I used to love Initial D., the cars, and the racing; I felt it call out to more than any other shonen manga.
However, I reached a point where I could live without it and I desperately need the shelf space. So this is going to the Culling.

Ry vs Tak and Cole getting a racing love interest that ends as quickly as it started. The relationship was a little immature with miscommunication and a bad reaction to the truth. The story is picking up now with different locations and not just Mt Akina.

Finally an issue that moves beyond Mt. Akina and into other facets of Cole, Tak, and the rest of the gang’s lives.
Sure there was racing (which was far more exciting this time), but in this issue Cole finally gets some female attention and Tak starts to think of life outside of racing down the same hill over and over again.

We say goodbye to Mt. Akina which is great. 5 volumes of the same track got really annoying. I like that we’re getting female racers as the next opponent and a new track but the writing for them has been bad. They’re very solid racers but the one behind the wheel is oblivious and knows nothing about cars, the comments towards them is horrible. Really bad language that hasn’t aged well. I do like the new romance made here but I don’t buy that it’s as simple as that. We also get the question asked if Tak is only good cause of the track he’s in so we’ll get the answer to that soon.

October 18, 2024OMG! The cheesy lines at the water park had me laughing out loud. The dialog could use some punching up…
AND! Come to find out, I’m flipping yellowed pages of musty, old Tokyo Pop manga from a second hand store when I could be reading a new translation on big, bold, crisp, white pages with Kodansha’s new omnibus releases. Unfortunately, my local library only has volumes two and three, so I’ll need to have the local indy bookstore get the others. Hopefully, the library will take them as donations as I have no more shelf space.

Ry is my favourite together with Tak and this race between them was so far a race more technically exciting than the ones before. The earlier races still feel more nostalgic to me, but I just love when they get more technical. They’re exploring goals and mindsets more and just overall go a layer deeper into every aspect of the story.
I love Tak and Ry’s relationship and how they respect each other’s skills. So far, most doubted Tak, but Ry brings nothing but respect to the street.

this is one of the best books for a car guys because you would actually find it amusing like the actual anime it self.

Great book, with the short length of the books in this series, they make an entertaining book to fill a short hole in your schedule.

I absolutely adored the anime. So I thought it was time for me to be the actual Manga and I still love it

this book is about tak. he lives in the world of street racing, and races in akina mountain. he gains his reputation by beating everyone in the mountain, trying to achieve his goal in street racing.
i would connect this book to text to world. because many people try to gain rep by doing whatever it takes. like tak with racing. such as fighting, wrestling, sports. etc.
i would give this book 5 stars because it shows racing which is a book i love in this kind of topic, also it is a graphic novel another favorite. mainly there is always racing in this series which gets me more attached to the book.

I am suprised that Tak can beat RY because RY is so good hope Tak can beat other racer in other location with no problem since he is a good racer and he has fast thinking and that help him with racing
