The ladies in my Bible study really loved this book. And the suggestions the author makes for working through Anxiety are solid and biblically based.
Had my group not loved this so much, I probably would have given it only three stars because, as the facilitator, this was a difficult book to go through.
Most of the Bible studies we do have weekly homework, but the focus is for the time spent together in the group. That didn't seem to be the case with this study. The weekly meetings gave sparse - almost non-existent - suggestions for activities. There were 5 questions that could be discussed, one from each lesson, but nothing new to uncover or dig into.
And what was more disappointing - and almost non-existent - were the videos. Scarlet has stories to share, but she clearly didn't like being in front of the camera. Her longest video wasn't even 8 minutes long. That compacted with the lack of material from the book itself left me scrambling to build lessons every week.
It is a good study, but leaders need to be aware of the teaching element and needs before jumping into this study.
