40 pages. Great older book for information on Roman history, culture and art. I learned a lot while reading this book. I was actually able to identify some landmarks while reading this book that laid unidentified in my scrapbook for years. Amazing! Old photos but show everything that one might want to look for in basics of this art style. The author explains everything very well. I was trying to decide whether to weed or keep this one. After reading it, I have determined it is a keeper. Highly recommended for 5th grade and up.

This was a nice additional bit of curriculum for our Art History unit on Ancient Rome. The information is informative and clear, and the pictures (though black and white) are good. At the time of its publication in 1965, this would have been a fantastic addition to any middle/high school classroom.
