Faith Daniels is a stylist at the Cut Me Some Slack salon, along with her two best friends Tracy and Kim. Five years ago her husband died and she’s been content to forever live a single life as he was “the one.” However, her friends believe it’s time to stage an intervention. Using Faith’s desperation for help with the upcoming bachelor auction during the Solana Beach Fall Festival, they agree to assist if she will toss a coin in the town’s “Fountain of Love” and let them give her a makeover. She reluctantly agrees and to her great surprise, it does seem like it’s now raining men with all the attention she starts getting. But there’s one man in her life, Noah Clark, who’s in the friend zone but would like to shift out of it into something more meaningful.
I was looking for a light-hearted, fun story and this turned out to be exactly what it promised. Faith is an interesting woman who wasn’t looking for anything but what she already had: a job she loved and friends she adored. They were just as loyal to her and added lightness and hilarity. Faith’s dating adventures were just that, interesting outings that didn’t end up with Mr. Right but helped get her closer to understanding who might be. There are reasons why Noah is reluctant to express his feelings to Faith but I won’t spoil that discovery.
This was a delightful story that was nicely narrated using two performers. Cris Dukeheart is one of my favorites so I expected a strong performance, which she delivered. It’s my first time listening to Ryan Burke and I liked his characterizations. Faith’s transition out of her single life into the dating world was fun and made even more interesting by her friend-to-lover relationship journey with Noah. There are secondary storylines that just made this a wonderful listening experience. I like Amooi’s writing style and will definitely listen to more.

My Review:
I know he is happily married but I shamelessly adore Rich Amooi, he has never let me down and is always a good bet for an easy to follow, wittily amusing, and sweet and fluffy giggle-snort worthy read. He has never failed to put a smile on my face and is the perfect antidote for stress. His latest missive features three good friends working as hairstylists at a salon cleverly named "Cut Me Some Slack" and a local myth involving “The Fountain of Love,” where one tosses in a coin and finds true love soon after. I enjoyed every entertaining word of this light and sweet tale as well as the sincere and highly likable cast of primary and secondary characters.

Faith lost her soul mate Ryan five years ago and her best friends think its about time she stops grieving, moves on and tries her hand at dating again.
Tracy and Kim convince Faith to throw some money in the love fountain and make a wish for her ideal man.
But Faith has already had perfection and her soul mate with Ryan and really doesn't want anyone else. But anything to get them off her back, plus they agree to help her organise a grand event.
Faith doesn't believe in the power of the fountain, but when she literally bumps into two men directly after making her wish.... maybe just maybe there is some truth to it after all!
But there is one man desperate for Faith's attention, even though in his head she's like a forbidden fruit and also her best mate is his Ex Wife. But fate just seems to keep drawing them together! Maybe he might just be the one that got away!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this light hearted romance that really had a fairytale vibe to it. The characters were very well written and entertaining.
It's raining men is a sweet and cosy second chance at love rom com with wit, friendship, a dash of drama and humour, which will leave you smiling and feeling warm inside. The perfect wintertime read.

It’s Raining Men was such an enjoyable read, entertaining and thoughts-provoking too.
Faith is a young widow, she works at a hair salon with her two best friends.
One day her friends tired of seeing her waste her life only working and staying at home challenge her to go out and to start dating again. So Faith accepts some men’s invitations to lunch, dinner and also a baseball match but is she ready to get out of her shell in order to find a new lover?
Rich Amooi works are always a pleasure to read but this time he succeded to get me thinking of keeping some of my anxieties at bay and try to get out of my comfort zone in order to meet new people and maybe a new partner, who knows.
If you need a push to go out and live your life a little more I recommend to read this book.

A Rich Amooi book is always guaranteed to put a smile on your face and this was no exception.
And wow it really was raining men for Faith, and all of them utterly gorgeous, sexy hunks that seemed to have caring sides, but dodgy food preferences!
So would you prefer a firefighter, doctor, lawyer, pro surfer or mechanic, from the main ones that we get to see? I mean literally take your pick as I could fall for all of them, but especially the one that Faith realises she may just have feelings for.
But she only put a coin in the "fountain of love" as a joke and because her friends were offering to help her out organising a bachelor auction, if she started dating again, as it has been 5 years since the love of her life, Ryan died.
The entire time I was thinking I want to move to Faith's town, as I want not only to put a coin in the fountain but I want the quality of hot guys interested afterwards!! Please can someone transport me there!
This is a hugely enjoyable story of friendship, new love, and just a really lovely slow burn romance with both parties denying their increasingly obvious feelings! It is the perfect way to escape the real world for a few hours, while you absorb a really feel good story.

I just can't help but adore Rich Amooi's books and this is another to add to the books I adore by him. This one lives up to its title as Faith soon discovers!. It's her two best friends that convince her that the fountain of love will work for her. Faith isn#t convinced but to keep the peace she agrees to drop in a coin and make a wish.
It's not that Faith has bad luck when it comes to love, it is that she lost the loved of her life when he passed away five years ago. She has started to remember the good time they shared but she doesn't feel like anyone else can come close to filling the hole that he left, and she doesn't really want to.
Her friends don't take no for an answer and the author really has created the two most brilliant of friends to help Faith out. As I said the title is perfect because as soon as Faith makes her wish she notices men taking an interest in her, in fact by the time she has walked back from the fountain she has bumped into or noticed several men looking at her, surely the fountain isn't for real!
I adore the way the author deals with his female leads as he leads them around the houses making mischief and adding humorous lines along the way. This is a book that deals tentatively with grief and how you can get stuck in a rut. He also manages to create a wonderful set of friends that form a bond and have a loyalty to each other. This is where the author excels, in so much as nothing runs smoothly. AS a reader you can see where he is going and you can see the finishing line but it is the route he takes to get there.
This is just the most perfect Sunday afternoon read, yeah that is exactly when I read it on a windy wet day sat inside in the warm. Yes, the author does verge on the cheesy side at a time, but it really doesn't matter because the story is just a joy from start to finish. If you are looking for a positively heartwarming read for a wet and wintery day then this is one you definitely want to pick up. The king of Rom-Com has done it once again.

From the moment I was introduced to Rich Amooi's books, I have grabbed each one and thoroughly enjoyed them. I know that I will be entertained, have some laughs and meet some wonderful characters. In this book, Faith is finally ready to move on, five years after the death of her husband. Bribed by one of her best friends, she throws a coin in the fountain in the city centre. The rumour is that if you throw a coin in and make a wish for true love, it will come true. Well, immediately after Faith throws in her coin, men start taking notice of her. They are not just your ordinary men, but all gorgeous, caring, generous men. Faith is overwhelmed but is willing to give dating a chance. Will she find her true love?
Faith, Kim and Terry are best friends and have been since they were kids. They were known as "The Three Amigas" and are all turning 40 this year. They are great characters. They only want the best for each other and are totally loyal and caring. They are also a hoot and get into some fun situations. This is a wonderful, enjoyable story of friendship, new beginnings, second chances and happily ever afters. I enjoyed meeting all the characters in their town from the three ladies to their clients (they are all hair stylists), the bachelors, and especially Bumper, Noah's dog. Delightful!
This is such an uplifting and romantic story!
It is mainly about the beautiful love between Faith and Noah and a fountain!
Not only is this story filled with humor but it also has its fair share of angst and a bit of the nastiness that goes with jealousy, but not too much of that.
What shone through for me was the overcoming of doubts by the two main characters and how their love for each other won against all odds.
This book is a winner and because I love winners, I am recommending it, so enjoy!

I am seriously going to run out of words that I can use about a Rich Amooi book. Each book I fall in love all over again and I think this could potentially top his other books. I mean can I have my own Noah…plus I do have a car with lots of issues 🤣
One thing I always love about Rich’s book is that there is always hope, love and fate. 3 things that make me smile. Each book there is always something stopping the characters who are meant to be, being together. That story is always a cinch, its normally a story of pain and loss, a story to make you care about the character and why they have closed themselves down. Here it is no different.
However, there is something that feels fresh and different from Faith and Noah’s story. It may be a story we know and love from previous films and books but in the hands of Rich, it is different. I sat there most of the time smiling when I read It’s Raining Men, you have the small part by Gertrude who is a lady I would love to know more about and her one date rule. You obviously have the main characters but you have such a lovely camaraderie with the supporting cast with Tracy, Kim and Alonso. They know our crazy kids all too well, and they. So obviously see things that the MC can’t so easily.
Every book to me is like a piece of sunshine. The rain is howling against the window today but in these pages, I was basking in the sunshine of Solano Beach. I have been whisked away back to my magic happy place. I really do not what more I can say that I haven’t already, I am never disappointed by a book that has the words Rich Amooi on, in fact, I fizz with excitement knowing I get to disappear into a place of love. A place to shine, smile, laugh and love. There really is nothing cheesy with a slice of true love.
Still haven’t decided if it will top Five minutes late because that was my introduction to Rich but it is definitely the next favourite. Every book you step into, the story gets stronger and leaves you feeling lighter when you close the pages.

There are so many things to love about Rich Amooi’s contemporary rom-coms, and this one is no different. Love in the middle years? Check. Hero and heroine both turn 40 during the story. A second-chance romance where the first love isn’t in any way diminished? Check. Faith’s first husband was in the military, killed on deployment 5 years ago, and her love for him is absolutely respected, not least by her love interest Noah, who was a friend of both of them. Normal People romance, with not a billionaire or royal in sight? Check. Noah owns an auto repair shop and Faith is a hairstylist.
Reading one of Rich Amooi’s books is like a warm hug. Like a mug of soup on a cold winter day. It’s not decadent or luxurious, but it is comforting and it makes you feel great. I agreed to review this one before I’d even seen a blurb, and I have to admit once I had, I felt a bit of trepidation, because Old Friends To Lovers is one of my LEAST favourite tropes (long story, but personal bad experience makes me wince every time I run across this one). Even with that going against it, I still really enjoyed this, because Amooi avoids falling into the creeper trap - by explicitly addressing it. By having Noah question himself repeatedly about whether he SHOULD be having feelings for Faith, let alone acting on them. In the end it was Faith who chose to make the first move, acting on her own developing feelings, and it was just so believable and perfect.
I’m honestly a huge fan of Rich Amooi. I can’t think of another man writing in the (het) romance space today who I trust to deliver on the promise of an HEA without allowing his heroes to get creepy or stalkery in any way. This one isn’t as laugh-out-loud funny as some of his I’ve read - go for Just Another Silly Love Song if you want that - but it’s still a genuinely great read. Five stars.

This is my second Rich Amooi novel and once again - it's a huge thumbs up from me. Rich just seems to write the most wonderful escapist romance novels with brilliant but everyday, realistic characters and situations.
Faith’s friends convince her to toss a coin into the new fountain and wish for the man of her dreams. Utter nonsense, right? But then why is Faith suddenly the centre of every eligible bachelor in the locality? Is her Mr Right out there after all?
My heart immediately went out to Faith and her situation. A young widow 5 years ago and so convinced she had lost her only chance of love. She is such a sweet character and one of those people you just root for and really take under your wing as though she’s an actual friend. She’s so well loved in her community and gives everything back to them.
I love the plot of throwing the coin in the fountain to lead the reader into a romance and introducing a whole load of potential suitors to keep the reader guessing. I couldn’t help vetting each love interest and checking if they were good enough.
This novel also deals with grief and moving forward in a tender and sensitive manner.
I love how Faith’s friends and her community all had different characteristics and personalities. The girls were very mischievous and added comedy and a light-hearted feel to the book.
I also love how we get Noah’s perspective too. I enjoy a male perspective in romance novels as I feel it shows that many men are often similar in their romantic feelings.
This is such a wonderful story to sink into and for many readers, a one sitting novel as it’s not easy to find a suitable stopping place. Highly recommended for a feel good and humorous read.

All I can say is where can I get a fountain like that...STAT!
Faith had the love of her life, but it wasn't meant to be the ONLY love in her life, especially when it was cut short unexpectedly. Noah missed his shot once upon a time, but sometimes things happen for a reason, as he's about to find out...at least, he will if he ever actually gets his booty in gear because second chances don't just wait around for anyone! The plan concocted by the friends involving a wished upon coin in the fountain rang familiar, but only just. The antics that follow said wish are HI-LAR-IOUS to say the least, but oh so heart warming to as Faith really starts to come back to life.
All in all, this was another rom com story filled with heart, laughs, and second chances to get things right, from an author who's becoming known for knowing his way around the genre. The character voices are distinct, the story while familiar is still original and engaging, and you genuinely want to know how things are going to turn out in the end! So dance the night away with the Three Amigas and get to know the most eligible bachelor in the area, as you discover the many surprises life still has in store for these love crossed leads...and cross your fingers for a happy ending!

I gave 5 stars, because it really was a cute book & I love second chance love stories. A little different then his previous works. I felt this one was a little less side splitting but no less as fun.
Always believable characters and situations. Dialogue realistic and best of all good clean romance.
I loved Noah, the kindest hearted man. Ahh if we all could find a man like him!
If you love romance with a bit of fun nonsense, quirky characters & a very happy ending, this is your book. It’s raining men!

Never a disappointment when reading a book by Rich Amooi!!! There is always something to bring a smile to your face or just make you burst out laughing!!! The characters are charming and the story developed great!

I think we’re really missing the big picture here, because it’s not exactly just about dating. What Tracy is really trying to say is that your hoo-haw needs some yeehaw.
A delightful and fun read with amazing characters…this is what I’ve come to expect from Rich Amooi, and It’s Raining Men is no exception! There is loads of laughter, sweetness, and sass, making the perfect recipe for all the feels! This book is binge-worthy!

The characters are always my favorite part of Amooi’s stories. Faith is a caring and selfless woman who makes a deal with her friend to try dating again and the sexy hot men line up after her wish in The Fountain of Love. The camaraderie between Faith and her besties, Tracy and Kim, is entertaining and heartfelt. And I liked the friendship between Tracy and her ex-husband, Noah. Don’t we wish all divorced couples got along that well?
As for the man who has a secret attraction to Faith, his endearing traits are plenty including genuine, generous, and loyal. With fate and a little ingenuity from his friends, the perfect couple is brought together with a HEA ending. Let me add that my favorite character is the oh-so-adorable and clumsy French bulldog, Bumper.
Overall, I recommend this book, especially to romance readers wanting that enjoyable, sweet read that’s oozing charm and laughter!

It’s Raining Men is a romantic comedy, with a twist. A BIG twist. While I was reading about Faith and her experiences, particularly with one of the eligible bachelors in question, I thought about how entirely unconventional their relationship could be. It made for an interesting angle that not only added something unique, but it provided more of a risk for Faith. Falling in love could potentially lead to losing friendships, a major high stakes game for me.
I loved Faith’s story, and why she ever felt the need to toss a coin into the “Fountain of Love.” We get to see a lot of transition for her, given what she has been through over the last several years. While she holds onto a lot of who she is and what makes her special, at the same time she discovers different ways of coming out of her shell, mostly attributed to her best friends who have been with her through it all, and want the very best for her. It was fun to see her dealing with the various men who are interested in her and delve deeper into this second chance love story, but I enjoyed the close-knit relationships she has with her friends, too.
Any good read needs to have an arch nemesis, and I need to mention Pam, Faith’s nemesis. We never really get the concrete reason behind why Pam is so evil and dislikes Faith as much as she does, but she sets out to be obnoxious, and I don’t know if I’ve eye-rolled more at any other character! It was equal parts wanting to see what would happen next and what Pam would do, and wanting to see how Faith would handle it or what sort of comeuppance would come from it. It was a nice balance from how wonderful Faith and her friends are, to how annoying Pam is.
I’ve yet to read an Amooi novel and not love it. This is yet another five-star experience to add to my list!

It’s raining laughter! This particular story had me laughing out loud in a quiet library, and I got the “shhh your being loud” signal! I just loved the humor, the characters and the story line that had me in tears at some parts, and laughing out loud at others.
It’s a story about a group of friends who have been through all of life's challenges together. Marriage, divorce death. They stick together and have each other's back over the years.
Faith loses her husband Ryan five years ago while he is deployed. Her friends convince her to finally get out and start living again. Noah misses his best friend Ryan, and made a promise to Ryan he would always make sure Faith is taken care of. The story of how these two characters get together is what I totally loved. There is a fountain in the city where if one throws a quarter in and makes a wish, you will find your “one.” The crazy dates and situations that happen as soon as Faith throws the quarter into the fountain and makes her, wish it pure writing genius. Faith meets and goes out to date a few of these men and it sends Noah into a frenzy. The scene where poor Faith just wanted a hot dog at the ballpark, and was stuck eating only cheese because all the food is very fancy, had me in stitches. The side stories with her besties and co-workers Tracy and Kim, and Noah’s employee Alonzo is great writing with wit and many funny situations. Does the guy get the girl? You have to find out and read this amazing feel good story.

It’s Raining Men is the first book I’ve read by Rich Amooi. It won’t be the last. This romantic comedy had me chuckling out loud, wiping away a tear, cursing the villainess, and cheering for the happy ending.
Faith Daniels and her best friends will make you smile with their quick wit and fun attitudes. Several handsome men who make appearances aren’t afraid to show their generous souls and that they care about others.
The storyline is fantastic. Haven’t we all wished upon a coin before tossing it in a fountain? I know I have. The friendships carry the plot proving you can maintain lifelong connections. I enjoyed watching Faith grow beyond her grief to open up to life and love once again, with her friends helping her along the way.
I’m a sucker for a great dog as one of the characters. Bumper is definitely a scene-stealer. I wanted to sneak him treats and scratch his belly. He’s a beautiful addition to the story.

This is the story of Faith and her search for Mr Right, it is told over 21 Chapters (+Epilogue) and one thing to not from the get go is that if you haven't read a book by this author this is the perfect one to start with. This story can be described as Romcom at it's best. From the funny relatable moments that everyone can experience to the soppy romantic moments that we all wish for.
From the moment the reader starts this story and joins Faith on her journey, they will gripped wanting to know who out of all the choices available Faith will choose. Within this book there are moments that can only be described as 'LOL moments' as the reader will find themselves laughing out loud.
The characters in this book are loveable and relatable. They have great interactions between themselves and could be the person you pass on the street. Not only that you find yourself wishing for them all to find there happily ever after and not just Faith. Not only that but there is great chemistry between Faith and her suitors.

This is such a great book by an amazing author, This author is an automatic read for me because all of his books has a HEA and are so funny! This book is not different, once I started this book I couldn't put it down. Faith Daniels is a widow and has decided after 5 years that she is ready to get back in the swing of things. Her friends make a deal with her that they will help volunteer with her but first she has to put a coin in the "wishing fountain" in town. Faith doesn't believe in the fountain that whoever makes a wish to find true love then they will. Faith has already had one true love and doesn't believe that she will be lucky enough to find another. Within minutes of throwing the coin she has men coming from all different directions but is one of them her true love? You have to read the book to find out. I really do hope the author writes another book for each of Faith's friends because I love them all so much!

I always look forward to reading anything by Rich Anooi: SO entertaining! And "It's Raining Men" was no exception. Faith works at a hair salon with two long-time girlfriends. It rankles the other gals that Faith refuses to date, even though it's been five years since the love of her life was killed while serving his country.
Through what you might term "blackmail", one of the friends talks her into throwing a quarter into the local "Fountain of Love" where it's believed by many that true love is found in that manner. I hate giving away the plot when I do reviews, so I'll just say that what happened almost immediately after tossing her two bits is surreal and lots of fun for the reader, as well as the two co-workers. Faith, not so much... well, not at first, that is.
Will Faith end up with another perfect man? You need to read it and find out!

Funny
Warning: if you have bladder control issues, put on Depends before opening this book. I laughed so hard at so many spots. Rich is one of my favorite authors. He really hit one out of the park with this book.

Rich Amooi never fails to give you a light, humours and heartwarming read.
For some this might be plain read, but I love his writing and way of storytelling when I'm trying to unwind.
If you have liked books by Rich Amooi before, you won't be disappointed.

Just when I was about done reading romcoms about 20 somethings finding billionaires, Rich Amooi releases a perfect book about a group of friends just about to hit 40, and they all have normal jobs! The story contains quirky dates with hunky men, a great dog and a bit of fantasy about a fountain of love. I loved the relationship between the characters and the many laughs (especially a big one in the midst of the copyright disclaimer.) What a great escape in the middle of our troubled times.

This is a fun rom com with intelligent, likable characters, and a good romance. It’s very entertaining and done without swearing or sex. Thank you Rich, for another 5 star story!

Enjoyable, sweet romance
I really enjoyed It’s Raining Men. The characters are well developed, likable people. The premise of the book is cute and I loved how the story flowed. There is a bit of humor in the book and a lovable dog.
