Three sisters, tragic news, and a world of uncertainty.
Growing up on the Florida coast, in the small town of Parrish, the Flannery triplets were inseparable. Through thick and thin they were by each other's side, and if asked, 'Who is your best friend?' Fiona, Gisele, and Annie would answer without hesitation, 'I have two best friends. My sisters.' Along with their half-Irish, half-Cuban father, Riel, and their used-to-be beauty queen mother, Diana, the five of them made up a tight-knit family that nobody thought could be unraveled. When the sisters grew apart in college, however, each of them embarked on very different paths.
On the eve of their fortieth birthday, the Flannery sisters receive a call from their mother—Their father is sick. The triplets rush to their hometown to help out in any way they can. Swimming in a sea of uncertainty, these sisters must adopt the role of caretakers for their ailing father and their overwhelmed mother, all while attempting to keep their personal lives from bleeding over.
Thrown together again in their childhood bedroom, and grappling with a family crisis, Fiona, Gisele, and Annie find themselves reenacting decades-old sibling squabbles—picking sides, and drawing lines, just like they did when they were teenagers. To make matters worse, despite their valiant efforts, it seems the trials of their personal lives stowed away in their bags and followed each of them all the way down to South Florida.
Navigating the rocky waters of a budding romance, work catastrophes, and a bitter betrayal, these triplets soon learn that no matter how hard they try, there is simply no way to keep the personal apart from the familial. The only question is, when sisterly connection is what they need the most, will the Flannery sisters be able to rebuild the bridges that were once between them?
Honestly, this would have been a 5-star review if the 6 books in this series were combined into one. These are not individual books. They are a continuation of the same story. It feels as if it was done this way for profits. Even at $1.99 per book...that puts the cost at almost $12 which rivals best-selling authors. Publishing parts of one story like this is disingenuous. All together, it was a great story. However, I will think twice about even starting a series with this author in the future.
Goodbyes are the hardest, but the sisters pull together, and they give their dad the party he deserves. Annie finally talks to Neal about her suspicions, Fiona and Tajo figure out what they are to each other and Gisele makes some changes to her work/life ratio. The once distance sisters grow closer as they are the for their parents at this difficult time.
I loved everything about this series, and am sad that it’s ended,
I don't usually do this but I think it is important. 50 pages is not book . At vest UT us a chapter . it is misleading and if I had to pay for it is be very angry. All in all, bit a bad story but I would not gave been willing to pay 6.00 for it. That's all. You can't answer me because the e-mail doesn't work.
A book has a beginning a middle and an end. Each "book" in this series was a part of a book. I did not appreciate having to buy all 6 installments in order to find out how it ended. By the end, I really didn't care. I won't be purchasing any more books by this author unless she has one book, not a series
I was really crushed that the books were so short - split up; however, I just admit they tied together nicely with a lovely short of family & love !!!! Priorities !!!!. That's how it works!!🤗
This family is awesome! Everyone has their own personalities. Everyone had gMod their share of issues. But by Book 6, they had all resolved. Unfortunately, Riel Sr was gone. It was so nice of Gisele to take their Mom
I loved the Flannery sisters and the entire clan! Great read. Loved the family dynamic. Couldn't get through each book fast enough!! Kudos to Hazel!!!😊😊😊
I love happy endings. The Ironic thing is, my family & I are going to have a ‘Celebration of Life’ party in a couple of weeks. It was nice to read about one.
