This 3-0, is a thrilling, edge of your seat, true account about a Sergeant and his team of cops, not only going head to head with dirty cops, in the largest Police Department in the world, but they also bring a community together, while bringing crime down. It gives you an inside look at the politics, pressure and stress of how good cops deal with the bad cops. It's a good vs. evil account and at the same time, the author brings you along the adventures in such descriptive ways that as the reader you can imagine yourself being present with the Sergeant and all those involved. It's an easy read that once you start you will not be able to put it down.

A great story that brought me back to the crime and violence that was prevalent in the 1990’s of New York City. This author not only places you side be side with him. But also gives the reader an inside glance into the dangers of police work and frustrations of police politics. All the while as he protects his team. An honest account of what it must have been like to work in the 3-0. The great police officers of this precinct far outnumbered any of the bad.

I've been interested in policing, police procedurals, and real life policing for a long time. When I came across this title, it sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. This book tells the story of both police corruption and the story of what the good guys—men and women—do each and every day to protect and serve, and the struggles they encounter in doing so. It is not an easy job. I'm so glad we have people like this author, dedicated to his community.

It is Absolutely a must read!!! An intriguing, page turning educating story. That reveals life impacting events and stresses of NYPD Officers. Moreover, about values, integrity, character and community policing as a whole.
Anyone thinking about law enforcement should read this book first.

RIVETING! EXCITING! TURN PAGER!
This book was a turn pager. Once I started reading it I couldn't place it down. It was very informative, descriptive and I felt I was there on the scene. I felt these officers pain. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I heard about this fantastic book through a friend. I opened the book expecting one thing and then it took me for a ride where I couldn’t place the book down! Easy reading and truly a book I would highly recommend!

The Thirty Was Dirty
A very personal police memoir by who I am certain was an outstanding cop. He is entitled to his perspective on the subject matter but I would take issue with him on many subjects. From personal experience Internal
