One night while making his usual deliveries, Tak is challenged by a mysterious new car--and is left speechless when this car actually beats him! Later, Cole throws down the gauntlet when a group of obnoxious guys from Tokyo disrespect their small-town racing. With Tak as backup, the battle begins. But when a mysterious driver joins the race in an RX-7, could this be the same driver that beat Tak earlier?!
Shuichi Shigeno (Japanese author profile: しげの秀一) is a manga artist, best known for the manga series Initial D. The biggest negative this volume has is its mini race that’s straight up bad. The racers calling each other nerds, fat or even hicks is just terrible. Then of course Tak just effortlessly wins a race. Hoping the physical versions update this cause it was not fun but besides that this is the best volume in a while, we got the old crew at the beginning and then another romance happening in the second half.
