In Nigel G. Pearson’s new book A Ring Around the Moon: Witch Rites Revisited, I felt as if I was with him and his circle as they performed the sacred rites of magick. Pearson helps the reader connect to the powers of the God and Goddess and the energies of the changing seasons. The rites performed in this wonderful book teaches you how to bring the Old Ways into our modern times that is both charming and powerful. This book is a must read to anyone who seeks an audience with the spirits of the witch. -Chris Allaun, author of “Otherworld: Ecstatic Witchcraft for the Spirits of the Land”
A disappointment. Having loved treading the mill and walking the tides, this book is so far removed from those first two books it's almost as if written by a different author coming from a different craft. It was very wicca, a little - what's often considered 'fluffy' and very 'google witch'.
Personally I feel slightly cheated, having considered the author a genuine traditional witch.
A very interesting and useful read for anyone interested in the topic, it’s quite eclectic in places but useful in knowing how to focus and bring in practice of rituals within the Wiccan / Traditional craft. Heavily focused on deity / Goddess rituals as influenced in part of Wiccan traditions Although many will not be moved to practice in the same way, it gives a lot on insight to working Coven practices which can influence the individual practitioners own workings and ritual whether that be solely or in coven settings
