Four worlds rotated the sun, each with their own rules and regulations, divided by history, blood and death. Once upon a time, they were brought together for the chance of a better world. A common evil that roamed them all had to be defeated, in order to restore the way it once was. Beautiful.

Now in 800 BC, in a time when monsters ruled earth, sea and sky, that evil has returned. And another epic battle must occur. A battle so mighty, it would tear kingdoms apart. This battle was to take place in the land of the Vikings, as three people, a fearless Viking warrior, a cast out mermaid and a powerful fairy queen, must make an alliance to bring it all back together.

None of these worlds would ever be the same. No hearts would go untouched. Four once separated worlds, would now forever be connected, in a way that no one could have expected, making the way for future kingdoms.

I was provided an arc copy of this book for an honest review.
This book encapsulates the vibe of what a fantasy novel should be like. An epic journey? Check. A wide variety of mystical creatures and characters? Check. An epic ending that sets the stage for the next book? Check. Everything you could want in a fantasy novel is here and more! Add to that unforgettable twists that I never saw coming and you got a book that is well worth the time. If you're looking for your next fantasy novel or just a great novel in general, i highly recommend giving this book a read!

Readers’ Comments
“Although the cover is a bit unimaginative, the story is not. This is a good fantasy novel for teenagers. There´s plenty happening all the time and it ticks almost every fantasy box: monsters, growing evil, etc. I didn´t love the ending but I guess the author´s setting everything up for book 2.” Female reader, aged 15
“I always love books with Vikings in them, so this was perfect for me. Cool adventure, sort of slow in the middle, but gets better. Very exciting in parts, the author´s good at speech and even better describing fights!” Male reader, aged 13
“I thought the first chapter was slow with too much info dumping. But when the dark mermaid turned up, it got interesting. The story has a sort of epic feel to it, and I will try to find the next book. I think the author should work on pacing. He/she (I don´t know if Alaska is a boy or girl name) is best at suspense and describing the old setting.” Female reader, aged 16

To Sum It Up:
‘A thrilling fantasy adventure teenagers will enjoy.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards

This book is everything a fantasy novel should be and more! Prepare for an epic journey with a diverse cast of mystical creatures, unexpected turns, and a thrilling ending that sets the stage for the next installment. It's fast-paced, full of adventure, and will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The author expertly weaves in themes of friendship and respect amidst dangerous and uncertain circumstances. As the characters unravel secrets about their world and themselves, the reader is treated to stunning illustrations of the fantastical creatures they encounter. While the ending may have felt a bit abrupt, it only adds to the anticipation for what's to come in the sequel. Trust me, if you're in need of a captivating YA fantasy read, look no further than Unbreakable. You won't be disappointed!

Unbreakable is a great YA fantasy. Fast-paced and filled with adventure, the story brings Vikings, mermaids, and fairies together – and apart - in a world worth reading. Friendship and respect are worked into the book, but circumstances jeopardize what the characters were able to build. It was interesting to follow the characters as they discovered secrets of that world as well as truths about themselves. I loved the illustrations of creatures they met along the way. Despite feeling like the book ended a bit abruptly, I think there’s a nice setting for a sequel.

I loved this book so much. I found it to be such a quick an easy read. If you can't tell by now I love fantasy books and this one just ticked all the boxes for me.

There was Mermaids, Fairies, witches and many other mythical creatures. I loved the characters in this book and I loved how each chapter was from a different characters pov. I loved seeing how the other characters were felling about things which were happening within book.

I'd definitely recommend this book if you're into fantasy and magic because this book was full of it and I didn't want it to end!

This book has it all! Vikings, mermaids, faeries and all manner of magical creatures and mystical lands. When humans team up with otherworldly creatures in a race against time, fraught with danger, romance and mystery, it makes for a Lord of the Rings versus Maleficent vibe. I loved losing myself in this magical world, and I can't wait for book 2!

Not to spoil anything. But this is a wonderful retailing of the Little mermaid. With a slight darker twist. The beginning really pulled me in. I love the concept of having a darker take on the story. I was fully immersed in the story. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I loved the naming of the characters as they all represent some form of flowers and herbs. A beautiful choice. Sage, violet and Iris. So unique. I’m so glad I was able to read this lovely story. There were some parts that I wanted to get through a bit faster. But that’s just me reading a retailing for the first time. I look forward to reading more from this author.
