The explosive conclusion of the Blacktower Prison for Supernaturals series! Blurb contains spoilers—proceed at your own risk.
Trouble and her mates have made it out of Blacktower, but at a steep cost. Ravenmaster weakens everyday, and unless Trouble returns to the prison, her magic will detonate, taking out most of the country with her. But if she does return, she’ll be captive and tortured once more.
The only hope is a lifeline thrown by the gods: a mythical weapon, hidden for centuries, that’s capable of weakening Bloom. Trouble and her mates have no choice but to return to their prison, but they won’t be going back unarmed.
That is, if Trouble can track down the ancient sword, overcome the dark magic guarding it, and survive long enough to use it.
This is Blacktower Prison’s final showdown. Either chaos and pain will reign, or Trouble will be victorious, and leave only ash in her wake.
Blacktower Prison for Supernaturals is a complete magical prison series, with a tough heroine and the sexy shifter mates who vow to keep her safe—not to mention the gravelly voice in Trouble’s head who knows her too well, and the darkly alluring overseer determined to unearth her secrets. This book is medium burn, with moderate heat, and multiple love interests. 90,000 words.

DNF@25% p77/339 Chapter 8(Trouble) Ok. Take 2.🤦 Why does the app always crash when I’m in the middle of writing a very satisfying review, thereby erasing all of it from existence(and memory)?? It’s because it hates me, isn’t it?😑
Any. Way. 🙄 As I was Saying, you dirty hoebag(Goodreads. Not you. I’m sure You’re lovely. You’d never etchasketch my perfectly succinct review, would you? Of course not. ✨Lovely✨ As I said.) Shit. What was I saying?….
Right right. This series has what I’d classify as ‘almost a true enemies-to-lovers’ type relationship in it, and I find that that’s just not something I’m into. It’s like the adult version of bullying to me. It angers me. Greatly. In all the directions. At all the characters. It’s just not a fun time in my opinion. Especially when it’s the last book of the series, the asshole was met in book one, and he’s still acting almost exactly the same. Or sometimes worse when he feels a tiny bit of emotion(oooh ✨scary✨🙄) and hates it. Almost no character development was had by this asshole the whole series so far, and I have Very little hope of enough of it happening in the next 200 some pages to make me feel ok with him being in the group.
Even if it does happen, it’s just not worth it to me to pick it back up now. There’s so little left of the book compared to the very large tasks they need to accomplish.
I’m just tired of it. I need something else in my head. Like. Right now.
Continuing on from book 3, book 4 has Trouble (FMC) and Ravenmaster trying to find a way to save them both. Whilst Ravenmaster tries everything to ignore his growing attraction to Trouble. The last book in this series is much more fast paced with so many plot twists to get the ending id hoped it would get. Ive loved the banter between all the characters throughout this series. Its one of the things i loved the most about them. It made all the books a joy to read. Im sad this is the ending of Troubles books but im curious about what might be coming next in this world. Ill keep an eye out for that. This was a bloody great read
Kelsey ended this series with a bang, a complete cataclysm! If you weren't rooting for these characters in the previous three books, this final book will have you on the edge of your seat as you watch Trouble and her guys battle against the villains we've come to know in the previous books and new ones as well. The list of baddies keeps getting added to and the complexity of how each villain is connected to each other adds to the pyramid of power they have going on. Trouble and her troublemakers are seriously overwhelmed, underestimated, and over-exerted this time around, pushing themselves past their limits and really testing their boundaries with their powers. The baddies are definite powerhouses, but this group together is something else entirely. The gods and their worldly intervention as they use Trouble and Ravenmaster as chess pieces to get the results they want no matter the consequences ends up being pretty annoying, but I'll admit that they chose some strong and adaptable people to make it all happen. The path to the finale was hectic but the progress with all of the characters was well worth it. I think anyone who reads this final book will be fully satisfied with the series and how everything turned out in the end. You get romance, steam, plenty of action, humor, and mystery all jam packed into one amazing ending. Be prepared for some major surprises to come your way while reading as well. This was such a fun book to read!
What an epic ending full of outrageous battles and bloody fight scenes where our main characters and friends fight for not only their lives but the lives of all. Another book of amazing world building, lots of character growth and a fantastically cute puppy dog ending! Ravenmaster my main man choice finally addresses his pasts in turn opening up knew possibilities and powers. Several near death scenes to the rest of the harem including trouble and you have yourself an epic love story with not only internal and relationship like battles to get over and fight but their love makes them all stronger and allows for a sweet, sweet victory even if they are all scarred now. I’m sad tho see this series end but also I think thing was the most perfect ending to the series and anything more would have taken from the series and moments. Thank you for another awesome read Leigh Kelsey!!
Loved this series so much. Trouble, Az, Clairmont, Jules, Ravenmaster and of course Jase. A RH with a Phoenix, a Firefox, 2 Dragons, A Raven Shifter and a Witch.
The series contains twists and turns, snarky attitude, And a whole lot more. I fell in love with the characters and laughed and cried and got extremely protective and enraged for them all. Not a graphicly smutty RH but I guess enough to not not rate it a YA but if I'm honest it almost is.
Only fault is I would have loved an epilogue just to prolong the HEA. Definitely worth a read!!
Some books you read for the plot, other for the characters. This series was definitely for the characters, but I enjoyed the plot too. Trouble and her guys aren't always likeable, but they are relatable. There are a few things I wish had been wrapped up better (like Trouble and Julian having a much needed conversation about their joint trauma) but it was overall a pretty good ending to an enjoyable series. I'll definitely check out more from this author in the future.
Is it just me or when ever you come across an amazing story written by the incredibly talented Leigh Kelsey, you never want the story to end. Like Blacktower prison.
Addicting, binge worthy, your hooked. A FMC with a name that says it all aka Trouble, as soon as you start book 1 and you get her name you just know it’s gonna be interesting and oh it was just that, chaos, mayhem, some very cool, different and one of a kind characters.
Gonna miss Trouble, her men and her story, what an adventure they have hard.
Refuge of Firelight (Blacktower Prison for Supernaturals #4) by Leigh Kelsey is a story that I have had the privilege to read and give my honest review. This is book number four in this fantastically amazing series that I was so hooked on. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters, reverse harem and paranormal romance.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
OMG this action-packed finale had me on edge the whole time, so full of angst, I was biting my nails, dreading something bad was going to happen to Trouble or one of the guys, as their god opponents were really powerful, beyond anything they have faced before, my heart was about to shatter a couple of times!!! 😩😭 Wow, what a way to end this series, so damn good, 💯 recommended!!! 😍 🖤
I nice light read. Adventure and magic, a bit of angst between our main characters. Not tons of deep character development, and the plot is mostly “because the gods need humans to fight other gods”, and that keeps the story light and moving, as we don’t have truly digest a whole new world. We learn what we need, and of course, all ends well. I enjoyed this, and will look for other books by this author.
From the moment that you start reading this book you will be transported to another world in which you cannot return until the last page is read. It moves along at a great pace, has amazing characters that you will fall in love with and a story that will not disappoint. This book needs to be on your TBR list, you will not be sorry that you did.
I 💘 this series but I need the extra book(s)! What does the week, the year, their whole lives look like? I think so much more can be written with all the characters. Was it Haven and the guard, what happened there? As well as all their friends they met and started to care for? Otherwise a well written and thoroughly entertaining series!
This series is amazing. I love all the books, Trouble is a feisty, snarky, funny lead with some sinful men and really awful enemies. There are some gory bits, sexy bits and extremely funny bits. And all laced with a lot of swearing. Read the series, and lose yourself for a while.
A sub-par conclusion for a largely dull series, this novel took me a while to finish. Pacing, plot progression and chemistry all missed the mark, making this a stop-starter. Maybe it's because there was no emotional resonance with any characters for me, but this was almost a DNF. I wouldn't recommend this series.

I loved this series. It was very intriguing and the characters and world were well built, but the story just ended. Her relationship with Julian was not complete, the damage to her other relationships as well as the fast turn around with Ravenmaster were off putting. I’d still read it but I wish it ended better
This was a great ending to the series. All the way through I felt like I was on the edge of my seat because it was so tense. You never expected half the things to happen and I was so glad when I made it to the end and found out what happened. Loved it so much.
Wow what an ending ! Loved how it didn’t go wham bam Thankyou . This book was sooo good I’m glad to finally see the conclusion and know what happens but I’ll miss trouble and her mates, raven master really grew on me in this book. Heaps of action . Highly recommend this series !!
Loved this series so much, yay for axton (raven master) glad he made his dam mind up stubborn bird lol, and I had to giggle at the Kings Lynn part considering I live 20 mins from there myself lol woohoo, can't wait to read a new series now
Underwhelming and a little boring. For a final book I expected more but it slowed down immensely and just focused on the characters rather than the big bad etc.
Entertaining enough but didn't have the right amount of action for me.
I’m glad I finished the series and learned how the Trouble’s story ended, but honestly I won’t reread the series. Some of the scenes were too dark & on the verge of triggering for me personally. However I would recommend the series to others, as long as the triggers are considered.
I really enjoyed this book, but it still feels a bit unfinished. There could easily be an epilogue book to tie up all the loose ends and explain what happened to all the minor characters who sort of got left behind
Death, life, tricks and treats. Heartache and love. All in this story. Read it and learn and enjoy. Trouble and the loves of her life and the ups and way downs.
This ending was everything. There was action, angst, love and loss, heartaches and endings, and bods forged in fire. I loves every second of this series and it all came to an astounding finale! I hate to say goodbye to Trouble and her merry men but I definitely enjoyed the journey!
