Significant

Rate this book
Aaron LeBeau crashes into my life as my savior. But he is no prince. He is everything I shouldn’t crave. A danger, sending all the wrong signals while awakening all the right things.

Aaron LeBeau.
A heartless alpha.
An undefeated Formula 1 driver.
A dark enigma.
… And the man who trapped me into an agreement.

I was supposed to unravel who he is, without shattering my rules.
I didn’t sign up for a whirlwind passion of a twisted role-play of the hunter and the prey.
Nor for our demons to be magnetically attracted, our chemistry to be haunting, our broken souls to understand each other.
I promised I would never be his; body, soul, heart.
And that’s a promise he’s hell-bent on breaking.

Love.

A banned word from our vocabulary.

Significant.

It has never been a possibility for us.

A mutual salvation, or mutual destruction.
Breaking or freeing each other.
Healing or getting ripped apart.

A fatal game.

5 ❤️🔝❤️🔝🖤🔝💔🔝❤️ 👏 🎨🕊 🐺 🏎 👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟s❣️❗️❣️❗️❣️

Mind blowing....
Outstanding...
Riveting...

A journey of two tortured souls.
Aaron LeBeau and Elle Monteiro.

“Can two broken people really overcome their fears and the damage their pasts have caused them? Or are we damned from the start and we’re just hiding, lying to ourselves?” Elle

Aaron was a Formula 1 driver and Elle a journalist.
Broken characters who were trying to hide their wounds, but shared an overwhelming attraction and connection.

“We can’t deny our connection. We can’t stay away. We can only take a leap and burn ourselves. Hoping to be significant.” Elle

Everything was meaningful!
Every paragraph, every scene.

Everything had depth.
The writing, the plot, the characters, their backgrounds, their feelings, their lines.

Everything had development.
The characters’ backgrounds, their present status, their relationship, the storyline.

Hope and trust were some of the fundamental elements of this story, and the revelations towards the end led to redemption and catharsis.
The author efficiently delivered with passion a very strong and intense love story, leaving me breathless, deep caring for Aaron and Elle, experiencing every heartache and happiness they went through.

“He is my beginning, or my end. My savior, or my hell. Opposite and contradictory, but whole.” Elle

Ma belle, Sanen Ricci, if this was your debut novel, I can not wait for your next release❗️

My sincere Congratulations❣️❣️❣️

I'm aware that I'm in the minority but unfortunately this book didn't work for me and I pushed myself to finish it.

I love everything about Formula 1 so I was excited to read this book. While the story was okay and I was interested in the main characters' past something about the writing style that I can't quite name didn't work for me and it made it hard for me to finish this book. Also, I was tired of the constant back-and-forth between the main characters and the use of the word (in)significant in every few pages annoyed me.

There were some funny parts and some twists I didn't expect but overall my experience with this book was not that good. 2 ⭐

I saw my friend Dora’s review on this book (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...) and had to read this, and to say that this was reeeally good is an understatement. Then I saw that this was the author’s debut novel and let me say that if this is how you begin I can’t wait for more. Congratulations! ❤️

I was hooked to the story from the second chapter and couldn’t put down the book, their chemistry was off the charts, and the depth of the characters was *chef kiss*.

My heart broke more and more as I was reading more chapters. When you think that they are reaching a happy ever after, the whole world turns against them. It was sad to see how much they loved and cared for each other but because of the people closest to them, they couldn’t make it happen, untile they finally could 😭🥰😭🥰

“It doesn’t matter how long I’ve known him, what matters is how our souls recognize and connect in symbiosis. It’s inexplicable. Haunting. Significant.”

PS. Can we please have a novella about Monica and Louis’ story please? 👏🏻👏🏻

An F1 driver. A journalist. A story she has to unravel or she loses her job. Both completely broken psyches. Do they have a hope in hell of abiding by their arrangment - no feelings?

For a debut novel, this one rocks. Fully fleshed out, damaged characters who share intense chemistry, equal amounts of pain, pasts that should mean neither should be anywhere near the other. But they make it work, somehow. This is a wonderful story, intense, sexy, and tragic with shades of hope woven in.

Ohh boy, where to begin? A friend recommended this book to me (if you are reading this, I'm sorry) and that is the only reason I actually finished this thing.

First of all, I get that "Significant" is the title of the book, but there was really no need to sneak that word into the plot every couple of pages. It seemed forced and unnatural and it made me wonder if the author is familiar with synonyms.

Secondly, I don't wanna sound rude but the author writes so much about sex that I wonder if she needs to get laid or watch porn or if she just really likes sexual plot-lines. I would let that one slide, except that the sex was basically the only "exciting" thing in this book and without all of the sexual encounters between the main characters we would be left with roughly 50 pages. Honestly, I just started scheming through them thinking that if I wanted to watch porn rather than reading a book, I would.

Lastly, the characters. Jesus Christ. I did not think they were likeable or believable at all and they both had the exact same feeling and personalities. The book was divided into chapters alternating from Elle and Aaron's point of view and the two of them were so similar that sometimes I didn't even know whose chapter I was reading. It was so unbelievable that while reading I did not picture the characters, but the author sitting down writing the book.

Overall, it was predictable and full of unnecessary analogies attempting to describe how the characters felt about each other. To me, it just fell flat and it was a real chore to finish reading this.

Edit: as a French speaker, don't even get me started with Aaron's annoying "ma belle."
Okay I am done now, thank you.

I found it crazy that Significant was this author's first book because IT WAS AMAZING! Aaron LeBeau is an undefeated Formula 1 driver, and dark mystery. Elle is a journalist who has been tasked with interviewing Aaron or she could lose her job, and she has no idea how to go about it since he won't do interviews. However, neither saw the other coming, and after her helped her avoid a situation, they started out on an intense journey that she shouldn't want, but she couldn't stay away. Both have dark pasts making them tortured souls but whereas he's dark, she's light so they may or may not deal with things differently. The chemistry is intense, the story impossible to put down with and just an all around amazing read on a deeper level. As much as Elle craved Aaron, I craved more of this story after it ended. I'm not about to get long winded since my review would NEVER EVER be able to do Significant justice so just hit those one click buttons! I CANNOT WAIT for more by this author, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

some parts happened too fast. conflict resolution was way too quick, like one page later everything was good again. too much philosophical, revelation-type inner monologues that just carried on.

The beginning of this book was amazing. I love f1 so I was very excited. I eventually got kinda bored and skipped a lot of parts because Elle, who has been through a lot, didn’t really have a backbone. When Aaron and her where fighting, elle didn’t let Aaron grovel to much. The only thing he had to do was say he was sorry and everything was great.

I missed the deep connection between the characters. I sometimes felt like it was rushed and I didn’t really like that. Aaron and Elle both had pasts that could have heb made better in the book. Like Elle only told half of the stories that Stephan did, and what happend to Stephan?

It was a good read but in the end it is worth 3,5 stars!

if you’re into growling, repetition, predatorxprey references in every paragraph, the whole “i’m cold and distant and i’m super duper dangerous” because i have trauma, the whole “i’m not like other girls” tropes (if you can even call these tropes” then i guess this is the book for you :)

“Significant” is bold in its sensuality and even bolder in its vulnerability, peeling back layers of fear and pain until only love remains. A story of surrender that doesn’t break, but heals in ways you didn’t know you needed

This is a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Aaron / Wolf is a fearless and talented F1 racing driver, who is mysterious and a total enigma, and Elle is a journalist who has been sent to get an interview from this illusive alpha who does not take part in any interviews, or she has been threatened of losing her job. While socializing at a race after party, Elle sees someone who she would rather not see from her past, and Aaron comes to her rescue. The chemistry between these two is intense, and she is the light to his darkness, but do they have a future together and are they able to move on from their dark pasts? This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, as well as being and intriguing read which had me completely enthralled throughout this addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more form this talented author and I recommend this for all.

I think this a marvellous book where the reader could easily identify itself with the characters. I love the deep and complex about the story and the characters personality because at first you have an impression but the more you read the more you discover there is much more than what catches the eye. And the evolución of the characters i love it!! Oh and the interesting scenes ;P (wont do any spoiler but you wont get disappointed once u read it..it makes you crave for more). It's for sure a read I'll recommend, it got me hyped since the beginning I cant wait to see what else is there while I'm reading it :D

“I didn’t sign up for a whirlwind passion of a twisted role-play of the hunter and the prey. This was not my case at all because I totally sign up for this and let me say the Significant was just pure heaven or perhaps hell? Shanen was a new author to me, I started with no idea of what to expect. I surely will be checking her books! The depth of the characters and their personalities was something delightful to read. I was immersed in a world that took me by surprise and amazed me. It was the kind of story that kept pulling you into the plot along with the intriguing situations, it had my total attention. Plus the out of the chart chemistry but I’m not going to spoil about their connection… it was one of a kind.”

Wow what a story! Hot and romantic but with a thrilling tale to go along. Some great twists and plenty of angst. I did notice a few grammatical errors but most were pretty easy to get past. For the first book by a young author it was fantastic!

For Shanen Ricci’s debut novel, this wasn’t that bad. At all. I dug for a little research and found out that her first language isn't English. As someone who’s first language was not English as well, I hold a lot of respect for the author for writing a book following American spelling and American English. People don’t realise how hard it actually is for others who don’t originally speak English to successfully write a book with no grammar or spelling errors, so Ricci did a wonderful job writing her first book ever. As for the book itself, I love Formula One, so reading about a spicy Formula One romance made me love the book even more. The only critiques I’d have about this book were that Elle was a little bit too vulnerable to me, and the word “significant” was repeated way too much in the story. Other than that, the quotes were beautiful, Aaron and Elle’s romance was beautiful, and don’t even get me started on the plot twists. They made this book all the better.

This book is amazing! For a debut novel I was happily surprised with how good the writing was!

I'm not gonna lie, the first chapter gives you heavy wattpad vibes but that does fade and then you find yourself transported into this magical world of F1, romance and great writing.

I loved this book! It's definitely a book wroth reading.

I didn’t expect to like “Significant” this much, but I loved it. There was the right amount of pain and love. What I liked more was how the two characters helped each other in the beginning without even noticing. They were/are so broken that they thought nothing good could ever happen in their life, it was heartbreaking to read but I love heartbreaking books.
(Well, the fact that Aaron was an F1 driver helped a lot and was also what made me decide to read the book because formula 1 is one of my biggest passions… yeah. ) And I can’t wait to read her next book.

There were a lot of factors that I didn’t like

Very pick me vibes from the girl and the guy she keeps on referring to him as a wolf which I don’t like

The inner monologue is so detailed and unrealistic it gets boring
