I have been writing songs, poetry, and short stories since I was a young girl, but started writing children’s books after the birth of my first daughter, who inspired my book, E is for Elephant. After publishing my book, I founded PublishSmart Academy to help other aspiring children’s book authors through the self-publishing process, and it has been so rewarding to see others turn a dream that they have had for years into a reality!
I am Minnesota born and raised, but it turns out eight months of snow isn’t for me, so I now live in Texas with my husband, two daughters, and our high-maintenance cat that my husband refuses to claim. When I am not writing, I enjoy traveling the world, spending time with my family, painting, and obsessing over true-crime podcasts.

This alphabet book is good for toddlers and preschoolers. It assigns an animal with a name that aligns to each letter of the alphabet, making it easy for children to learn letter sounds and discover new animals. The rhyming pattern of the pages adds a fun element to the book. For example: “K is for Kylie the koala, snoring in a tree. L is for Larry the lion, pouncing happily.”
The illustrations are brightly colored and are not overdone. There are some interesting details such as soil spilling from a plant that was tipped over and dust being kicked up by Ollie the ostrich running by. The simplicity of the book makes it easy for parents and caregivers to read aloud and interact with children, which can enhance their learning experience in a fun and engaging way that is tailored to their developmental stage. I would recommend this book, as it’s enjoyable and educational.

There are many alphabet picture books on the market today - some good, some not so.
I would place E IS FOR ELEPHANT in the first category.
Children can master the alphabet while following the colourful illustrations and the memorable rhymes.
The words in the book are well-chosen and the images are stylized creatively.
Reading the book while viewing the images can have a positive effect on your child's mind as children get to know the letters, the images, and the animal colours.
The large and simple initial letters are like cookie cutters - I am sure children can easily recognize and learn them. The big letters can be traced and cut out from paper - an additional learning 'trick' that can excite the little ones.

This colorful alphabet children's book is about the alphabet. Each letter has it's own page and colorful picture of the large size letter along with the animal it stands for.
I really like the not so common animals found in this book. Not only is the book teaching the alphabet but animals also. Great idea.

The illustrations are gorgeous with bright inviting colours and the animals used for each letter are a mix of common and rare animals. So if you’re looking for a book to teach your children the alphabet, then this is a must read!

This is a cleverly written rhyme to teach the alphabet. Each of the thirteen rhyming couplets covers two letters by naming two different animals. The illustrations are bold and bright. This is an intelligently constructed teaching tool for early years' learners. I received a free copy of this book for review.

This is the cutest, most adorable picture book devoted the teaching letters and basic reading that I've seen in ages. I read it and if I still had little ones, I'd add it this title to their library in a second.

Cute and quirky are two words to describe this book. A fun and delightful way for a kid to learn. The illustrations were quirky and fun. Reading this cute little book would be a delight for any child. It would leave them smiling and wanting more.

This is a lovely book that has a name for each animal - same letter. I think this detail makes this alphabet book pretty unique.
The illustrations are bright and colorful, easily captivating children's attention.
