Abducted and sent to a cold, grim alien prison, Ashley isn't prepared for the harsh realities she's forced to face. She's also not prepared for the tortured gladiator named Vyce to whom she's given.
With a hatred of small spaces and full of a nearly uncontainable energy, there are two things that can take Vyce's mind off his torment.
Singing, and sex. And Ashley can't sing worth a damn.
*This book contains themes that may trigger some individuals. *This is the THIRD book in this series. Books are best read in order. 1. TARIK 2. RAATH 3. VYCE
Madison Savage writes science fiction romance with a darker side. When she's not writing, she's reading, playing videogames, or feeding the various wildlife that gathers on her porch for a tasty treat.
Every couple is different and great in its own way. Ash and Vyce were great together, she was sensitive to everyone with a beautiful “yes to that, but not the way I am” in herself that’s awesome. And the big brut tormented within himself had more soft spots imaginable but like the other gladiators a bit to silent. Some words of background or a chapter with his point of view would be great and could help the reader to connect more with the characters, the world and story. Overall a great, interesting read, captivating and thrilling for the question: is there a silver stripe on the horizon for Aelix and maybe a HEA for him? And of course: What comes next?
ANOTHER ENTERTAINING EDITION TO THE GLADIATORS OF SIKODA SERIES!
Believe it or not, I read this series backwards, so the answer is yes. You can read this as a standalone, and still enjoy it but the full effect only hits you when you start from Tarik's story.
VYCE is another tortured gladiator serving his time until the 10th year when he can finally be free. If you've read the others, then this story pretty much serves on the same plot line. If you're reading all 3 books, one shot, you'll either love it or hate it for being repetitive. Anyway, Vyce's character doesn't shine compared to the heroine, he seems to fade in the background and is just there for the sex + violence. LOL. I know, but it's the honest truth. Sometimes I wished he had talked more, gave more of his feelings away...what's going on inside his mind...you know all those usual things that women like to hear about.
ASHLEY is a feisty one compared to Jessica. I hate the fact that the human females who get sent to the arena to become the gladiators' sex toy are forced to shave their heads. Sorry, but I love the whole feminine long hair aspect BUT luckily I was interested enough to let it slide. Ashley's more of a speak before she thinks kind of girl, and without filters. You can imagine the amount of trouble she'll get with that attitude. She adapted easily to her new situation well enough, accepting Vyce so easily you'd have to wonder where's the fun in all that? Yet, it was cute and in that hell hole, everyone needs a little love, touch and care to maintain their sanity.
OVERALL this was an easy to read sci-fi alien romance, another average addition to the series. Here's to hoping if there's a next one...the characters will be more stimulating in conversation, thoughts and actions.
Ashley is a fighter but only for those she feels need protecting. Vyce is a bad butt gladiator but even the strongest need love. Can they, along with Yhorik survive Kavath and Sikoda? Enquiring minds want to know....does Aelix get his own book? Great series!
I think this is meant to be the end of the series. Although I read on her website she was writings book for Aelix. Which I was really hoping for until I got to the end.
So this is about Vyce who is claustrophobic and Ashley who is sensitive to what other people are feeling. She could actually hear the pent up rage in Vyce when she first met him. I was a little disappointed that nothing really came of that. She heard it, then she learned how to block it. I thought there was going to be more to it, a reason she could hear him.
I really enjoyed this series and I really hope to read Aelix’s book if she finishes it.

FAVORITE QUOTES
“You are hot.”
He frowns. “My body is hot?”
I bite my lip to keep from smiling. “Oh yeah.”
He shifts his body away from me and lifts his head. “Yhorik, can we bring down my temperature? I am burning her.”
I truly enjoyed this romantic Alien adventure series . Madison ingeniously takes what normally would be unlikable characters and turns them into heroes and heroins with hearts filled empathy, compassion , hope , courage and love. Thank You MS 👏
Best part had to be when he asks her to sing and then basically tells her never to do it again. Ha! As a warning, abuse towards the h does happen, but out of all the H characters so far, Vyce has been the best. Madison has left me wanting even more, and leaves me hoping Aelix will receive a story... turns out he isn't as evil as we first thought!
Dark alien PNR- highly recommend for mature readers not offended by the subject matter
Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence such as kidnapping / abduction, fighting, torture, rape, assault, death, etc.
This is the third book in the series and it begins about a year after the second. While it may be able to be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc.
Those that commit serious crime are given a chance to serve their sentences, or have it reduced to 10 years if they agree to be a gladiator fighting for the wardens. Unfortunately there is one, Kaveth that is losing his sanity and covets the human females that have bonded with some of the gladiators. He has now lost two of the ones that he wanted the most and it causing him to become even more unhinged,
Vyce has only been at the prison for a little over the year, but he is not doing well. He has a dark restlessness in him that makes him the new fan favorite but the wardens are afraid that he is not going to make it without bonding to a female. They bring out his fearlessness by confining him in a small metal box before his fights, but that is not as effective as giving him something to protect.
The hand of destiny is mysterious and far reaching.
An intriguing front cover and a interesting synopsis lead to a new author well worth reading. Actually since I prefer to read a series in sequence, I read Tarik then Raath before this one . The characters, plot and story movement were so well written that housework was back-shelved for 2 days while I read the 3 books. Just saying you might be wise to figure in crock pot or pot roast type dinners so your family gets fed. I found it very hard to stop reading as I was so into the story(s). I am sure most of you will enjoy them as much as I did...I know some people might not but hey their right and choice ..nothing is 100% in this world.
Twists and turns. Very violent, but frankly more apt to be so if humans were abducted and treated as a commodity.
I read a few reviews of book before downloading. and do not understand why people do not understand what happen to Jen, others. It is explained in epilogue.
Do wish there was more afterwords of their futures. With possible children (do not think it was permanent treatment to cause no pregnancy to humans, females.)
SPOILER. Was disappointed with the scene at end of stadium. Should have been longer. What was up with the warden being alive? With invaders “army” coming in, why the heck did they not kill them all and just leave audience and those they were rescuing alive?
Vyce is a gladiator that has the unfortunate problem with small places and unending energy inside of him at all times. He is a perfect male for the wardens to use his problems against him. Until they see they may have gone to far and need to offer him a female. In enters Ashley. She is the red haired sass that isn’t good for this place but the right sass for Vyce. They have a hell of a time with both their issues😘 and give the sick f*ck aka that warden (we all want to get rid of) his die justice.
Ashley is another human brought to Sikoda to mate with a gladiator. As in the previous books of this series, there's an immediate attraction. Throw in a crazy, deviant warden, aliens who want to kill the gladiator, Yhorik the caregiver, and a supporting cast, you pretty much have a repeat of the first 2 books. The only difference and the reason for 5 stars is this series is wrapped up with a big bow on top....and they lived happily ever after.
This book moved much quicker than the first two and Ashley was something special with her hard-core fierceness and almost empathic connected with Vyce. Great story once again. Glad I found this collection. I am still curious about what happened with Jen and Alex. Was she secretly a dom? I guess we won't ever know since she took her secret with her. Very entertaining series. Thank you for sharing your writing.
This was a great addition to the series. The author took a different approach with this book, but in a good way. I like how she really embraced the mental health issues of these gladiators. I would love more books to this series. I loved Ashley's character - she had her spunk to her!
Wait this is it? This series ended wayyyy to early. What about yhorik and Aelix? (ง'̀-'́)ง
Ughhh besides that disappointment, the book was pretty solid. I think I liked this one the best out of all three in the series. Ashley was my favorite protag and I was surprised it like vyce. Overall, pretty decent series! Will probably check out more from this author.
Good ending to the series. I wish it could have been a lot more, as it seemed to end rather fast in each book. It really could have added so much more and went much farther with the characters.
Firstly I have to say that this series is not my type but these books are so well and smoothly written that they are worth reading just for the writing. Thank you Madison for such well written books. Chewie
I'm glad most of the loose ends were all tied up with this book. I loved the emotions of all the characters in all three of these books: Tarik, Raath and Vyce. You can read them alone, but it's best to read them in order to get the most out of them. Great job Madison.
I wasn’t certain I would ever read another romance again. I stumbled quite accidentally upon this series and I have throughly enjoyed all three books. I would highly recommend.
Loved this book and hope this series isn't finished ...
I just really like the easy flowing writing style of this author and the kick ass, strong women with their sexy alien mates. I really hope the author will consider continuing this series in some way.
I like this series of books and the troupe of forced gladiator with a human female. The lead female in this book was so empathetic that she would try to save others up to her own demise. There is a beautiful reunion at the end. Read On!
A reoccurring horrible bad guy warden and bloodthirsty fights for the overburdened gladiators. Ashley is thrown into this horror filled world with Vyce.
