How can Valhalla expect a banished Chosen Warrior to trust their agenda, when the Valkyrie are apparently at war with each other? Even worse, the Gods and Goddesses themselves seem involved.
But that's just the beginning of a journey that crosses from Austin Texas, to Iceland and even Russia. Tracking and rescuing his ex-girlfriend. the Valkyrie who wants him dead, leads to Nuclear Weapons, Foes out of ancient legends, and near apocalyptic catastrophes.
Of course, Magnus could just ditch the whole thing, but there are a few gods and Valkyrie that would just love that excuse to toss him into a Volcano. Provided there was anyone left after the dust settles.
Steve Curry uses an eclectic range of experiences as story fuel. From the US Army Chemical Weapons program to high-end resort kitchens, and even ICUs, Steve plugs real tidbits into his fantastic and fictional worlds. His current forays into writing are Urban Fantasy infused with lots of mythology, new age religion, supernatural goodness and real-world history along with a soupcon of Jim Butcher’s humor, and a few pinches of Robert Parker’s character-building traits. To see how he’ll entertain you join the other’s interested in his work at Steve Curry’s author page ValhallaAwol on Facebook.
I started this series because I love urban fantasy and Norse mythology. Steve Curry has mixed these 2 elements into a fabulous tale that is almost impossible to put down. I read the first six books in 2 days and now I'll be starting book 7. I love everything about his books and look forward to reading more!!
Not sure where the beginning middle and end were in this book and how he lost his regenerative powers gets shot burned broken arm and still makes it to the end bloody hell he should be named “ Mighty Mouse” in the next book hence 4 stars only 😷
I’ve read the whole series and await more. Definitely piqued my interest of where this story goes. Norse mythology in a little different light than expected.
