The members of Mystic Caravan have Georgia on their minds as they land in Savannah … and immediately find trouble.

In a city full of ghosts, Poet Parker expects a few magical things to happen, but when an evil cult sacrifices a young woman on the beach next to their camp, things take a turn nobody was expecting. Thankfully, she’s not alone for this fight.

Zoe Lake-Winters is considered the most powerful mage in existence. She’s brash, full of herself, and ready for a brawl. When she and her husband bring their daughter to the circus, Poet is immediately intrigued. She can feel the power rippling off Zoe, and it’s the sort of power that can force a reckoning.

The cult has magic, but it’s not enough to frighten Poet. It’s what they’re protecting that has everybody in a tizzy. It seems there’s a door to another plane, and the enemy trying to cross over to a world they were driven from is significant.

With Zoe and her mouthy daughter Sami on the prowl, Mystic Caravan is in a tumultuous state. On top of her normal worries, Poet also has to contend with her boyfriend Kade Denton, who is delighted to have another mage to learn from even as he struggles to trust his new abilities.

Magic is might, and there’s magic bubbling at every corner of Mystic Caravan. That’s a good thing because for the final fight they’re going to need every ounce of it they can muster.

Worlds are about to collide, and nobody will ever be the same again.

Great!

Years ago I read the Covenant College mysteries and as time went on reading Avery Shaw etc., I almost forgot about them. Thank goodness for great crossovers. Now I have more to go back and re-read.

Interesting story

This was an interesting storyline. There was talk about gates, reapers and other stuff that was brought up in other AML series too. This combination and story plot could make for an interesting twist down the road, if it’s handled well. Having it cross several series might work, but could also blow up in the author’s face if not handled well. I hope for the best, but crossover stories aren’t easy, and just because the Marvel movies seem to make it work, doesn’t mean everyone should do similar examples.

Adding in the Winters clan to this story was fun, though I hope that this crossover line doesn’t happen all the time. Each series should be able to stand on its own, and shouldn’t need cameos in every series. That it took so long to bring up that the Mystic Caravan gang knows and has worked with Izzy and the Grimlocks recently, as has the Winters family, was too drawn out. Once Detroit was mentioned along with Reapers and that they don’t handle soul crossing in the Savannah area, I would have expected both groups to mention they were familiar with he Grimlock Reapers and compare notes. That it didn’t really occur until the video chat with Paris and Izzy, when the story was almost complete wasn’t believable.

Since they both weren’t even certain that Reapers still work in the area, one of the first things either should have said, I need to contact some Reaper friends and find out what is the truth about such a rumor. Also it’s unlikely there aren’t Reapers in the area, because if there wasn’t, that would mean all people’s deaths would result in a ghost and that would quickly overwhelm the area in just a few generations of deaths.

The villains for this go around weren’t great. The cult concept was easy to accept, but that the good Christian valued members were willing to resort to murder wasn’t. There are always going to be people, religious or not that are willing to kill, but that so many in the cult were able to look the other way when it involved killing very young women, basically still girls by using violent blood-magic rites, that I had a hard time accepting. I think it would have been better if the Leviathans had modified these cultists to no longer see reality as it was or they were blanking their minds would have been a better premise for the killing aspect. Killing is hard enough, violent ritualistic blood rites would not be something anyone could just do, you’d need truly evil beings or sociopaths for that.

I also found it a tad unrealistic that Kade would have a stronger healing ability then Max. Max has had many years more skill and practice, yet Kade was more powerful in this respect, and never even had an inkling before the Winters women showed that it was possible for a Mage to have this power.

Overall it wasn’t a bad story, it had fun moments but there were some unrealistic twists and turns that detracted from it too.

More crossover heaven!! The best yet..

When Poet and Mystic Circus crew pull into Savannah for their last stop before season ends Kade is on edge.. still stumbling to learn how to use his Mage powers he's thrown by the number of ghosts along the river. Poet explains about Savannah's past dealings with a crossroads demon which has blocked reapers from working in the historic city but Kade is still uneasy.

When they later stumble across a bizarre ritual being carried out along the rivers edge they decide to activate the dreamcatcher and leave the robe clad group to themselves. The following morning a young girls body is found engraved with runes and while the detective has no concerns that they are involved he only reveals that several other young women are missing and ignores their questions.

Naida and Nixie are waiting for their cousin, Pemberley to visit for a family reunion with some friends of his who just happen to be Zoe and Aric Winter's holidaying with daughter Sami, Kade is drawn to Zoe as they recognise each others power instinctively.

As more weird brushes with the robed cultists occur including a meeting with their apparent leader Celeste it's obvious that they all need to join forces and stop Celeste in her tracks. Celeste appears powerful but there's something off about her inability to see that Zoe is a Mage, not just any old Mage either, but the most powerful one.

As Sami's behaviour keeps you laughing as she plays off her parents and friends to great effect follow Poet, Zoe, Kade, Aric and the rest of Mystic Circus as they take on an unseen enemy and fight to the death.. can they rescue two of their own and save the city from impending doom?!

Love the series crossovers

I have inhaled this series, Witches of the Midwest & Charlie Rhodes like candy on Halloween. The characters are great and the plots are fast moving and engaging.
My complaint with the books is in the editing. Places from prior stories get mixed up, order of events and timelines are sometimes sloppy, characters get added then forgotten, basic words and phrases misused. Under the heading of HUM: who drives the RV? How do they have water and electricity to the trailers so fast? One book says that 50 people work for the circus another say over 150. After 8-10 books the janitorial, food vendors, ticket takers get added as a 4th wing of trailers, but they were never mentioned before or after. I'm left to assume that the books are getting released before any serious editing can be done. Don't think I love the series less due to the errors, I railed for hours about a major geography error in a James Patterson novel. He also fails the editing and fact checking, test. Patterson has a lot more highly paid people to prevent those sorts of faux paux and other oversights, so Amanda gets a limited pass.

The Winters family go to the circus.

Zoe Lake Winters her husband Aric and daughter Sami are some of the best writing Ms Lee has done, the Covenant College series which featured them ran for fourteen books. This last year they are back appearing in other series —- the Grimlocks—— Charlie Rhodes etc,—— as they travel around America. Wherever they go they stumble upon trouble and this book is no exception. There’s a cult kidnapping women and torturing them for some magical purpose. Zoe, Aric and Sami are determined to help Poet, Luke, Cole and the other magical beings who make the circus their home find answers and stop whatever is going on in Savannah. Sammi Winters is a really fun character she’s fourteen now discovering boys and making her dads hair turn grey, she has her mother’s sass and snark but also a good heart ————- oh and she also happens to be one of the most powerful magical beings on the planet. It’s great getting to see her grow up while making all these new friends.

Extraordinary supernatural cozy mystery series

This is an extraordinary supernatural cozy mystery/urban fantasy adventure series. A traveling circus that travels around the country entertaining the public. Most of the performers in the circus are supernatural in one way or another. Except for the clowns in the midway. The travel around the country performing during the day and in the evening search out and destroy or end evil by supernatural beings or just evil humans. They use magic and other supernatural tools to attract evil and then destroy it. In this particular story we get a crossover event with Zoe Eric and Sammy from the covenant college series. So not only do you get the fun of the normal adventures of the mystic caravan circus you also get the battle hardened snark Zoe Winters and her family as well as Poet Parker and the rest of the mystic caravan crew in a battle against a new enemy in a new town. Read on and find out what happens. You will never be disappointed and always entertained. Check it out

This was a very easy read and the mix of snark, sass and adventure was great. I was a little disappointed that the ending didn't really conclude this story line because I wanted to see Sami's big debut, so it was kind of a cliffhanger.
I think this is the first story where they introduced new characters and they were very involved with these characters, compared to when they introduced the witches in a previous story which just happens to a be a crossover from one of the author's other series and they didn't get as involved with that group of characters. We were basically engulfed in these new characters more than the main characters. But they talked about the pixie twins' cousin Pemberley and he was barely in the story, not quite sure what the point of this big buildup to him was when he barely even spoke in the story.
Overall it was a good ride and I recommend it.

Poet meets Zoe

If I could give this a higher rating I would. A page turner with plenty of drama, laughs and shading things as well. Mystic Caravan arrives at their last stop before having a much needed down time. What awaits them is something they cannot fathom and that is a first. Then we have an encounter that has Poet on edge.
Now we get to have Zoe, Aric and Sami Winters as well and it is what puts the book over the top. Love Sami and her mouth. There seems to be trouble coming and help is needed on all fronts. Girls go missing and cult members are showing up without tripping the dream catcher. How? What is behind the cult and what happens when there is powerful magic in one place. Time to read and enjoy.

Some super-powered people visit the caravan and of course trouble finds them all as girls have been disappearing and seems to be a cult

What I enjoyed:
* I really liked Zoe, Aric and Sammi, however I feel this book gave away too much of the plot of their own books
* Nice to see some Poet and Cole bonding
*

What could be better:
* I was expecting to see/learn more about Pemberly after the lead up, but he is barely in it, the same with the pixie twins. I also miss Poet and Luke time. With all these cross-overs there isn't enough time for the regulars.
* The circus part of this series is becoming less believable as the fights become more visible

One of my favorite books in this series. I love the crossover from the covenant series and seeing how those characters have matured and the interactions between both groups. Especially the genuine desire to save people they've never met, albeit with different beliefs on how far they should go. Another snarky, funny, intriguing mystery that can only be solved by work and personal risks. The author does a fantastic job of researching the locations so you get a taste of the city that feels personal. The crossovers are so well coordinated that they seem effortless, like real people, despite the complexity of blending 2 different storylines.

5 Star FAVORITE/LOVE IT Kindle Unlimited Read

Another great adventure from author Amanda M. Lee! Even better better, she brought back some favorite characters from other series in this installment as well!

I absolutely adore Zoe, Aric, and Sammi. Having them drop in for a visit while tagging along with their Cupid wedding coordinator was humorous and thrilling. Not to mention we had a visit from the gatekeeper herself. Bringing these characters back for a visit is interesting.

I feel like soon there will be a coming together of all Amanda M. Lee character for one ultimate ending

love them

I love Sami and Zoe, and I always find it enjoyable when they merge with other characters. I clearly missed a short book between this book and book 10. If you haven’t read this yet, go back and check out that one first. people always want power, and when they get it, they just want more. They never want to relinquish what they have, but choose only to increase it, and will use anyone to get what they want. It reminds me of Donald Trump saying he wants to be dictator for just one day. if he or men in general, or even people in general have ever willingly given up power that they received, especially when they broke the law to get it.

Huh?

This one left me confused. I enjoyed the crossover even though I haven't read the Covenant books. I have been introduced to Zoe and her Family in other crossovers, however. My biggest issue was the prologue. Who was Clara? What was the point of that particular beginning? I feel like I missed something and kept waiting for Clara to pop up again. Bad editing as well. I don't take AML's books too seriously, I read them to escape reality a bit. BUT, I do expect them to follow some type of logic. With this one, it felt like a cliffhanger. I'm new to this particular series so maybe the answers are in the next few books.

Meet Poet and mystic caravan circus they are a funny and snarky at the best of times add in Zoe Lake Winters, Aric & Sami and you have none stop fun and more snark than ever. This has to be one of my favourite cross overs it had me chuckling away to myself especially with Sami's lists of hotness for the men of mystic caravan. Very enjoyable.

Very exciting and enjoyable. Not fond of the constant "I just... ". My husband told me the writer is being conversational, so I ignore it. This heroine and her relationship with her boyfriend, is my favorite of this author's different series. This boyfriend (usually) trusts in her proven abilities and isn't as overprotective. In some of her other series, the heroines either rant too much about nothing, constantly whine like children, or need verbal reassurance that their boyfriends love them. I prefer more action, less talk and this series delivers that.

Another great read, I just can't get enough, I want more. Please write more books, physical books not just online ones, I don't read on a computer well and I don't have audible. But I just like the feel of the book in my hand. Can't wait, You are a terrific writer, love love this series, got to try your others.

This book brings in another mage to play and another wolf shifter and more. This brings about some mistrust at the beginning but as things get rougher and rougher and girls go missing, they will have to work together if they plan on surviving.

A new favorite!

This book in series quickly became my favourite. I absolutely love every character in this book. Nelly cracks me up and never disappoints. We got a taste of the old Zoe and Kade's magic is ever developing. Which I, funny and there is never a dull moment when she is near. I laughed so much throughout the entire book. Lots of battles, lots of fun. Highly recommend. Narrator did a great job.

My favorite so far!

Sami, Zoe and Aric join Poet and the circus for a wild adventure. This one was awesome I absolutely love Zoe and Aric and mixing them with this crowd was funny and action packed. Sami is growing up to be a better version of her mother and had me laughing throughout. I cannot wait for her adventures when she's grown up. Home Run, knocked it outta the park with this one!

Poet Parker meets Zoe Lake-Winters!!
This was always going to be a truly awesome and somewhat explosive cross-over and I was not disappointed this story was such a treat...
I adore Sammy so much and I love how she helped Kade with his healing.
Poet is always amazing,y magical and working as a team more and more with her circus family just makes her even more awesome, when she works with Zoe as well?? That’s just beyond brilliant.

This story was an amazing family adventure and true teamwork.

I enjoy this series and the changing locations. The characters are quirky and fun. This book had a crossover with Zoe Lake Winters. I like the crossovers okay. The mystery in this one was dark with robed figures and young women being sacrificed. The story held my interest. The mystery was resolved and groundwork was laid for Zoe and Ariic's next crossover to Moonstone Bay. I look forward to both Moonstone Bay and the next caravan stop for their winter break.

mages, psychics,Demons

Poet and Kade have another wild adventure in Savannah Georgia. This time they meet Zoe, aric and daughter Sami.. haven’t read anything on her in quite a while or that family so it’s good to have them in the mix. Starts out with a cult who thinks that the circus is for freaks and they need to clean the world of them. The book was fast paced and over before I knew it but I enjoyed it another good book with the Mystic Caravan circus. 🎈

crossover

I enjoy the crossovers, but Zoe is more than a little bit scary.
I missed this one in my reading list so I’m glad that it is able to stand alone.
Also more story and less love talk is a bonus.
The Caravan is getting stronger too, and I’m sure they are going to need that.
I will suggest that you read this series in order, because of the character development, and there are tie ins with the other series. I feel und Mystic Caravan through a Charlie Rhodes book.

Another Enjoyable Crossover Book

Mystic Circus goes to Savannah, Georgia. Zoe Lake Winters, Alric, and Sami go to Savannah with Zoe and Alric's former wedding planner who is related to Nadia and Nixie.

Throw in a homocidal cult and a Gate or two and mayhem is bound to happen. Lots of action, witty dialog, and snark.

Eagerly awaiting the next book.

Never ever disappointed

I love love love when the author does these crossovers! She never disappoints, looking forward to more adventures. I especially enjoy that the mystic caravan series has the darkness and the lightness at the same time. Personally I'm a massive fan of snark and wouldn't mind a little bit more but that's what her other books are for. 😃

Awesome crossover

It's so awesome to see the circus crew fighting alongside Zoe and family. I love that they all know the Grimlocks too. All we need know is a certain family of witches and a trip to New Orleans or Moonstone Bay to have even more fun. Love all of Amanda's books. Great fun!

Fabulous

Extremely entertaining. Sami is always fun and it was great to see the interactions between the Covenant crew and Mystic.
Scout was mentioned, as well as the Grimlocks; Paris and Izzy made a cameo in a video call. A bunch of action, humor, and snark. All around great story.

Action filled, exciting book!

Wow! I love these books but this one is so filled with action and twists that it’s the best crossover book yet! I love Poet and her team, but toss in a snarky mage, shifter and mini mage/shifter and the magic really explodes! Who wouldn’t want to see this group in action!

Fantastic Crossover!

Love the interactions with all these characters. The Winters family is a hoot! Snark in spades! Watching Sami mature has been an enjoyable ride! Her ranking of the males is hilarious. Circus theme is so unique to begin with and to weave this crossover flawlessly is a credit to this author.

Freaking Awesome!

Great crossover - loved getting more story about these characters. The author did a nice job of integrating all of my favorites into the story. I would have preferred a little more detail/history on the location but that could be because I’ve always wanted to visit.
