I couldn't get into this. The dialogue was immature while at the same time having a Neon Genesis Evangelion vibe to it. Except the fighting robots surfed airwaves. The story picked up near the end and I'd give the next volume a try but not at this point.

I remember reading this manga as a kid, and I was so obsessed with it. I am going over the anime now, and I feel like it's more than a chore to watch it as it is a sentimental and boring show with pretentious characters without any distinct personality, and nothing really to look forward to but to end it, and I am only 5 episodes away.
The manga is anything but that. Balanced, more mature, and the characters are nuanced and appealing, in fact, lovable and often admirable, and most of all, always human which is something that can be rarely achieved in animanga.
Eureka Seven is a story about a young boy living in a small town that's quiet and peaceful, and therefore missing out on all the action. The action, not obviously, being a war waged between the military and a guerilla group called Geckkou-Go. The boy considers them his idols and discovers one day that they are in need of his grandfather's help, to which his grandfather grants him leave from the garage to go on that adventure. As you can see, a boisterous adventure of youth in love and war. What I really love in this manga is the sincerity of both sides of the fight, both trying to tackle a real problem, both providing two solutions which no one knows to be viable. There are no evil characters even though Dewey seems to be so, but only people who want to fix the problem in this way or that. It's a wonderful manga, and I'm looking forward to finishing my homework and reading the second volume.

Ouuff que Gantz cé trash et pesant par boute, excellent mais j’en ai de la difficulté a digéré des moment de l’histoire. Mais bon, je prend un petit break et je pourrai finir la série par la suite. Mon break s’appel Eureka Seven. Manga très sympathique de sc-fiction qui a pour défaut d’être l’adaptation d’un animé qui doit être incoyable. J’ai tout de même apprécié ma lecture mais plusieurs défaut en fait une série en dessous de mes meilleurs titres.
L’Histoire est celle d’un jeune garçon, fils d’un héro de guerre, qui s’emmerde. Un jour une fille dans un Mech (robot géant) débarque et à partir de ce moment la vie du garçon bascule dans un combat pour la survie de l’humanité. Du côté de l’histoire le tout est assez fluide, mais vu que c’est une adaptation d’un animé, on voit que l’auteur s’est contenté des temps forts et à du sacrifié de la mise en place pour rentrer tout ça dans ses cases. A cause de ça l’histoire semble bouger trop vite par moment et devient aussi confuse. Pas assez pour décrocher, mais suffisament pour que sa fasse perdre des points à cette série. Je dois cependant dire que les 2 derniers volumes sont extrêmement bon et mérite la lecture a eux seul.
Au niveau du dessin, c’est très plaisant sans pour autant être magistralement dans les meilleurs. Sauf que l’auteur a un style bien a lui (ou a elle car je crois que c’est une femme). Le seul problème, en fait gros problème, c’est que les scènes d’action sont vraiment peu élaboré et assez difficile à savoir ce qui se passe vraiment. Encore un point où l’animé doit briller plus que le manga. D’un certain point de vue l’histoire se compare à un poême épique sur une apocalypse, donc sur ce point l’action devient donc très secondaire, mais du côté réel d’un lecteur c’est assez frustrant de regarder une page pendant 5 minutes juste pour comprendre ce qui se passe.
Dernier gâchi, c’est le monde. On aurait aimer en savoir plus, avoir plus de background. Le monde semble riche d’histoire passé et de philosophie mais on est laissé carrément sur notre faim. Le monde semblait intéressant a découvrir et à en apprendre plus mais trop de chose restent inexpliqué et au final plusieurs personnages manquent à l’appel. On aurait dit que l’auteur était pogné à faire juste 6 volumes. Sinon encore une fois quel gâchi, mais étant inspiré d’un animé il est possible que là aussi on voit ce gâchi.
En outre, Eureka 7 c’est un poeme, plein de vie et d’émotions. L’action y est confuse et les dessin inégaux. Le monde manque d’étoffe et l’histoire se raconte malheureusement trop vite. Mais, malgré tout ces défaut, je recommande la lecture de ce manga car il traite de sujet intéressants et le final vaut l’investissement. Les deux derniers volumes m’ont aspiré comme une éponge dans un final intense et épique. A cause de tous ses défaut je ne peux donner plus de 3 étoiles a ce manga, mais je peux dire qu’il est le roi des 3 étoiles et mérite d’être lu. It's not often that an anime girl is too cute for me to handle, but Eureka is that girl. She's such an absolute sweetheart that watching her go through everything in this series is tough. I wish Renton wasn't such a doofus. 5/5

I was so bored with this. I finished it and I honestly can't remember anything about it. All I can say is the art style is nice.

Eureka Seven, a pesar de las continuas pegas que le pueda poner, es un manga entretenido. Pero también insuficiente. Se nota demasiado que es un resumen de una historia mucho más extensa, lo que impide que trama y personajes puedan desarrollarse y se queda en un manga de mechas más, sin nada de especial.
Lo recomiendo para fans de los mechas, porque sin ser de lo mejorcito del género, te hace pasar un rato ameno. Eso sí, tal vez el anime merecería más vuestra atención, el cual no he visto pero seguro que es mucho más completo (lo que tampoco es que sea muy difícil).

So, I went into this expecting the anime in manga form. I couldn't have been more wrong. The story follows the same main plot(from what I remember) but there are a lot of differences! For example: Holland isn't an asshole, yet!
I am liking this manga thus far, Eureka is even more cute on paper, and her kids are just as annoying.
I really love the art style of this too! Though I say that for every manga I read!

Nuevo manga que empiezo. La verdad es que de principio, aparenta un manga bastante típico y tópico, con el típico protagonista y las típicas luchas de mechas. Eso sí, estoy descubriendo que las historias de mechas, mucho mejor en anime que en papel, que son mucho más espectaculares. Veremos qué tal avanza la historia.

I feel like this isn't the best start to a series as it doesn't explain a whole lot but fortunately I am familiar with the anime. This might be a turn off though for those unfamiliar with the basic story.

The art is absolutely beautiful and easy to follow and understand, which is always important in manga. I also love the characters and the world they're set it, and the plot looks interesting. I'm looking forward to reading more of it.

Seemed a bit similar to Bones' RahXephon, but quickly diverges at the end of the third story arc. It maintains the same eerie feel of RahXephon, but with some different plot twists.
