The Christmas Comes to Dickens Romance Anthology
Welcome to Dickens--a quaint New England town bustling with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming Christmas holiday. We have the annual tree lighting in the town square, a snowman building competition, ice skating on Grosvenor's Pond, and horse-drawn sleigh rides. You're welcome to cut down your own Christmas tree at Gridley Meadows or join in the caroling on the Common. Dickens offers an abundance of heartfelt wishes, a few much needed miracles, and--quite possibly--a touch of magic! Families reunite, new friends are made, and old flames take a second chance at happiness. All while celebrating this most joyful time of the year.
Nancy Fraser has been writing since she was a child, most often on walls and with crayons or (heaven forbid) permanent marker.
Since first becoming published in 1996, Nancy has received numerous five star reviews for her futuristic, time travel romance.
She’s also published in short contemporary, historical romance and is contracted for a series of ten vintage historical romances set during the Golden Decade of Rock & Roll (1955-1964).
When not writing fiction, Nancy likes to spend time with her five wonderful grandchildren.
Cookies look and sound delicious and so do the Christmas Stories to come
The Christmas cookies look appetizing and I swear I can almost smell them. The stories that are still to come sound just as delicious. Can't wait to read them all.
Snowflake Clusters, Santa's Shortbread, Pecan Meltaways, Swedish Snowballs....just a few of the recipes you will find in this book. A few of the recipes are already familiar to me but others are on my "to do" list:) I thank all the authors for sharing their favourite Christmas recipes with us readers!!
So many to chose from,I guess I will have to try them all! Many are already family favorites, some are a little different than I grew up with. It brings back wonderful memories especially of making peanut butter balls with my grandmother, it was one of her favorites! Thanks for these awesome recipes!

There’s an interesting collection of cookies but not anything really special or unusual. The various authors add a few personal words about why they selected this particular cookie and suggestions for enhancing either the recipe or presentation.
A cute idea for a few cookie recipes but very limited reading info. You’ll need the anthology to enjoy any of the Dickensian joy these stories might hold📚
Yes, it is a cookie cookbook, but its also a preview of the authors' stories and pictures of the cookies, so you know yours look like they're supposed to look (I hate it when there are no pics with a recipe).
But what made this surprising and amazing is that I grew up with my mother and grandmother making ALL of these cookies, and most of these, I'd lost the recipes for. The very first recipe wowed me and it continued to the end! Kudos to the author for thinking about how to take luscious recipes for popular cookies and intertwine them with her books. Congratulations! This is a great read and I could bake and read at the same time.
It's a Dickens of a Cookie - Cookie recipes from a variety of romance writers along with an introduction to their books set in Dickens. I like Liz Flaherty and Lucinda Race, two authors included in the group. Most of the recipes are good, many old timey or traditional.
No reflection on the recipes that use this idiotic word: Why did the world accept the word 'incorporate' to replace the long time used word 'mix' in recipes? It still freaks me out and it's probably 30-years in use now. 4*
This is a companion cookie recipe book to Dickens Holiday Romance Books, featuring a number of best-selling romance writers as contributors. As simple as they are, Nancy Fraser`s Santa`s Shortbread is so easy to make and is always gone first at the Cookie Exchange. Bonnie Edwards` Chocolate Chunk Snowballs, however, are the Christmas gift I give to myself, and don`t share with anyone outside immediate family – they`re that decadent and yummy!
Whether you have read any books in the series, or even if you would never read a romance novel, this is a great little collection. Two words: Christmas Cookies. Unless you are just Bah Humbug, you will like the little anecdotes and easy, fun cookies.

I was looking for a sugar cookie recipes and accidentally ended up reading the entire book, which contains recipes inspired by or taken from Christmas-themed books. I made the Cowboy cookies at the end, and they came out delicious. Now I want to bake more, and try reading one of the books mentioned in the recipes.
Some never before seen recipes that I can’t wait to try! I love coconut and there’s some really festive recipes that will quickly become classics! Can’t wait to start baking!
So many different cookies to make and enjoy in this book. Worth grabbing up this gem if your looking for easy recipies to follow. Which is something i love ton of recipies easy to use.
Though not all are what I’d consider Christmas cookies. Some are just regular - chocolate chip, oatmeal, etc. I guess for me Christmas cookies are more unusual, not the cookies you bake every week.
This book is as the title said a companion cookie recipe book that follows the Christmas comes to Dickens Romance Anthology. I will say looking through the recipes, I plan to make a few of these soon. The recipes look easy and delicious. I'm glad the authors put this together! Thank you!
It’s A Dickens of a Cookie by Nancy Fraser et al. – It’s a freebie holiday cookie book to follow along with various novels, so it’s a win in my book. Some of these sound really yummy! Happy Reading and Baking!
I ear-marked about 5 of the cookie recipes I would like to try. Authors from an anthology submitted a recipe for this book, as well as a brief auto biography and a blurb about what their book in the anthology was about.
This book has a lot of good holiday baking recipes. And some good books and book series is to go along as well. I liked how they gave you a recipe for each author, and then described a book associated with the author and about the author's background.
