As this is an ongoing saga, to limit on spoilers I will only give the bare minimum, if anything at all about each volume's story. Our cast are back in the real world, where there Gantz experiences have already change their perspective, and for one of them even more! Even the 'school manga' parts of this volume have dark undertones. I feel that the creators of TV show LOST must have read this at one time, essentially we have multi-layered yet to be fully explained ongoing mysteries that alongside our protagonist we strive to know to what's really going, and ore essentially why. The sole downside is the weird exploitation of the teenage female form by the artist which is more teen-lust than any sort of real erotica. One could say that the cast is teens and so is the target audience, I would say that never underestimate younger audiences. This volume is perceived as one of the weakest with Gantz only playing a reduced part, yet for me the quality still wins through, an 8 out of 12, yet another Four Stars.

This manga is so cool it deals with the protagonists normal life and of course the incredible action.
It's utterly and absolutely sexy.
I have taken a few peeks at some advanced volumes and the action is going to only get better.
I am actually waiting for the turning point in the action to give it the whole five stars.

Gantz is a interesting series throughout. Volume 3 is probably one of the weaker volumes yet it still contains some awesome moments. Kei and crew made it and they're trying to adjust to normal life again. It's not easy and nothing seems right but they try their best. That's when Kei's crush wants to live with him as a...pet! You guessed. Welcome to Japan. Also a new game is about to begin at the end that starts to really get this series going again.
What I liked: Kei is a dumbass. He is rude, he thinks of only fucking, and he's kind of a asshole. However, this is the Kei of the start. The selfish prick. I love watching him slowly grow into something new. You see the start but just that so far. I also really enjoyed the last few chapters. It really ramps up and the stakes feel high when someone is murdered and someone is missing their main weapon. Also the art is still top notch.
What I didn't like: Kei is really pathetic here. Also the street thug part was kind of dumb. I also think this series has too much fan service tits. Like so much tits even I'm like "Come on now" and I love tits!

Ok… like 90% of this is just teenage masturbatory fantasy, BUT the story is actually starting to pull me in. It’s repetitive, but I kind of want to see where this is going.

Tras haber regresado a “su vida normal” después del sangriento juego de Gantz, Kurono, Katou y la chica cuyo nombre jamás recuerdo, experimentan una serie de momentos extraños:
Kurono utiliza su traje para defenderse de unos bullies, mientras que la chica ve a una persona idéntica a ella misma, viviendo su misma vida (como si fuera un clon) y decide huir de casa. Katou, por su parte, sigue siendo un adolescente que no soporta las injusticias, aunque parece ser un imán para los problemas. Así que, es como si nada hubiera cambiado, pero al mismo tiempo todo fuese diferente.
En la última parte del volumen, un nuevo reto comienza y vuelven a ser llamados por el misterioso Gantz, junto a un puñado de participantes nuevos. Pero, ¿servirá de algo conocer las reglas de Gantz? ¿lograrán sobrevivir otra vez?
En fin, Kurono sigue siendo un protagonista que ni me va ni me viene, pero con respecto a Katou, la cosa cambia porque es un personaje que me gustó muchísimo desde el inicio. El dibujo va mejorando poco a poco y ciertamente se lee muy rápido. Sin embargo, hay que hacerse de la vista gorda con los desnudosy las tetas al aire sin sentido, para poder disfrutar la historia como tal.
Este volumen contiene los capítulos 23 – 34.

Este tomo en especifíco no me gustó realmente. A diferencia de otras personas no tengo ningún problema con el fan-service pero sinceramente me estoy cansando de ver a Kishimoto desnuda cada tres páginas junto con su estúpida y sosa personalidad.
Este tomo me hizo replantear el querer seguir con los siguientes volumenes.

This was almost a DNF volume for me. Without the excitement of Gantz and the game, we are left with the horny, hapless adolescent life of Kei. Needless to say his teenage drama did not an engaging read make. The story of the bullies and the pseudo love triangle of Kei, Kato, and Naked Suicide Girl where just not interesting. Also, the disgusting fan service got kicked up to 11 when the only female in the series decided to become the pet.of the perpetually, disgustingly horny Kei. Although I want to give up on the series I've been encouraged to continue as it supposed to improve substantially. The volume ends in a cliffhanger with our main protagonists dragged back unexpectedly into the game.

Three days and as many volumes. This one is mostly a bunch of lame teenage angst, and embarrassingly sexist behavior from the male characters. It doesn't get good until the last couple chapters when Gantz is back in the picture.
I have been dodging the problematic treatment of women in this series, which numerous other reviewers have written about in spades. And I'm going to continue to do so, because this review was about to get way too confessional. Let's just say that as a feminist, this series is making me feel very conflicted, even as I enjoy the science-fiction and weird aspects of the story, and the beautifully rendered graphic violence. I've read elsewhere that the author develops a much more enlightened attitude later in the series, and I'm actually looking forward to finding out if that is true.

Uno de los peores volúmenes de la obra, si no el peor.
Los protagonistas ganan un respiro del horror de la trama principal, cosa que ocurre por diseño periódicamente (de manera muy conveniente para el autor, que puede introducir rellenos, desarrollar la vida normal de los personajes y alargar la serie).
Vemos aquí al protagonista como un salido al que prácticamente lo único que le interesa de su contrapartida femenina es echar su primer polvo (a pesar de que ella lo está pasando realmente mal). No hay crítica a su actitud aquí, aunque el personaje evolucionará en los próximos volúmenes. Cuando lo leí hace años tampoco me pareció tan mal, a fin de cuentas es la realidad de un adolescente salido. Pero el comportamiento de la chica, ofreciéndose como "mascota" del protagonista, aun teniendo una cierta explicación, es injustificable e increíble: todo vale con tal de enseñar tetas sudorosas cada tres viñetas. Lo que vemos es abuso sexual (él trata de forzar el sexo porque ella necesita vivir con él) expuesto de manera acrítica, y aceptado por la víctima.
Otro problema: el único gay que aparece es un matón "violador de culos".
Al final del volumen, la historia principal se retoma y hay un par de giros interesantes.

Realmente insufrible. En apenas 3 tomos tratan de violar a la protagonista femenina nada menos que 2 veces, por no hablar del abuso de Kei, que está más salido que el pico de una esquina y resulta bastante desagradable. Incluso el perro participa en el acoso sexual. Kishimoto no tiene personalidad propia, es un personaje florero, puesta ahí para hacer fanservice al final de cada capítulo y para montar un triángulo amoroso. Y la cosa no se queda ahí, este manga no solo es machista. El único personaje gay es un violador, y toda referencia a los gays es del mismo tipo.
No me disgusta la trama, pero todo lo demás me parece insoportable. Me estoy planteando abandonar la serie.

В третьому томі акцент частково змістили на звичайне життя героїв, щоб краще їх розкрити та додати обставин. І, знається, більш-менш нормально себе почуває лише Кей, хоча у нього й виникають проблеми зі шкільною гопотою. Коротше, гантз-костюм додав впевненості та сили.
Масару все так само паладінствує, і у своїй школі також мав би мати проблеми з “бомондом”, але вирішив їх у свій спосіб, завдавши удару на випередження. А ще Масару живе у тітки на “пташиних правах”, і у нього є молодший брат.
З дівчинкою все важче, тому що вона виявилася повним клоном (бо оригінал вижив після самогубства). Але їй вдається підселитися до Кея у якості “домашньої тваринки” (“а ти ж не займаєшся сексом з домашніми тваринами, Кею?”). Конфлікт інтересів зрозумілий, думаю. Кей залишається підлітком, якого цікавить лише одне.
Ніші. Просто садист. Коли не треба вбивати прибульців, вбиває вуличних котів. Неприємно слідкувати за таким персонажем, але він тут поки єдиний, хто хоч у чомусь розбирається.
Звичайні школярі та гопота - тема, яку ще неодноразово будуть піднімати в цьому тайтлі. Тут можна було б тицьнути якусь інфу по булінгу у світі і в Японії зокрема, але залишимо це професійним оглядачам з їх професійним гуглом.
Лише під фінал тому нас знайомлять з новими гантзерами, а всю сесію полювання перенесли у наступний том. В цілому, сюжет нової умовної арки викликає цікавість, але не вистачало основного дійства.

Se da un poco más de contexto sobre la vida de los 3 personajes principales y aparentemente la historia se repite y pareciera un juego de nunca acabar. Sigue el misterio, está bien, interesante, pero la verdad no soy de historias tan largas en las cuales tienes que leer más de 15 volúmenes para que más o menos valga la pena.
Además de que es desesperante la manera en la que el autor trata de forzar la trama para meter escenas en donde haya momentos de desnudos o relacionados con sexo. No tiene sentido. Una vez, ok, se entiende, pero trata de hacerlo cada dos o tres capítulos y sin aportar nada nuevo a la historia. Lo mismo con las escenas de peleas. En fin, se nota que está orientado a un público adolescente.
Por todo eso y más, yo creo que hasta aquí lo dejo. He leído que se pone más interesante después, pero siento que es lo mismo, leer todo un volumen que se pudo haber resumido en la mitad de páginas. Además me desespera que el autor siempre quiera dejarte enganchado sin cerrar partes de la trama.

Now, they will face a new mission; to kill a Tanaka Alien. The thing become f up when Kurono forgot his suit and he is the first one to face the alien. Nishi is a psychopath! Hahaha. He kill a cat and a man heartlessly.

Terminó la primera misión y sobrevivieron, ahora pueden regresar a sus vidas normales. SI CLARO ¡JA!
"Una nueva mañana comienza" y con esto una nueva misión: El Alien Sr. Tanaka (que parece una mezcla extraña entre el soldadito de plomo y pin & pon). Kato, con el fin de salvar tantas vidas como pueda, les enseña lo que sabe de Gantz: los trajes, las armas, el objetivo, pero Sr. Nishi ve esto con malos ojos y es el primero en ser enviado hacia afuera. La soberbia y el ego de Sr. Nishi son su propia soga al cuello muriendo en esta misión.
La revelación y parece que la única salvación para todos es el conseguir los 100 puntos: "Si los consigues, serán libres" Gracias Nishi. Pero vencer a los Aliens no es tan fácil, sobretodo si te enteras que existe un perímetro del cual no te puedes salir o te explota la cabeza y de que tienes que hacerlo dentro de un tiempo reglamentario.
¡Oh Dios! ¡Auxilio!

La historia se vuelve interesante, ¿Qué es Gantz? ¿Por qué había dos Kei? ¿Quiénes son esos alienígenas raros? ¿Cómo funcionan los trajes?
Sin embargo, todo esto pierde el sentido al ver a la chica, sus desnudos, su falta de personalidad, y aunque solo tuvo un momento memorable, cuando está acostada junto a Kei, y se desahoga al sentirse perdida en su existencia, se deja de lado con el precoz y urgido muchacho de 15 años que tiene a lado, un niño que solo piensa en lo buena que está, en sus enormes tetas, que la manosea aprovechándose de la situación... tan idiota y desesperante. Ni hablar del perro, que participa activamente en el abuso hacia la ella, es insoportable.
Aún no distingo si la chica realmente está caracterizada como una tonta que no le importa que la toquen, y solo sirve (como si fuera una cosa) por su increíble cuerpo para el morbo del lector... O si realmente tiene o va a tener un trasfondo.

Sí que se ve un poco más interesante, pero la atención que me llamó en este tomo desapareció con igual intensidad en el momento que el fan service se volvió algo excesivo. Entiendo que el fan service sea parte de Gantz, sin embargo a cada rato que se puede pasan a la chica esta desnuda (tampoco ayuda que tenga una personalidad tan tonta y cliché). Además personajes como Masaru, que al principio me gustaba bastante, ahora se me ha hecho casi igual de soso con el rollo de "salvaré a todos y pondré sus vidas antes que la mía sólo porque sí".
Estoy casi segura que hay algo importante / interesante en Gantz (o no sería tan reconocido), sólo espero que pase algo pronto o terminaré desechando las pocas expectativas que tenía sobre este manga.

While I'm liking the mystery surrounding Kei and Kato's deaths and the overall idea of Gantz, there was just way too much nudity in this volume. I'm all for mature ratings, but there is literally the same nude girl practically every chapter or chapter page, which took away from everything. Right now, to me, she's useless besides being a damsel and the meaning of her duplicate. I hope the next volume is more action related. I like giving any genre of mangas a chance if it has a good story, but there are some stereotypical things I get annoyed with.

I am ok with reading content that has r*pe in it, if it serves a purpose on the story (like if it's a drama, or something) but r*pe for the sake of fan service? Absolutely disgusting that a character's only personality is having a big breast as serving as m*sturbation material for readers who haven't touched grass in years. And the author misses no time in drawing boobs every panel he has.
If the story wasn't to intriguing I wouldn't be here, but there is a fine line. I get that this is a dark story, but it doesn't take how disgusting it is.

Mi problema con Gantz es la narrativa. Aún sin saber en detalle cuál es la idea principal de la historia, puedo ver que tiene potencial (no creo que tenga el fanbase que tiene por nada). Pero aún así, es inevitable pensar que el lenguaje, la extremada sexualización del personaje femenino y - en realidad- todo lo sexual no ayudan, si no, confunden aún más ésta idea que no es fácil de proyectar al lector.
Creo que continuaré leyendo el manga sólo para saber qué m*erda está pasando.

Quelques scènes concupiscentes, beaucoup plus de passages sur l'impossible retour à la réalité, avant de revenir voir Gantz avec ... une nouvelle équipe.
On assistera donc à nouveau à des scènes où des gens meurent, mais traitées peut-être avec plus de finesse que celle du premier tome (la tête de Keï qui vole, encore consciente, m'a un peu touché, je dois dire)

"Will you keep me as your pet?" Im gonna go ahead and say I don't really like her and I'm it's ok with me that she died but to me book 3 is kinda a low point at the start it has it's ups and downs and it's kinda down and kinda boring but still a good book that I like

Este tomo es básicamente desarrollo de personajes y presentación de algunos de los nuevos partcipantes de Ganrz. Kei Kurono continúa siendo un protagonista poco carismático, por decirlo de alguna manera.

Der 3. Teil ist etwas schwächer als die Vorgänger. Die ruhigen Momente passen nicht so recht zur restlichen Gewalt im Comic. Die Zeichnungen sind wie immer gut, nur sollte man in der Öffentlichkeit aufpassen wenn man nicht komisch angeschaut werden möchte.
