Delusional + Psychotic = Kelli & I don’t think I was ready for her. How much havoc can one person wreak! This drama & foolery goes back generations, so of course the kids are doomed. Every single character in this book had deadly & devastating secrets and as they were revealed, someone was bound to get hurt. The mayhem and destruction left many lives disrupted & in turmoil. GREATTT read with a crazy yet satisfying ending/conclusion.

My rating is more so for the drama within the book. I love a good messy story and that is exactly what you will get reading this. At times I felt like there was too much going on, but I wanted to know why everything occurred the way it did.

Kelli’s hatred and jealousy stems from an affair that happened years ago. The same affair left her with a deceased mother and a father who didn’t know she was alive and wanted nothing to do with her. When Kelli is given a stack of letters on her 13th birthday, Kelli put the plan in motion to avenge her mother and make her biological father suffer.

Simone is Kelli’s best friend. Simone is planning to marry the love of her life unbeknownst that he is having an affair with her best friend, Kelli.

The Jenkins family lives are turned upside down when Kelli decides to inform everyone that she is in fact Simone’s older sister.

This drama filled story had me saying “wtf” numerous times. 3.5⭐️

3.5 ⭐️ This was absolutely insane! The story was bonkers from the very beginning but the spice was overkill. The ending had me shocked!

Being that Kellita Harvety grew up without family I don’t understand instead of hating Simone why she didn’t embrace Simone. On the other hand I can see why she was jealous of Simone’s life. Kelli grew up feeling as if she was an unwanted child. She felt like Simone had it all. This book really was just a big circle of deception and lies that rooted from the older generations. The ending was unexpected. It was a drama filled ride.

Oh Em Geee

This series was beyond crazy!!! Everything I was not expecting. This author definitely put her all into this because it was so GOOD!!!
All the secrets, sex and betrayal! The Jenkins family smh what a family. Simone went through so much but she stood tall and fought for her family. Clarice I was not expecting that move but she did what she had to do.
That damn Kelli was something else. She was most definitely a demon. I understand what life did to her but she was obsessed and beyond jealous. There was no way around it Kelli had to go and I mean go permanently.
Emory was i don’t even know. He was like a child, yeah what he did was beyond wrong but he honestly loved Simone. I would have punished him too and that Simone did. Please get into this book because it will not disappoint

Hmmmm

This book.probably would have been a 8.5 if it didn't involve sex every 3rd paragraph. I'm definitely not a prude but a lot of the excessive sex was pointless. Then Simone cheated because Emory did. Okay! I understand the plotting against her father's friend but the other Dr giving her head was kinda nasty. Especially when she was described as a woman with so much class. I feel like Simone was extra forgiving when Sophia passed but in a sense kinda naive for thinking Kelli would change. Nonetheless it's an okay read with a few twists

What Did I Just Read???

Should’ve Chose Me: The Complete Series is so far over the top that I don’t know where to begin. It was too much of EVERYTHING!!! I kept reading to see what would happen and Octavia Grant didn’t disappoint with her surprises as my mouth was open more than once while reading. I was disappointed with the grammatical errors and had to get used to the the chapters going from past to present tense. Other than that, it’s a good but disturbing read.

I give Should’ve Chose Me: The Complete Series 4 stars!

Sick

Shame on me for finishing this... I know and love Ms Grant's style, but this book was a bit much. I only finished to see who would come out on top, but getting there was rough. Too much death, too much sex, too much evil.
Really needs editing, too. The scene changes weren't always obvious and all the switching back and forth between past and present was annoying. Periods were used instead of commas too often. This is my least favorite from this author.

The series delivered an unexpected whirlwind of drama, with a gripping tale of secrets, passion, and betrayal within the Jenkins family. Simone's resilience shines as she navigates through turmoil to protect her loved ones. Clarice's actions, though surprising, were necessary, while Kelli's jealousy leads to her downfall. Emory, despite his flaws shows genuine love for Simone. This book promises a compelling read filled with intense emotions and plot twists.

Page turner

This was a page turner for sure. So many twist and turns happened. Once you felt like the story was coming together something else happened. I can’t lie even tho Kelli was stirring up mess I felt bad for a lot as well. She just wanted to be loved. As much as Emory claimed he loved Simone no he didn’t. He loved the thought of her. I may be just as crazy as Keli because I wanted her to win in some sort of way even tho Simone was innocent.
