Ancient sorcery has produced a glorious new world that hides a terrible secret...
Henri left his career and fled to the frontier to protect his son. Out here he thought his greatest worry would be keeping the old forge hot enough to make piles of nails and horseshoes for the locals. He was wrong.
Goliath knight Mia does not belong. She's a loner who's never questioned where the power of her weapons came from or where her orders lead her. All of that is about to change.
When the armies of Baron Halett and the Holy Ganex Empire clash, Henri's greatest fears will be realized when his boy is infected by nineteen twisted souls. A mysterious figure offers a solution but only if Henri does exactly as instructed, should this person be trusted? Henri has no choice but to set out with Mia on a desperate quest through a world at war to save the child before he is consumed...
I am Tim Paulson, writer of fantasy and science fiction.
I'm currently writing the Bone knight litRPG series. It's fun to revisit the game worlds I enjoyed when I was young. I grew up with Final Fantasy, Mechwarrior, Dragon warrior (known to many as Dungeon Quest), and X-COM. These games, along with a whole lot of movies and books, have informed what I think is cool: Impossible odds and grave decisions with monumental stakes.
Bone knight book nine, the finale for the series, is currently underway. After that is complete, I have a new litRPG series already planned that should come out in time for Christmas 2022.
Also: Audiobooks are on the way and a Boneknight RPG game is currently in development.
If you've enjoyed my books, please leave a review.
I don't know if you have read any of the books in this series, but I have! Was caught off guard with the originality of the stories, the clever world-building, and mechs! Devoured all of these novels and hope for more. For the readers thinking (and expecting) out of the box writing!
I personally don't see how someone could read just book one and leave the series totally. It makes more sense to purchase all three and enjoy the fantasy adventure story that awaits. This series has everything a reader could possibly want humor, betrayal, battle, touch of romance, friendship and magic. The series is epic. It is a big beefy story following very well written, likable characters. Right away Henri and Mia stole the show for me. As the quest progresses though, all my main characters have grown on me. The banter back and forth might be my favorite part, I didn't expect to laugh out loud but I did numerous times. Which book is the best? Hard to say, I will say that you do leave on a slight cliffhanger and will be wondering how everything will end up alright in the end. Overall, I enjoyed the series and I think there is something for everyone here.
I loved this series except for the sentence before "the end" in book 3. But then we got an epilogue and an author update and I can see there will be more to the story.
This is such a unique story. The way magic works in this world is really interesting. The character development is mostly great (I don't love Giselle but maybe she'll mature one day). The interactions between characters is fantastic. The world building is wonderful.
I'm looking forward to whatever happens next. It'll probably be a while before we see the next book, but I believe it'll be worth the wait.
