Full disclosure: I have two poems in this anthology. Edited by Oakland, California poets Sara Biel and Karla Brundage of the very small Colossus Press, this anthology's subtitle reads "An Anthology of Lives in and Out of Place." The 190-page anthology contains work by many writers from the San Francisco Bay Area and elsewhere. All profits from its sale go to benefit Moms 4 Housing, an Oakland, California collective of homeless and marginally housed women.

This is one of the anthologies I'm proudest to have contributed to. My favorite piece in it is a long, innovative poem by Daphne Gottlieb, but there's so much fine work in the book. It amounts to a sampler of many of my favorite Bay Area poets and writers.
