Knight Sir Louis, champion knight at Castle Sideways, has been sent on another important mission – he must face the dastardly, double-headed dragon, Borax! And his mission isn't made any easier with the tricksy jester Merry-Jingles trying to steal his thunder. Things are about to get hot, then hotter, then boiling ...
Luckily, Louis has great friends who can help - a flying robot horse, Clunkalot, an adventurous boar called Catalogue, and Pearlin, the brilliant wizentor. That's bound to help, right?
The second adventure in the hilarious series about Knight Sir Louis, including lots of different storytelling, fabulous comic strip illustrations and lots and lots of jokes! ______________
‘I love this book SO much! Mr Gum levels of weird and brilliant’ – Jo Nadin
I was so excited when I saw the newest book by The Brothers McLeod, the second book in the Knight Sir Louis series! And this time we got dragons (very dangerous dragons who have some evil evil plans, eviler than most dragons want to be), a joker who wants to be more, a queen with silly ideas (a certain word in Dutch pops up in my mind), tons of adventure, cute baby eggs (I just loved that the scientist girl named them Mac 'n Cheese, so fitting and cute), there are spectators and their comments (I just loved this addition again), there are songs and fourth-walls-being broken, an exciting last battle, new inventions, and there is never a dull moment just tons and tons of hilarious situations that make your belly hurt! I just loved the story and I cannot wait what is next for Knight Sir Louis!
You can’t go wrong with having a lot of dragons in a book, in my opinion. This is another wonderful book from the Brothers McLeod. I enjoyed this one just as much as the first and I cannot wait to read the third one now that it’s out. Fun for all the family, even if you don’t have kids.
Having read the first one, I had to read the second, which I enjoyed even more, with its page switching options and baby dragons. Evil dragons, mechanical horses and compassionate wizards, plus a tale of a confused knight jester learning the benefits of kindness and community. All with yet more perfect illustrations.
This madcap sequel to the first madcap Knight Sir Louis book is equally as funny, random, bonkers and hilarious. It was once again a pleasure to join Louis and his weird and wonderful collection of friends and foes on another adventure to stop the evil two-headed dragon, Borax.
