'The day Sarah Delvecchio had been dreading for years was finally upon her – her eldest son was taking up the job left open by the death of his father five years ago. The head of a mob organisation in Florida. It made her sick with worry.'
Still reeling from her husband’s death five years on, Sarah Delvecchio has to face the fact that her eldest son Giorgio has become the head of the family business. He now has a target on his back and that terrifies her, fearful he may end up murdered like his father. But Giorgio has been waiting to step into Marco’s shoes for years and he is more than ready. However life doesn’t go to plan for Sarah or Giorgio and they find themselves at the heart of another treacherous plot to undo the Delvecchio Empire. Left virtually penniless and with very little manpower, they retreat to Sarah’s homeland and head to Cornwall to recoup and recover. While sheltering in the fishing village of Port Kerrow, Sarah, Giorgio, and the family make plans to return to Palm Beach. With the help of a small-time European gangster, the residents of the local pub, and a Trojan horse back in Florida, will they be able to regain everything that was stolen from them?
I have independently published four books. I love to read crime thrillers from the criminals point of view (not a fan of detective novels) so to write a trilogy about a fictional mafia family seemed the perfect option. I have also just (March '24) published my first children's book under my married name, Wendy Maynard.
I live in Cornwall, UK, with my husband and doglet.
I used to love to travel the world but now prefer to stay closer to home - we have such a beautiful country so why not?
