While Merry Little Love Story is the second book in the Reindeer Falls series, it can also be read and enjoyed as a standalone holiday novel! It's not rocket science, it's Reindeer Falls.
Michelle Collins used to love the week after Christmas. That was when Ryan Cross, rich kid from Boston, came to Reindeer Falls to spend a week with his great-aunt Dottie. From the ages of six to seventeen, with a suitcase full of video games and a childlike wonder for small-town traditions, Ryan stole her heart…at least until the year he stopped showing up.
Ten years later, when Ryan unexpectedly returns to town, and Heavenly Peace—Reindeer Falls’ beloved retirement community—finds itself at risk of shutting down, Michelle’s life is thrown for a loop. With a wild goose chase on behalf of Great-Aunt Dottie, and old feelings for Ryan creeping up like the Ghost of Christmas Past, will this holiday season bring a second chance at love…or the untimely end of an era?

An absolutely amazing holiday romance with lots of witty moments. Well-written, romantic, fun, and just enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. I loved all the characters, and the town of Reindeer Falls sounds just magical. Highly recommended!
Michelle works at the senior citizen community as the activities director but thanks to the new owner who wants to sell, she might have to search for a new job soon.
Ryan is coming back for a week in Reindeer Falls to help his great-aunt pack up and sell her house and he's more than happy to see Michelle again. They used to be thick as thieves when Ryan came for a visit every year, but it's been 10 years since they last saw each other. Ryan haven't lost his enthusiam for the Holidays but maybe he'll need help from matchmakers to convince Michelle they were made for each other.
I really enjoyed the first book in the series but this one didn't work for me because everything happened too fast so I didn't feel the chemistry between the MC and I couldn't believe how fast Ryan suddenly changed his mind.
This quirky Christmas book set in Reindeer Falls was terrific. I love small town stories where friends from different books are involved but the book itself can stand on its own legs. This book does not need to be read in order even though it is part of a series. Now to the writing. It was good. The characters were oddly believable! The twist and turns of the plot made me want to keep turning the page. I really enjoyed this light hearted story. I highly recommended this book!
I literally read this in a matter of hours , loved the storyline of a sweet small town with a tradition to put a ornament on a tree with your love. Michelle and Ryan's story is perfect for Christmas. The characters are wonderful , love Dottie and her antics esp when you find out why she is sending Michelle and Ryan on a wild goose chase .I would recommend this to everyone who loves a good heartwarming Christmas story.
This was again, a cute book. Beth Labonte is always able to capture the magic of a season or holiday in her books. But her 2nd books seem to be very easy to guess the plot from the beginning, hence the 3 stars. (3 1/2 stars, really) Cute, captures my attention, and quick and easy to read. Just what I need during the busy holidays! I look forward to reading the book about Emma; hopefully in book 3, since we had Caitlin in book 1 and Michelle in book 2.
i read the first book a few books prior and really enjoyed it so i figured i needed to also read this story too while it was still fresh in my mind and during the holidays. i enjoyed this story just as much because once again i love small-town romances/ friends-to-love stories/ second chance love stories and this book also had all three in addition to being a holiday story. another quick light holiday read that kept me so interested, i read it in one day.
Welcome to Reindeer Falls where the whole town is crazy for Christmas and just plain crazy. The goings on have already been going on between Shane and Caity, now Michelle and Ryan are having their own romantic festivities . Great town and fun characters.
This is a fun romance novel. I recommend it to anyone wanting to read a love story set in the winter time. You don't even have to celebrate Christmas to love the book.
This was another fun and cute holiday story. It is set in the small town of Reindeer Falls. I enjoy both the characters and the storyline that Ms. Labonte writes about in this series.
Was confusing start as I thought this book was about Book #1s Caitlin and Shane...Little bit more of a roller coaster of small town romance, but all worked out in the end!
Disappointing sequel to Love Notes in Reindeer Falls. The main characters were boring and Ryan seemed like Buddy in Elf—not sexy. I hope there will be a book for Emma and the series can be redeemed
This was a cute Christmas love story. The author pulls you in and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. Need more from this author.
This was a cute book. Great Christmas atmosphere, great chemistry between the characters and a small town that is churning and yet annoying in its quirkiness. Ha. I really enjoyed this one.
this is a cute second chance romance. if you like hallmark movies you'll like this book. this book also contains a corky great aunt! the narrator and author both did a good job with this book.
This was a cute festive read - probably closer to a 2.5! I loved the Christmas vibes, but I wasn’t thrilled with the pace of the novel or the main characters. The first one in the series is still worth the read, though!
Just as cute as the first one! I really love how the characters work through their issues and come to resolutions. A very good happy story for the Hollidays!
