I've been staring at my computer for the better part of the day, trying to get all my thoughts together and figure out how to write this review (and working too). And I keep coming back to, "WOW." That truly summarizes this boxset in so many ways.
I didn't start reading books by Amo til earlier this year. No one had recommended her books to me, but her book, Sicko, caught my attention (it's a dark, twisted book and those books speak to my quirky brain). So when I was given the opportunity to read this box set before the release of the next book in this series, I thought "Why, the hell not?" And I am so glad that I took that chance.
I have edited and helped combine many box sets over the years for different authors. This is the first box set that I have not read any of the books before, so it was like bingeing on the whole series (to date) and I enjoyed every single second I spent reading this.
Since I did not read these books as they were released, I read this box set completely through without stopping and writing a review for each book the set contains. So this review won't really give a detailed description but an overview of the whole series. I may go back and write a review under each book and add the links to those reviews here. Anyways……
I had never read any bully romance or RH prior to late 2018/early 2019 (While Jones may not consider placing this series in that genre, it can easily be placed in it.). However, with this series, it's different from what I have read in other books and series and I am entirely grateful for that. While the main genre would be dark romance, there are many elements of a bully romance and RH too.
Jones has a very unique voice and writing style. One thing I noticed is how her voice grew and became stronger and stronger with each book. There were certain things in the first two (maybe three) books that bothered me (some were personal annoyances) but noticed them disappear in books four and five. There were a lot of idiosyncrasies I had to let go of because the author wrote this series and these characters a certain way and if I kept harping on what I wanted to see, it truly took away from what I felt the author wanted the reader to see and feel as they read this series.
I could see how much her writing grew from Book 1 to Book 5. I will be honest, if I had read Book 1 alone, I may not have continued on with this series because of how poorly it was written and edited. If I knew the author well enough, I would recommend she have books 1 thru 3 re-edited with her new editor so they can clean it up and make it flow as well as her other books in this series. Just my opinion though.
So now that I have given you the technical parts of this book that made me love it – here's a quick rundown of why I enjoyed each and every single character and their involvement in this series.
The Kings run the world. And Jones does an amazing job of explaining without overexplaining how this is possible. Bishop, Nate, Brantley and all the others are the next generation of Kings. Madison is thrown into their world when she's placed in Riverside Preparatory Academy. She meets Tatum and Tillie through her school and shopping in her new town.
The Kings do not hide their power but they do keep their inner workings hidden. They only let everyone see what they need to see.
Tatum has known The Kings her whole life and it seems as though she's made her life's mission to know every detail. Tillie knows of them, but does not travel in the same circle nor goes to same the school as everyone else. The friendship between these three centers around Madison – she is the glue that keeps them together.
Jones has written a very intense, fast-paced and suspenseful series. You will find yourselves forgetting how old these characters are but then they go and do something that makes you go "oh, yea, they are still in high school." I think that Jones was able to find a nice balance as the stories released, showing that they all have to grow up a lot faster than their peers, but they also still make stupid teen mistakes.
This series is still not completed. Even those the first 3 are not Parts 1, 2 & 3, you still need to read them in order. Even before you read books 4 & 5, I would recommend reading the first 3 beforehand. Yes, books 4 & 5 can easily be read as standalones, there is an underlying plot that flows through each book and it's best to read them all in order to get a true understanding, especially the characters.
If you love a dark romance, you definitely want to read this series. And let the fiction take over your mind.
This series was very interesting to read. And I don’t even know if I can adequately review the books because part of me wanted to DNF multiple times throughout the series. And then the other part of me couldn’t stop reading because I wanted to know what the hell was going on and just to get to the bottom of all of the twists. I think the issues that I had with the books was there were a lot of holes. Not necessarily in the plot but in the characters. And I wanted to roll my eyes really bad. For example, When Tillie finally comes out to Madison that she was abused at home, she didn’t have a reaction other than wanting to go eat. And when Madison‘s life was in danger and they fled to a secret cabin, they just decided to randomly go paint balling? I just found the series to have really random moments that didn’t go with anything. It was almost as if I was reading two different series. I had a really hard time with the lack of emotions. There is a loss of a child and instead of having, to me normal reactions to losing a child in a horrible way, the parents acted like they lost their pet goldfish and just continued to party and have random and spontaneous sex. There was more detail in outfits that the characters were wearing instead of the horrific events of a baby that died. (And as a mother who has gone through fertility issues, this really really upset me reading.) There were books that I liked more than the others. I am not necessarily a fan of any of the characters. No one really seemed redeemable or likable in my opinion. The entire series was just really mediocre but there’s something about Amo Jones writing that makes me keep coming back for more. I absolutely loved her Crowned duet and LOVE the Midnight Mayhem series. If I had to rate the series as a whole, I keep going back-and-forth with my rating. It would probably be a three out of five because the entire series kept me somewhat engaged where I was able to read the first five books in about 48 hours. I own all her books and paper back because she has some of the most beautiful covers LOL but this isn’t a series I would probably reread.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Thank you for the most thrilling journey ever, and the best part: it isn't done yet. Amo Jones you are the f* queen. Loyalty Brotherhood Violence Dark Romance Power Money Secrets It has it all and I fucking loved it.. NEXT!
I read this series while backpacking and it truly was such an escape. I just really enjoyed this world and was so sucked in, any moment I was hiking I was reading!!
This story is a dark romance and contains triggers and situations that may not be suitable for everyone.
Whelp!! I literally finished all 5 books in almost 3 days. I just couldn't stop! I swear, if I can give this story more than 5 stars, I totally would. This my first Amo Jones book/series and I am now a huge fan. This series has everything; lies, secrets, deceit, twist and turns, possessive alphas who don't know how to deal with feelings, scorching heat, violence, overcoming trauma. It's intense! I'm going to recommend this every chance I get.
I received an ARC and voluntarily gave my honest opinion and review
This is such an amazing box set ! If you haven’t read this series yet you need too ! This series is honestly my favorite dark romance series by this author if you are not addicted to her words once you read this you will be ! Get caught up on the Elite Kings now before Bran Bran and Saints book gets here perfect opportunity and you don’t have to wait to read all of Bishop and Madison and Nate and Tillie story ! It’s all in one awesome box set !
THIS SERIES IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART, AMO JONES JUST DOES NOT WRITE THIS WAY AND HONESTLY, I WOULDN’T WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY.
I was recommended this book after I read Sicko and my friend was delighted that I was confused the entire series. I’ve spent the past couple days trying to put into words what this series did for me. I am someone who can usually predict how a story will go, I could not with this series. My mind stopped predicting shortly into the first book when my brain realized there was so much going on and I would just have to read to find out.
Let me start with Madship because OH BOY. I loved Bishop from the moment I read him on the page. He broke my heart only to repair it again later. Maddie said it best with, “I was addicted to the burn that crusted over my vulnerable heart every time he broke it, because sometimes, the very few times that I’ve seen another side to Bishop, made all those pieces worth breaking for.” There are no words to express my love for Madship and all the insanity they have gone through. Just when you think that you’ve figured everything out, Amo throws in the bomb of all bombs and you have to adjust your entire thought process. You get used to that bomb, and one more comes out of nowhere. (I spent a lot of time screaming “WHAT THE FUCK” during this series)
After 3 books with Madship, you get 2 with Nate and Tillie and holy. shit. Their story broke me in ways I wasn’t even sure I could break. The things that Nate and Tillie go through are the reason Amo wrote her first ever trigger warning. I wasn’t ready for the shitstorm that was thrown their way. I cried so hard I couldn’t see, and just when you think “oh, they’ve been through so much” another thing comes for them. This world is ruled by secrets and silence, the love they find is one of a kind and not easy to hold on to. Nate and Tillie took over my heart and I felt like they were honestly family. I felt for them and the trials they went through as though it was someone close to me going through them. I cried to the point that I thought I would never recover. Remember how Bishop broke my heart to turn around and put it back together? Nate broke my heart and for the first time in a long time I was worried I was going to stay broken. The entire story was a clusterfuck (And I mean this in the most sincere, amazing, what-the-hell-is-happening, kind of way.) Amo Jones reels you in and breaks you in unimaginable ways and I loved every second of it. Brantley and Tillie’s friendship was unexpected and wonderful and the surprise twist had me screaming into my kindle at 6am. You’d think you’d get used to the bombs Amo drops, but she places them so strategically a bomb-sniffing dog couldn’t find them.
If I had to sum up this series in one line, or one quote, it would be this “Secrets like this is why people die. Why they run away, and why love is burned” So, if you’re reading this series, prepare to have your heart crushed, put back together, and crushed again. Prepare to want more once these five books are over and to fall in love with each new King as they start to show you who they are under their masks. This series is why Amo will always hold a place in my heart and why she is a one-click author for me.
1) A high school vibe does NOT mix with a secret society trope. This is why I imagined that all these characters were in college, whew.
The Elite kings club is like a mixture of Hannaford Prep and Devil's Night by Penelope Douglas. I wholly hated the first and were somewhat fine with the other so I am really confused about this one.
2) The chemistry, sexual tension and the sex were fire blazing hot!! You will definitely need the fun toys near you while reading them ;)
3) It was like a secret society soap opera where everything was extra dramatic and secrets were revealed bit by bit to make the story as suspenseful as It could get.....while the fillers were all the high school drama you'll expect from kids (jealousy, drinking, parties, and bitching)
4) I think Daemon was my fav characters so what happened to him sort of broke me.
5) I don't know why everyone was so obsessed with Madison?! She was really annoying and a basic bitch as far as my opinion of her goes.
6) The 3.2 stars are for the hot sex and "Nate and Tillie" 's story. Malum one and two were my fav in this series cuz Nate and Tillie was the couple who felt very real with their hatred, tragedies, intensity and love. Plus Nate was rather charming and Tillie's captions were cute.♥️ One thing I didn't like in their story was Tillie's twat-ish grudge towards Tatum. It was too long and she seemed to forget that Nate was also involved in the whole thing🤷
7) The girls always bent to the boys. The boys had too much power over them and so the relationship was NOT equal ...the fact which I don't personally appreciate.
I feel an unnecessary but really acute need to mention that I read a couple of standalones by Amo jones before starting this series and I had mixed thoughts about all of those. The stories were intriguing and I enjoyed them while they lasted (which was until I finished reading) but I didn't LOVE them. This was the same.
Quotes that I liked:
Secrets are weapons, and silence is the trigger.
He’s perfection wrapped in a case of C4.
“I don’t get hurt, Kitty, and I don’t get even. I get cold.”
They suck you in with charisma and spit you out with sin.
“Why?” I ask, my voice husky and desperate. “Why did you sleep in my bed?” “Because knowing you’re okay is worth the pain that having you in my arms causes.”
“You asked me why he hates you…” Brantley says, his hand coming to mine. “Yeah?” “It’s because he can’t hate you.”
I search his eyes, his nose so close to mine. “When did you change so much?” The corner of his mouth kicks up in a grin. “I never changed, Tillie. You just never knew me.”
“You’re not a woman who can be owned. I knew that a long time ago. You may not belong to me, but you belong with me. And there ain’t shit you can do about it.”
OMG, Nate’s story is finally here on my kindle and I’m so excited!!!! This is the continuation of Nate Malum and Tillie Stuprum’s epic story and we finally get their back story as well. Can I just say this book was worth the wait and absolute dark perfection! Nate has such a way with words even as a teen, “I like my girls with a bit of bite because once they’ve mastered how to veil their fangs, they suck d&@k better.” This is an Epic Mindf@&k in the best way possible and I need part two NOW!!!! You must read the Elite King’s series prior to this book otherwise you will not know what’s going on. Deception, twists, sex, sacrifice and love is some of what you get in Malum(Evil) part one. The push and pull between these two is electric! Told in dual POV. This ends with another colossal cliffhanger. Hold on to your seats! “Regardless of what kind of monster you think I am, Tillie, and make no mistake, I can be a f&@king monster, I never let that side of me touch you. Ever.”
Malum: Part #2 (5 Stars)
I Bow Down To You Amo!! OMG This Book!!! The conclusion to Malum Part 1 is here and believe me when I say you WILL NOT be disappointed!!! What a wild and crazy, twisted, sexy ride this book takes you on. It starts right where Malum 1 left off and with a huge bang! “....if you hurt someone enough, they acclimatize to pain, but just like a wound, if you don’t seal it, you’ll bleed out...” I’m speechless how brilliant this story is! Tillie is the epitome of a Strong Woman and Nate...Well Nate is Every feeling you can possibly have! “..Because knowing you’re okay is worth the pain that having you in my arms causes...” total Swoon! Will we finally have all their secrets revealed? Will Madison and Bishop findna way back to each other? What will happen to the King’s and their Queens? You just have to read this masterpiece and find out for yourselves. Told in Dual POV
A few years ago, The Silver Swan repeatedly popped up as an Amazon suggestion, but I was hesitant about reading it. After so many people recommended the Elite King series, I finally took a chance. Let me tell you that I couldn’t put the novel down and I then proceeded to devour the rest of the series. This author is the queen of writing dark and gritty stories that will leave you wondering “where does she come up with this stuff and where can I find more?” This series is so cleverly & expertly written that one will find herself/himself captivated by the characters and drawn into the intriguing world of the Elite Kings. This series will give you heart palpitations, melt your kindle, and have your jaw dropping with all of the twists and turns. If like me you were unsure about committing to these book, I will tell you to give it a chance as you won’t regret it!
I’m not even sure where to begin. I’ve been wanting to read Amo for ages and I figured I’d jump in with both feet and start reading The Elite Kings. WOW I freaking love Bishop, Madison, Nate and Tillie actually I love all the characters all the Kings *sigh* except Tate grrrr that girl I have a Love/Hate feel with her and Madison WTH!! The stories themselves were so good I was glued to my iPad.
The Gold that comes from the wicked mind of Amo Jones
This series sits proudly in the top 5 favorite series! I am obsessed with the way Amos mind works. She dark and twisted in the best way and makes you think of things from 30 million different perspectives.
This box set is truly something else! Very mind manipulating and dark. The mystery, the twists and turns. Amo Jones is extremely creative and I was on a nonstop can’t slow down train reading this beast of a book! I am so impressed!
This book has messed with my head.. i really enjoyed it.
Really twisted story. great writing had me from the start and couldn't put it down.
The Broken Puppet Really loving this series,

Tacet a Mortuis
This book is Fantastic...
What a beautiful, talented mind this author has.
This book is everything. I have had my questions answered that I had, I have some new ones but as we know this is a 13 book series and this book was the last of Madison and Bishop story although I am sure they will pop up in other books.
This book is so thought out and very well written. This book has it all Murder. Action. Violence! of the charts hot. This book was just brilliant. I love the chemistry between Bishop and Madison To get inside Bishop's head it was intense and great to see what he was thinking in certain parts. I not going to go into the storyline but it carries on from where book two left us.
It will draw you in and you will not be able to put it down you will be turning the pages until the last to find out what is going happen.
I had a roller coaster of emotions while reading such an intense read... So if you are a fan of Amo’s this book is a must read if you have read the previous books. If not what are, you waiting for it really you will not be disappointed. However, please start with book one the silver swan. To fully understand these books.
I cannot wait to see what Amo brings us next plus the next book in this series.

Malum: Part 2 OH WOW
OMG!!! What can I say. This book is..... I'm not sure I have the words to do this book justice but I try my best spoiler free. This is the conclusion Malum part 1 and all I can say is you DO NOT want to miss it, you will not be disappointed. It is told from Duel POV'S, It is a crazy roller coaster ride of a book it will have you turning the pages so fast to know how it will end. Once I started it I couldn't put it down. questions are answered that i had from part one secrets are revealed I have to say this series just gets better and better I can't wait for the next book in this EPIC series. If you haven't started this series yet then what are you waiting for you'll love it. Full of twists and turns this book is sure to mess with your emotions and your head
Box Set Books 1-3 Oh good lord.. I can’t even with this series.. what a utter mind fuck.. I absolutely loved it!! Amo has a way to pull you in and suck the life out of you and leave you standing there thinking WTF!?! *and she will do it with a smile on her face* I absolutely loved Bishop and Madison.. Bishop is a complete A$$hole but that is why I loved him.. and don’t get me started on the rest of the Kings.. I mean I would take a Bishop / Nate / Brantley Sandwich any day.. Madison moved to town with her dad and new Stepmom.. and she then meets her new (and oh so HOT stepbrother Nate..) Nate’s friends are the Elite Kings, this mysterious group.. Bishop is the Leader of the Elite Kings.. and he has his eyes set on his new Kitty.. This book (or series for that matter) has it all.. Secrets, Drama, Mystery, Lies, Deceit.. I could not put it down.. I got the box set a while ago and when I saw that Nates book was coming out I dug into to this series… There are so many twists and turns, you don’t want to stop reading.. you just need to see where the story goes.. I def recommend this series.. if you love dark and twisted.. its a must!!
Malum Part 1 Oh my F*CKING GOD!!!! AMO what the hell are you doing to me..?? I thought you screwed up my head with Bishop & Madison (which I loved) but now NATE & TILLIE!!! I’m still trying to process what my feelings are... I loooved this book sooo much. When I read the first 3 books Nate was the fun loving joker.. but we get just a glimpse at what is going on in his head in Malum.. This book completely gutted me...and I need the next like RIGHT NOW!!
Malum part 2 OH MY F**K!! WOW just WOW!! Amo is fucking bloody brilliant.. If you thought book 1 was a mind fuck.. BE PREPAIRED...BE VERY PREPAIRED!! This book is going to blow your ever loving mind!! Amo has a way of getting you to the end of a cliff and just keeps you dangling there.. holding on for dear life.. What is she going to do.. where is she going to take you.. The secrets are revealed.. the truths are told.. and justice is served!! Nate and Tillie are the King and Queen and those who try to step in there way be dammed!!
Thank you Amo for this absolutely amazing read!! I can wait to see what you have in store for Brantley... good lord.. I soo can not wait for him!!
BRING ON BRANTLY AND SAINT!!!! And I need more of my Madship!!!
Welcome to the world of EKC where nothing is as it seems and no one is who they appear to be. The riddles, twists and turns kept me hanging on to the bitter end. I will say. I don’t think I like anyone right now, except for maybe Tatum. Everyone has a lot going on, and secrets don’t make friends. I’m moving on to the next though, I need to know what is going on.
Book 2-
Sheesh. That ending. I feel like I’m just dangling over a shark tank, and one false move could change everything. More has been revealed, but not enough for it to make too much of a difference. There’s still much to learn. The Madship dynamic is starting to be fleshed out a little more, and we’re finding out more about the Swan and the Kings.
Probably my favorite of the series, so many skeletons are unearthed, lies and truths exposed, and we finally get to dig around in the head of Bishop Vincent Hayes. Still not an overwhelming fan of most of the characters, but I can also see the growth in them and how that might change, very very soon.
Book 4-
Nate. Ugh, Nate. My favorite from the moment he introduced himself to Madison in the very beginning of the series. I knew his books were going to take me places that I wasn’t sure I wanted to go. I went anyways. And now my mind is completely effed. I don’t even know who I am anymore. And Tillie. Such a strong character from the beginning. Do not even get me started on Brantley. This was one of my most anticipated reads, and I devoured it. Mere hours after it arrived in my hot little hands, I am forever changed, and ready for Part 2. I knew Amo Jones was the freaking queen of twisted, but this was a whole new level, one I don’t think I could have prepared for.
My gosh, this world does my head in. Just absolutely kills me dead. Tillie and Nate. Madison and Bishop. Brantley and his keep away. Like. Can y’all please get it together? I wasn’t prepared for most of what I got in this book, except for the lead up to the next. That I was prepared for. I’m ready for more EKC.
This whole box set is so hard to put into words other than ‘holy shit’. It’s a little sinister, a whole lot dark but a whole lot more amazing!!
Madship. Ugh I love them. I hate them. I love them. Madisons story is wild and raw. She comes in seemingly afraid of the unknown but soon takes it in her stride. Their love is not without its struggles and you will see that throughout the series even after their book. I will say you may end up with a tiiiiny bit of hate for Madison but like I said in the beginning, love hate love. She’s an ever spinning coin for me with the decisions she makes. Bishop, the king of kings, he tries his best for Madison again throughout the whole series but he should know better than most secrets are not best kept. When some truths come to light it leaves the pair reeling, but how will they fare?
Before reading Malum do note there is a warning at the beginning for a reason. Do not take it lightly. Now Nate. Wow Nate. He’s got my heart I think for sure. Typical Elite King, brash and bad boy exterior but on the inside he’s just as vulnerable as the next civilian. Tillie is just your average girl, befriended by Madison and her ever kind nature. She soon becomes a vital part of Nates life when suddenly she disappears under what they think are circumstances of her own making... but how sure can they be? Nate and Tillie are not your average pair, they are undiluted love and toxicity. Their story just clutched my heart in the best way, when reading them I really felt the emotion flow from the pages through to my core. They do not get it easy and experience the most brutal of heart breaks.
Brantley. Soulless devil Brantley. You see a lot more of him later in the series and boy does he bring the heat!!! With that ending I am so so very excited for his book and absolutely cannot wait to dive in!
This boxset has the 1st 5 books in the Elite kings series. 1. The Silver Swan 2. The Broken Puppet 3. Tacet a Mortuis 4. Malum Part 1 5. Malum Part 2
Books 1-3 follow Madison and Bishops story whilst books 4 and 5 follow Nate and Tillie. Quick easy reads. 8 books in total so far in this series.
Grab a cup of tea cause we are getting ready to dive in.
First of all, Um hello daddy x9 The men in these books are hella toxic but have you simping for them none the less. You get the Dark, Bully Romance, Touch her and Die, Possessive, Stalker, Mindf*cking energy from them and this series keeps giving and giving. If you can see what's going to happen by the end of these books then you must be some sort of Mage because the twists keep twisting and the tables keep turning.
I really enjoyed these books and I don't know what it was or is but I could not seem to put them down. For me, the plot and spice were a perfect balance to keep you edging deeper into the books. There are parts in the books for me that had plot holes but they seem to surface the more you dive into the series. Amo has written these so well you feel like you need to keep reading to figure out what happens because shit me, Even I cannot guess at this point.
The way everyone was written in these books are badass. You have characters that you fall in love with and also characters that you absolutely despise.
I would recommend giving this series a go if your looking for a Dark Bully romance series. I would also advise to check content and trigger warnings going into this series.
This is a good book I want to start there. Definitely worth the read! But a few things that will keep me from reading the rest of the set. The whole thing with “shooting” and hunting... what? That was so very forced and seemed not any or hardly any research was done there. Talking about firearms, incorrect terminology was used a lot here. Could be where I’m at but usually we don’t call it shooting it’s target practice at least half the time. And as much as it’s used in here she really didn’t know much about it for as much experience as we are supposed to believe. My husband and I are collectors and avid hunters of only wildlife we can consume. Hearing her talk about about it was just “cringy” so very wannabe I guess. Second thing, she supposed to be this little bad butt chick but through the whole book she is timid and won’t take up for herself doesn’t do anything about the bullying or anything. Comes off as weak and gullible till literally the last page. Then all of a sudden she knows about knives? If she was skilled at protecting herself as the author tried to portray, did it all go out the window every time there was a situation she needed it? And the nothing to extreme abuse to whatever no big deal attitude made it hard to feel for your characters. Could not relate at all. That being said you should still read it, everyone’s taste is different.
This series has all the love my black twisted heart can give 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Silver Swan was my first ever Amo book and she slams right into you with the pain and blood she poured into these books. A darkly twisted tale with passion fueled distrust in a bloody world. If only their lust could solve all their problems. They’ve got plenty of both. An intricately designed masterpiece full of passion and all the angst you could ever want and more. The characters have a depth of emotion that drags me under with them. I yearned for their hearts desires and shattered to pieces with each gut wrenching twist. Their passion ignites with a mere touch. Each turn had me gripping the edge of my seat and holding my breath, never ready for what came next. As always she writes a story that’s gritty, real, and holds no punches. I lost bits of myself in the pages of these books. It flows naturally without a boring moment. This story will be etched on my soul forever. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes them. I am as always a loyal fan that bows down to wicked mind that thinks up the soul crushing depravity of this world. That builds us up and tears us down just as easily.
I managed to make it to page 405 of this series and that was painful just to get that far. The first book held my attention...story seemed interesting, intriguing except for I constantly had to reread paragraphs trying to make sense and for the love of God, I swear the MF took a shower about every page and a half..lol
Second book I thought we’d at least get some answers to keep our interest piqued and it would start to make sense, but after so many pages of the same “we can’t tell you” or the author continually using words as circle jerks and getting no where, it started to become boring to me. I no longer care what happens because this author just used criptic ideas and the same verbiage to make the books longer...it was like reading “Bueller?, Bueller?” (lol) on every page and getting no where with the story. Even the sex scenes were lame, sometimes violent and it was hard to like the MF for continually being a dumb twat..lol I give up because I no longer care how it ends lol
So these books are good and well written but dark. I really enjoyed the 1-3 when we first meet Madi and Bishop along with the rest the Kings...how ever booked 4&5 to a complete left turn. In the first 3 books you really get to see how strong and confident Madi is and how hard she had to fight to be accepted and respected by her Kings as well as Loved by Bishop. It was dramatic and sexy and fast paced. Then come to books 4 & 5. They are just as well written and alot of drama and just as many hot scenes, but the lead Madi from the first 3 books was turned into a coward and made into a weakling...to the point where she threw everything away. Since I know there will be at least one more book I'm hoping the storyline is sorted out otherwise what was the point of books 1-3? These books are well written and hot, dramatic to but spending so much time developing characters to then just throw them away, I'm giving only 3 stars.
CAN YOU SAY BOOK HANGOVER!! This boxset is the furthest thing from hearts and flowers you can get. You will want to thunder punch a guy or two, and you may want to bitch-slap a chick or two as well. Be warned these books will play with your emotions and have you questioning just about everything. There are so many things that happen between these pages and many of those things will leave your head spinning! I just binge read these 5 books in 2 days!! I could not put them down, and I am not only emotionally drained, but have one hell of a book hangover. Amo Jones you are the you have the uncanny ability to create a world that pulls you in from the very first page. I will say my emotions were all over the place during these books. I laughed, I cried, & I raged. You completely destroyed me, but you were kind enough to piece me back together... P.S. I need the next book STAT!
This is a review of the whole boxset. I'll try to not spoiler anything but I can't really promise. So sorry in advance.
I've read this whole series a while back including a much needed break betweend book 3 and 4 to get my mind onto something else for a while.
I seriously have to say that this series blew my mind. It is one of the darkest books I've ever read. The characters are so unique and different. They all have some kind of difficult past that you don't see from a mile away.
The first three books are about Maddison and Bishop who have their ups and downs, twists and turns and at the end they find eachother in all the dark times. In their story you get to know all the characters pretty well and you get thrown into the deep end. You won't be able to stop yourself from reading this series in one go and find out all those dirty little secrets hidden in the Elite Kings world.
Book four and five are about Nate and Tillie. Nate has been my favorite since the beginning of the series so to see his story warms my heart. But it isn't any less dark than the first books, it get's much darker and alot heavier than I thought. Since I read one of Amo's other series before I started this one I had a feeling about what might happen in these books. nonetheless it still took me a while to process it and I needed to take a huge breath before continuing.
I can't wait to read the next few books in this series after the events that happened in book 5.
Total mind blown. I didn't expect this when I started reading this series. This was nothing I've ever expected. All the characters have done kind of hold on you as you get to know them. Some you don't get to know right away, but the ones you do, holy moly. You will love characters, learn to love characters, hate characters, and relearn to love the ones you hate. Something new always happens, and when you get frustrated from not knowing, it hits you right at the exact moment it should.
This is a series that is it was something that went on in the world today it would just be crazy. Maybe it is happening and we don't realize it. The Kings along with Madison and Tillie will keep you on your toes, maybe shedding a few years, hurting just a little, and wanting more. Keep reading, I. Have a feeling it's just the top of the iceberg.
The Elite Kings Club series is pure, unhinged madness—and I lived for every second. Amo Jones doesn’t just write stories—she writes fever dreams. Twisted plots, morally gray characters, secrets layered on secrets… and somehow it all works. If you’re not confused and obsessed by chapter three, you’re not reading it right.
This series is the definition of dark romance chaos: rich kids, violence, power games, and forbidden everything. The drama? Unmatched. The vibes? Immaculate. The men? Terrifying and irresistible. And the twists?? I was holding on by a thread and loving it.
It's the kind of series where you don't always know what's happening—but you know you’re addicted.
Unapologetically wild. Darkly sexy. 100% worth the emotional whiplash. 🖤 Elite Kings Club didn’t just go off—it exploded.
Just wow!! I cannot believe the ride I just took with Bishop and Madison and then Nate and Tillie! Wild!! The secrets run so deep and there is just no anticipating them. Don’t even try to figure things out because there are so many plot twists to leave your head spinning. I have to say that I cursed the way these “relationships” were going. It was downright painful. And then, and then, and then.... ahhhhhh! I’m still mad at what she did to a couple characters! How and why?!
Brantley and Saint’s story will likely mess me up more but I hope it gives clarity and repairs the mess made in this book. It HAS to because I can honestly say I’m devastated. I can’t say more without spoilers.
This is a must read wild and crazy, unpredictable book.
This series is so good! Totally one of my favorites that I can never get enough of! Amo Jones has done a fabulous job at writing this world and these characters!
This world is crazy! There is so many twists and turns you don’t see them coming. You are literally on an emotional roller coaster ride throughout the entire series. These characters are all so strong and confident. They are literally top of the food chain. I wouldn’t want to mess with them. I literally love this series so much I can’t put it into words!
I definitely recommend reading this! Such an amazing journey you are taken on! This also prepares you for the next book in the series coming out!
