now .

Damn hahaha Arko is such a funny demon , and Ophiel? Woah what a presence uh ? For bloodthirsty Belial sakes !!! That battle ? Iin Libra academy?? OMG was soooo cool!!!

Did I ever tell you guys how much I love Kelpies ? Well they are absolutely my favorite kind of fae hahaha I’m a horse girl and has something more cool than a aquatic carnivorous horse ? Hahaha they are incredible fantastic!!!

Ok I’m fu*king curious ...will be a book about the next Paladin ? She will have the hots for Ophiel ? And Arko too ??? Right ? Hahahah damn me I’m creating a lot of expectations...

Ok ok that was a good end ...not the better but a good anyways ...and we didn’t had one bit of M/M action yeah what a waste with a incubus in the harem uh ? But It shouldn’t be news the other series of this author we didn’t had either...well like I said before what a waste ...

In this series I could see a unbalanced harem again ...well I hate these things because we had one guy that was obviously more high than the others ... yeah I’m speaking about my sweetheart Càel , the guy was perfect so perfect we almost didn’t needed the others , almost being the keyword... Suraziel and Will ? Well I think the author put everything in Càel all the important moments and the decisions and how was always he that was there to her ... Sura and Will they was more like just there and all not really necessary but not really unnecessary either and they has such a strong bond and we didn’t even had M/M action ? Yeah unbelievable!! This is a RH for gods sake .

Rating: 4 ⭐

So, the final book. Overall I enjoyed this series, but some things about it were disappointing.

Even though I feel like the author ended up redeeming the two bully MLs as characters, I never did warm up to them. They were there, and they were useful to the story, but I never liked them with the MC. And not vibing with 2/3 of the men in a RH story is definitely a downer.

I also feel like sometimes the story had too much going on at once, to the point that a few times I had to pause reading to try and remember a character or plot thread amidst all of the action, fighting, and location hopping.

Ultimately I finished this series because of how much I liked the MC, Tori, and vampire best boi Cael. Their relationship completely overshadowed the other two ML, and I found myself looking forward to getting back to their page time together whenever she was with either of the other two MLs.

Good somewhat..spoilers.

I enjoyed the storyline and I liked how the mc was tough. Out of the mc men, the vampire was my favorite. The only thing that I couldn't get past was the brutality of how the step brother and the demon treatment of the mc. The sex tape scandal, drugging the mc, and to having other females beat her up were too brutal of a bully treatment that I ended up losing interest on the series and didn't care for the mc to be with either bullies.

The reason for the step brother bullying the mc was pretty weak too. Another thing, there were too many plots going on to the story too. The enemies to lover, to dirty step dad, to being part of a vampire sisterhood, having a demon Prince and vampire King as enemies just didn't work for me. Good writing though with showing of characters emotions.

Ready, Set, GO

This last book definitely packed a punch. So much revelations and obstacles to go through for their HEA. This final book had a very satisfying feel to it. The ending didn’t feel rushed, but was pushed along due to moving chess pieces and time was not in their favor. The only gripe I had was the Morigna. For such legendary beings, their powers didn’t really show much at all. I mean I get that there were a lot of action and movements everywhere and it’s hard to keep track of everyone, but even just a little show of power was all I was looking for to solidify the legends and stories about them. Regardless though, the story still moved along smoothly, the baddies were easy to dislike and the good guys easily relatable with their flaws. Definitely good reads.

Dishing out revenge to settle the score

There was a lot going on in this book, secrets unravelling and enemies switching sides, Victoria exacting revenge on her classmates who tormented her yet she forgave others. Alliances were made and dark ugly truths came out showing people's true colours. I would have like to learn more about the Clouded Court, its history when Eluned ruled as Queen. There is no real mention of the other courts although they are mentioned in passing. A few of the slayers like Beatrice got what they deserved. Loved the pixies and the Barbie dream house with all her Ken Dolls, so funny. I was definitely team Cael all the way. Glad Victoria got the life she deserved in the end.

I really enjoyed this series. It's nice to see a romance series that has a good story to back it and it's not all sex (though there are plenty of steamy scenes).

This series was ok. I liked that our MC didn’t just easily forgive and forget everything that happened to her, and I like her personal development as a character. However, I think that the fact that this is a fantasy novel means that the “sex tape” was treated as almost trivial in comparison to all the other life-and-death and eternity-level stuff that’s happening rather than having her deal with the trauma of abuse (revenge porn, being drugged and almost raped by strangers, and what still counts as non-consensual sex). I’m getting a little tired of books acting like enthusiastic consent and safe sex is too boring to include. I’ve much preferred Corvin’s other books.

Okay I loved this series it was SOOOO GOOD! If you want groveling & great epic revenge this is the series for you! I love love loved how this Bully Romance wasn’t easy. I loved that the author didn’t just kiss & make up. Tori was a bad ash through and through! Cael was my instant love of this book right next to Sura. Will was also kinda cool I understood where he came from. I’m glad she made them GROVEL though. I highly recommend giving this a read. It’s not your typical bully romance which makes it that much better. Thank you for a wonderful world to envelop myself in & for creating such an excellent read.

Truly enjoyed

This book was so much better than the first two—Tori finally felt like a character I could root for. She grew up a bit, made fewer impulsive decisions, and honestly? I liked her a lot more this time around.
The story came together in a way that felt really satisfying, and I was happy to see how the relationships evolved. The chemistry between Tori and the guys hit just right. I do wish the angel had ended up as a mate—he totally had that energy! But hey, a girl can dream.
Overall, this book pulled me back in and reminded me why I stuck with the series. Definitely a solid finish.

DNF 4%

Note to self: the second book started out well & I was glad I kept reading past book one (even though I almost DNF). But then it felt disjointed & I didn’t like her feelings for Sura since she was so anti-demon (because of her brother’s death) and her automatic acceptance of Sura felt too fast - I get that her relationship with Cael made her view underworlders in a new light, but I feel like she was too trusting when it came to being around Sura. She should be weary and NOT kiss him, especially after the saliva dosing incident. But, nope. She does & then they have sex in the shed. 🙄 So, there might be more groveling for Sura planned in book three, but I’m over it at this point.

I seriously loved this series. I was skeptical after the first book because most bully romances don’t have enough groveling to satisfy me, but this one was awesome. The storyline was interesting and the pace was pretty good. There was no world building though...just sort of explained the different species as it went along. I don’t know if I am missing a related series or book that explains it or not. Either way, I would still love this. Told from all POV. Cael is definitely my new book boyfriend.

A Deserved Ending

Well that was well worth the wait and read.

Hesitant to continue to book 2 after a brutal ending to book 1 and another massive cliffhanger at the end of book 2 which left me with a solid “what the hell?!’ And an urgency to continue to book 3.

So glad i continued because wow! That was epic!

I’m not giving any spoilers here but can highly recommend all 3 books despite my misgivings after book 1. Continue to the end for a thorough HEA!

Now for the spinoff ☺️

Not sure when I read this, but apparently I did according to my Kindle 😂
I will rate it if I reread it.... which is quite possible since the plot is right up my alley and I seem to have flown through all three books.

And not remembering anything about it, does not mean anything in my case: I love to read for vibes, my brain completely shut off.... which means I often forget about books I read or the content. Which in my case is GREAT because it means I can reread my favorites again and again without getting bored!

Brilliant series.

The Bonds of Blood series drew me in from the very beginning of book 1. As this is the first series I have read of Cate Corvins, I am really looking forward to reading more. As I felt there were a couple of things left unfinished by the end of book 3, I am really hoping Cate uses those storylines for future books. I highly recommend reading this series. It is one of the best I have read in quite sometime. So Im off to find more from Cate Corvin.

The end of a truly epic trilogy

I absolutely loved this trilogy. It had everything I absolutely adore about this genre: a kick ass mc; 3 strong, sexy, unbreakable men; absolutely brilliant secondary characters; a thrilling plot; evil bastards to vanquish; and tonnes of both humour and the feels in a big way - loads of laugh out loud moments and a few tears shed too. I highly highly recommend this series.
