If they thought death would stop her, they should have known better.

Trouble has risen from the ashes, and she’s ready to make her enemies pay, starting with her sadistic sister Harmony, who has Jules captive.

But with both the Yeoman Warden and psychotic Doctor Bloom out for blood, Trouble will have to face threats closer to home before she can deal with her sister. Time is ticking, and Trouble has no choice but to plan—and pull off—a prison break before her enemies strike, but with a baby raven in danger, a serious rift among her mates, and an obsessive cult to navigate, prison life just got harder than ever.

Luckily she has a dragon, a firefox, a raven shifter, a witch, and a mate on the outside to help her.

Ok. I’m glad I came back to this series. That was a pretty fun cliffhanger. (Damn. What is with me lately? Praising cliffhangers?!*shudders* Blasphemy…)

Anyway.
There’s a lot to do in the last book.
Smut, lives in the balance, sororicide…smut(yes it deserves to be mentioned twice), psychopaths to bond with…there’s a lot.
🤞🏻🤞🏻 fingers crossed we get a good HEA.

DNF @76% I can't even with this series. I tried to stick it out but the plot holes really bug me. Why would it make sense for Julian to get himself thrown in prison when he could have been safe meeting up with Jase? Not only that but he was placed in fire block.....the same area that was taken over and barricaded. How did he get in? If the bad guys were able to send another inmate in they could have just gone in and taken the area back. It doesn't make sense at all. None of this does. There are opportunities for character growth but instead of that, there are just random torture sessions, and ill-timed sex scenes.

I tried to read this series but I got to the part where Ravenmaster is blaming his mate instead of the bad guy for knowing his daughter's name and that just really was the last straw. I'm surprised I stuck it out this long tbh.

Whoo, after the ending of the last book, I started this one already on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what Trouble would do to Harmony to save her Adonis, and I wasn't disappointed. I love the fact that there are multiple villains in this series, Harmony just being one of three that keep popping up to ruin our characters' plans. Each one has their own agenda but they all somehow connect to one another in a way. The little surprises that were revealed in this book with the villains as well as Trouble's powers were so well done, unexpected, and thrilling. There was so much action, but not too much where you'd be overwhelmed or unable to keep track of the storyline, and there were still emotion provoking scenes as well as the hot and heavy stuff that this series is full of. I do have to say that I'm looking forward to Trouble connecting more with Ravenmaster and Jase in the next book. She already has such a great connection with her other three guys, but I feel that these two in particular will be explosive. We already got a little taste of Ravenmaster in this book, but I know it will be that much better once he actually accepts Trouble as his mate and not just the idea of a mate. The next steps in this group's journey are going to be tough with Harmony and Bloom still on the prowl. One down, two to go. Here's to hoping that they don't decide to tag team their mutual hatred and that Trouble's men will all be on the same page to be able to concentrate on the battle ahead of them. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Good grief this book was just non-stop, fast-paced action from start to finish. Its definitely a hold on and enjoy the ride kind of read. Trouble (FMC) lives up to her name and she gets into plenty of that in this book. Trouble and her mates have 3 bad guys to contend with in book 3 - Yeoman Warden, Doctor Bloom and Harmony (her sister). As with the other books the steam levels are off the charts. Except Trouble finally gets her hands on The Ravenmaster and its not exactly a subtle seduction. Its more like a clash of two people. Personalities, hate, attraction, pain and pleasure......you name it!!! Talk about hot!! I loved Jules & Jase that got more book time in this one. I really liked them both and i cant wait to read more about them. That cliffhanger ending was just killer! Im enjoying this series so much. Its a brilliant read

Bold, busy and explosive, this sequel brings life back to the series.
With more POV shifts and action happening, this book was a fluid mess of angst and pain. The Ravenmaster character, whilst getting some more attention and context, still hits flat for what he promises. Jasiel finally gets some more focus, and thankfully brings some energy into the character nest. Az dulls a whole lot into a backdrop moody type, while the others all settle into the extra category for me. As a whole, the harem is clumsy. However, given how we're still a book from completing the series, I'm happy that it's not an instant click type.
The plot developments are great, but I wish the world building was a bit more steady. Despite that, the pacing and writing in this book are mostly consistent and encouragingly well done. I'm really curious to see where it goes from here.

Fortress of Flame: A Paranormal Prison Fated Mates Romance (Blacktower Prison for Supernaturals Book 3) by Leigh Kelsey is a story that my mind shouts OMG MORE !!!!!! This is book number three in this fantastic series that just keeps getting better. I am sitting on the edge of my chair waiting to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters, prison and paranormal romance.

I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

In this book we get to see what trouble Trouble gets in to. I had to do it. In this book trouble and her mates go against alot of her enemies and no one leaves it unscathed. Their bond and their minds are challenged throughout the book. Trouble also gets closer to all her mates and even gains a cult. I have to say I think Jase is my favorite. He's just so freaking cute with his cats.

People are messing with Trouble's mind and her mates and they have no idea what is headed their way

I really thought I was going to get a happy ending and then boom cliff hanger!!! You’re a monster, a vile creature... not really but I’m emotional currently! Ugh I’m in love with you but I hate you I guess you could say you and I are Ravenmaster and Trouble. Hehe! Action, action and more action! Fights, cults, death, torture, and intimate times make for a fast and nerve wracking read! I need more!!!!

Fortress of Flame, the third book in the Blacktower Prison series, is an ebook I downloaded from Kindle Unlimited. I recommend reading the series in order. There seems to be so much abuse and trauma in the series. I had hopes there would be more relationship development, but it's almost like "how much can the characters take?" I've enjoyed the storyline, but I found myself overwhelmed by the violence that stretched over the last two stories.

The plot thickens with this one!

Trouble and her guys are in hot water with this one. They've taken over fire block and ravenmaster and trouble finally get it on and have hate sex.

Plot was good, we learned more about the characters, we saw Harmony, Warden and Bloom in this which was weird seeing all three big bads but it worked. The reveals were interesting if not a little predictable. Overall, enjoyable.

I almost stopped reading multiple times, but not because the book is badly written. The series has gotten significantly darker, which made it difficult for me personally at times. Additionally, I hoped the backstory of the MMCs had been more developed by now - in many cases just enough is written to give you a sense of their history. Which felt lacking to me in comparison to other four book series - thus the reason for just four stars. Same as the prior books in the series, I strongly encourage heeding the trigger warnings.

This was a fantastic read that I could not put down until the very last page was read. It moves along at a nice speed for reading making for a comfortable read. The characters are incredible and you cannot help but fall in love with them n o matter what happens and the story will keep you reading till the end. This book has to be read, you will not be sorry that you did.

WTF!!! 😳

OMG this book is fantastic, full of action and angst 😩
Trouble gets more powerful than ever but, will that be enough to finally break free from prison??? 🤔🤨🙈
Prepare yourself for an unputdownable installment, with unexpected and shocking twists and turns and sexy hot scenes, even with the cold Ravenmaster, wow!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This is a must read series, 💯 recommended!!! 😍❤️

Fortress of Flame

OMG Don't....I'm traumatised. Poor Trouble and her guys. I was on so many tenterhooks I think I can feel them when I walk.

The third part in the Blacktower Prison for Supernaturals. Its NOT a standalone book so if you ended up here first, find book 1. But you won't be sorry. Readying myself for the final book!

DNF 50%. The writing fell off into the lazy overuse of commas so it reads like jerky stage directions instead of a seamless play. This frustration unfortunately wasn’t enough to deflect from the gaping plot holes and strange choices made in order to awkwardly force relationships to build as the only notable progress in the plot.

This was another great book in the series. It has some dark moments just like the last book but some good ones too. I love the fact that you finally meet Jules/Adonis in this one and you end up liking the Ravenmaster more as well. Can’t wait to read the next one!

can’t catch a break

One down and another to go but will it be too late eek?
I’m so relieved this isn’t the end as this series is amazing. I just can’t put it down. I’ve literally left my reality on the shelf while I’m so invested in this one of a kind gem.

Thanks

Sorry but I stopped reading at chapter 17. No particular reason. I guess I either lost interest or I was more interested in a different genre at the time.

It's goof

I'm hoping for more plot. It's a good book. It's a little slow but enjoyable. I will read the 3rd book. I must know how it ends.

The stakes really were higher this go round. I couldn't believe all the trouble that Trouble found herself in. There were some seriously shocking twists and turns, as well as some super hot scenes with her mates. I love the building connections between them all. The last few chapters had me gripping my kindle and that cliffhanger ending left me stunned. This story was lit!
