Great overview of how to visualize data to get to the meaning in the data. Covers a lot of examples and some important theory, like pre-attentive attributes. Steve's style is conversational and easy to read and makes this a great intro for anyone working with data.

Great overview of data visualisations best practices

Very insightful book giving insights into best practices and even more interestingly what not to do when building data visualisations.
