Cocky Hero Club

Omega Artist

Rate this book
I lured and tricked Tig into a random hookup on social media.
He has no clue he’s anything but random to me.
He has no clue we’ll play by my rules.
He has no clue I’ll seduce him, then dump him because he deserves it.
I refuse to allow manwhores like Tig de Luca to be praised and called Don Juan for collecting women, while I’m labeled as easy for test-driving the countless suitors selected by my old-fashioned father.
I am a woman-empowering French influencer, and I’ll teach the once famous tattoo artist a lesson. It’s risk-free after all; I’m not into cocky alphas and crave a genuine connection.
I didn’t expect the game to quickly escalate into steamy, intriguing, and witty conversations.
I didn’t expect our undeniable virtual chemistry to transfer to real life.
I didn’t expect to unearth the real man beneath the surface and guarded attitude.
A widower who erected barriers to protect his wounded heart.
A lonely thirty-something who’s not the monster I believed him to be.
An omega artist who’s not my type, but that I share some unlikely affinities with.
Still, we both want something casual that doesn’t require a label. I can’t let our infuriating attraction and astonishing compatibility overrule common sense. I’m on a mission after all. All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

Omega Artist is a Cocky Hero Club novel. It is inspired by Stuck-Up Suit which is part of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward's blockbuster series, Cocky Bastard.

This is the second book this week that I’ve had to deep pause before I do a full review because the storyline had merit and potential but the execution/style/voice was just ... *sigh*

I don’t want to giveaway any of the story but I have to tell you that for me, Ali was problematic. I don’t understand the choices the author made for her character in about 75% of the cases. If I can’t understand a character, how am I supposed to be able to root for them? So yeah, I had problems enjoying myself with this story because too much did not make much sense to me. I mean I got it, but glass houses people! (I can see how that might make zero sense to someone who hasn’t read this book but that’s all I got for you) The journey and/or development of Tig was done well. His character made sense to me. His growth and development thru the story was emotional and felt real. Honestly, if it wasn’t for him, I would have given up on the book *shrug*

Final rating … 2.5 stars leaning towards 2 (it was okay) more than 3 (I liked it)

Art crossed lovers! Amazing!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I enjoyed it tremendously. Ali travels to the states to prove a point and Tig is her target. Even though these two agree to no commitments and no strings attached sex you can feel the attraction they have for one another. I often got frustrated with Ali because she was doing the exact same thing with men that she was trying to prove a point about. And the fact she had chosen Tig as her target when she didn't even know the guy from Adam irritated me even more. You truly can't judge a book by it's cover. This book alone proves that unless you've walked in another person's shoes you can't judge anyone by their actions. This book has all the feels. I even cried at one point. A must read!

Omega Artist is my first read from Hope Irving, and I wasn't disappointed. I struggled for awhile with Alie, I had a hard time warming up to her, maybe because she had appointed herself the job of teaching lessons and I think she bothered me because she was doing the very thing that she accused so many others of doing...making assumptions. She has these ideas about who Tig de Luca is before she's either met or even spoken to the man, which I found hypocritical on her part. She gets her eyes opened when she does speak to him, and even more when she meets him, he's not who she expected. The same can be said for Tig when he meets Alie. The chemistry between them is off the charts, and they are pretty compatible in every way, including how they see relationships. In the end I did warm up to ALie, and really started to like her and hoped things would work out for her and Tig...as far as finding out if they did? You'll just have to read this book and find out!!

I had a love hate relationship with these characters. This book isn't a light read at all, if that's what you're after then bypass it... but...if you're after a story that's full and rich with emotions then look no further.

Tig is a broken man who wants to shut off his feelings and live life in gray colors. He's a tattoo artist and painter who's life didn't go as planned.

Alie is a feminist with a capital F. She's strong, stubborn and loyal to a fault. She's a woman living in a man's world and she's had enough.

These two will have you ripping out your hair at some of their foolish decisions and antics.

This is the first of this authors work that I've read and I enjoyed it immensely. This will be one of those stories that you and your reader friends will be able to discuss over coffee.

Also this book is big..baby definitely got some back.

This is not the usual story we get from the Cocky Hero world, this story is full of depth and emotion. Hope Irving has written a beautiful story of two people who are broken in their own ways.

I have to be honest I almost abandoned this story after the prologue, I wasn’t sure where she was taking these characters and I was a bit freaked out. I’m glad I kept going, getting to see Tig and Alie’s lives tangle and then grow was just beautiful.

This story was different but sometimes that’s what we need, that being said, there is still drama, emotions and plenty of blushworthy scenes that Alie is proud of 😉. I am glad I didn’t stop reading and gave Hope Irving a chance. Don’t miss out on this one.

Alienor + Tig

We all know Tig from other books, and loved his story with Dalia 🙌🏻💕

But in this book she dies so get your tissues ready because you will need them 🥺😭

Notes 📝
Second chance on love, loss, drama, fear, overcoming it all, tattoo artist, love conquers, friendship, nieces 💕

I really enjoyed reading it, although it made me cry and emotional sometimes 💕🙌🏻

Well done.

4.5 Stars for Omega Artist
Hope Irving is a new author to me but that’s about to change because after reading Omega Artist I need to check out other works by this very talented author. I have to be honest I struggled with Ali and it took a while for me to warm up to this character but once I did, boy was I glad I joined this emotional ride. Ali and Tig’s love story is not sweet it’s not roses and rainbows, it’s dark and deep and full of twists and turns, ups and downs but you will be drawn in and their story will captivate you.
Tug is a tattoo artist who’s life hasn’t gone to plan and Ali is a strong and at times stubborn woman but this is a romance about two broken souls needing each other to build for the future.
Once again we get another talented author joining the Cocky Hero Club and this book is a great addition to that new world.

I was looking forward to Tig’s story and I wasn’t disappointed. Hope was a new author to me and I loved this book by her. This is Tig and Ali’s love story and wow what a story it was. This book has all the feels and will have you hooked as follow them through all the ups and downs. This book is part of The Cocky Hero Club but can be read as a standalone. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion.

I had a love hate relationship with these characters. This book isn't a light read at all, and it is full of emotions.

Tig is a tattoo artist and painter who's life didn't turn out how he planned for it to be. Because of this he seems to shut down on himself.

Alie is a very strong, stubborn woman. She will not be a woman living in a man's world anymore though.

These two will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This was my first book by this author and I wasn't disappointed.

This was my first book by Hope Irving. By the end of it, I was like, wow. I sat back and just enjoyed the moment. I couldn't go to bed last night without finishing the book. I loved it so much!!! There were moments, like the end of chapter 22, where my emotions got the best of me. Yep, I cried.

I loved the depth of the characters in this book. Their struggles and demons that they faced were real, raw, so emotional. I cheered when they were overcoming their struggles. Their friends, the ones that truly stuck by them - especially Tig's close circle - wow!

The characters faced real life struggles. I like how Ms. Irving didn't try to sugar coat what they were going through. We saw the bad side of the downward spiral. We felt the shame that the characters went through with their actions. I got mad with them, I laughed with them. I wanted to go knock some sense into them. Each aspect of the story was real, has the personal touches that interconnected the story and really brought it together.

I female narrator- I love her voice and accent. The guy has a great voice too.

I am looking forward to reading more books by Ms. Irving.

An emotional roller coaster of a ride. The angst and build up of these characters had me at page one. I love a strong female lead and Alie was that. Tig was her match and I loved reading about them trying to overcome their past and become what each other needs. Great book and a well written addition series.

Tattoo artist Tig isn’t the same after he loses his high school sweetheart, Delia. His life is suspended in a hellish reality, and he is stuck, unable to truly feel and move on. Going through the motions and prodded along by his best friend Soraya (Yes, that Soraya— from Stuck-up Suit!), he slowly rejoins the living world... Denying himself true happiness and fulfillment secondary to a severe case of survivor’s guilt and grief, he forgets his reality by becoming a manwhore, for lack of a better word.

Aliénor (Alie) was born into an old money Parisian family with high expectations. Young, impulsive, opinionated, and defiant, she is constantly judged by her friends and family for what is viewed as promiscuous behavior unsuitable for a woman of her breeding. To escape her frustrating reality, she starts a fitness and female empowerment blog. When she learns of Tig’s behavior from a source that’s close to her heart, she comes up with a plot to teach him a lesson.

Only, she didn’t expect to slowly, unknowingly fall for the haunted, heavily tattooed artist who is anything but her type. And he didn’t expect to care so deeply for another woman after Delia. When all pretenses are dropped and they simply allow themselves to be, they are happy. But will he allow himself to move on? And once he discovers her original plan, will he have the desire to?

Tig is the perfect dark, brooding hero. My favorite characteristic of his was how sweet he was towards Soraya’s stepdaughter, Chloe. The scenes with the two of them made my heart melt. He grumbles and has plenty of snark and barbed wire around his exterior, but on the inside, he’s a true softie. Despite seeming to have an agenda, Alie grows to be extremely likable. She is funny, incorrigible, and heartbreaking in her own way. Her own preconceived notions of Mr. Right keep her from seeing what’s right in front of her.

The secondary characters—from Soraya and Graham (and their family) to ball-buster Claire to Sybil—help the reader to get to know the main characters beyond the walls that each has erected. The banter, especially between Alie and Tig (via text and in person), is so amusing that I snorted a few times (like the lady I am!). And the chemistry between these two is off the charts, no matter how vehemently they both try to deny it.

Omega Artist was a unique read that shows that happily ever after and Prince Charming can come in many forms, if only you are honest with yourself and open your heart and mind.

I had a little trouble getting into this book and connecting with the main characters. But if you will persevere, and get past the first couple chapters, you will find yourself caught up in it.

For me, once this unlikely pair started messaging, I was vested in the story. The plot was, as some of the others have said, not an easy one. It was sad, dark, depressing, and dismal at times. Both Tig and Alie had had some devastation in their past, and it left them scarred, both emotionally, and Alie also physically.

The premise on them meeting was wrong in so many ways, I disliked Alie for her plan. I also didn't like Tig for the way he went thru women like penny candy. And honestly Alie was no different. They did redeem themselves when they both fell in love. I figured it out before either of them did! Our Queen Hen and her King Cocky aka Omega Artist were a PERFECT MATCH!

I have really been enjoying these Cocky Hero Club books and this book gets 4-1/2 TATTOOED STARS! Just keep them coming! (Pun intended!)

This was my first book by Hope Irving. It was slow starting but definitely got better. This was not a light read. I was not expecting so many deep emotions that went with each character. They were both dealing with so much pain and not realizing who the other person was deep down at first. So. If you are looking for a book with a lot of angst, grab this.

Omega Artist by Hope Irving is a stand alone novel that is part of the Cocky Hero World. Each story is a spin off the original stories created by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward.
I really wanted to love this book. The cover shows a haunted man, the description vowed of revenge and it was about an artist... the entire package had my name written all over it.
Emotionally, this book is heavy. It will break your heart while you go through your journey with Tig, the passionate tattoo artist and painter. It will color your emotions as you experience life through Alie's perspective. The story in it of itself is beautiful, amazing and complex.
However, the writing style to me came across as repetitive and wordy. I understand that the intention was to convey the emotion, but it felt overdone and honestly ruined it for me.
That being said,I highly recommend this novel. Tigs story is emotional and deep and Alie's perspective should not be ignored. Together, they form a beautiful message and and story.

My favorite quote: "I fear..."

Enjoy

I'm wrought with deep emotions over Tig and Alie. These two didn't have an easy journey. They both frustrated me at times but nonetheless, I'm thankful to have been able to read their story. If you love books that aren't always fluffy clouds, sunshine and rainbows, that are a little more deeper and darker, then Tig and Alie's story is for you. This was another fantastic five plus star addition to the Cocky Hero Club world.

Wow what a great read!!!
Part of the Cocky Hero series , Omega Artist is a sometimes dark but always enjoyable read.
Tig ( love the name) is the “man whore” tattoo artist or so Allie thought. She had preconceived ideas of what he was and who he was. Until she didn’t.
Allie is the strong feminist to the core. She just wants to be an equal to men.
This quick enjoyable read will have you wanting to jump in and scream and slap them till they listen .

A broken tattoo artist who chooses anonymous hookups over bottomless sorrow. A French influencer who believes in woman empowerment. An online relationship that grows into something they would never have expected... Don't they say opposites attract?

I am sorry but after reading about 50 books of this cocky hero club series, I just can't accept the idea of Tig being with someone else except Delia. Especially that someone else is so childish. I think Alie's behavior toward Tig is unreasonable and childish which seem to match her own age but 21-year-old me is more mature than Alie. So yeah, if Tig isn't with Delia, I want him to be with someone worthy than her. Beside that I don't feel any chemistry between Tig and Alie because the author wastes half of the book describing Alie and Tig's life separately so I just can't picture them together this way. I hate to give a bad review but I can only think of a few good sides of this story like Tig's friends are great so 2 stars it is.

Talk about mixed feelings…

There are wonderful characters here. Tig is a charming man, despite his chosen methode of coping with his wife’s death. The young Alie is a force to reckon with, driven and with a clear view of the world she wants to live in. There are a few side characters that didn’t feel necessary to the story, but they added a lively touch.

There’s also a story here, of intense passion. Of discovering each other and learning to look beyond the facade. There’s a strong feminist message, and another one of acceptance.

But the book is mostly about the moments in between. Don’t get me wrong, I want to read about a slow night in front of a TV, or walking the dog. But I also want to see some live action, instead of reading only reminiscences. The pace of this book isn’t great, and I had the hardest time finishing it, although I really liked the characters.

It’s like you know there’s a treasure here, but it’s hidden under dirt and dead leaves.

Quickie

- Series: standalone (but part of the Cocky Hero Club)
- Hashtags: #tattoo artist romance #no strings attached #age gap #widower #tats&piercings #women empowerment
- Triggers: serious health issues
- Main couple: Aliénor Godefroy de Briard & Tig de Luca
- Hotness: 3/5 (seriously hot, but not very detailed)
- Romance: 4/5
- + so much love for tattoos and piercings!
- – 3 is a good rhythm… a few times in a book, not at least once every paragraph

Allie is a strong and stubborn feminist, who has chosen Tig who is a so called “man-whore”, and a tattoo artist and painter as her target. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, and Allie soon realises he is nothing like she expects and that her preconceived ideas of Tig who is a widower were not correct, as he is actually a lonely and broken man. To be honest, I struggled to engage with Allie to start with as she was doing the same things that she accuses others of doing. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, and I was totally enthralled throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more form this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.

Hope has grown weary of the double standard that she has encountered when it comes to physical intimacy. Even though she doesn’t know Tig she is about to make an example of him, but he may not be the only that will be surprised by the outcome.

Tig has endured a painful loss which he hides behind self-destructive behavior. When he meets Hope he believes that she will just be another way to temporarily push aside his real feelings, but he is about to find out how wrong he was.

The characters are compelling, and their journey is emotional as they overcome their less than ideal beginnings to realize they belong together.

Sometimes commitment sneaks up on you when you least expect it

My first Hope Irving novel and I loved every minute of it. She captures perfectly the idea of women choosing how they wish to live there life, and accept their sexuality without being labeled as a slut. She also shows how Tig had to find himself again after a great loss. I highly recommend

Omega Artist is an interesting book to read.
It has many lead characters..
Trig.. he is a talented tattoo artist.. and in my books. Player.. but there a reason behind his actions.
There is Allie G ( Aliénor) a sweet natured young lady with this thought in mind..
"I didn’t expect the game to quickly escalate into steamy, intriguing, and witty conversations.
I didn’t expect our undeniable virtual chemistry to transfer to real life."
I loved reading this book.
