One Death Too Many: A Mystery Novel

Rate this book
Al Jeffrey and "Mitch" Mitchell are two pun-loving pals who work for a daily newspaper in St. Paul, Minnesota. When a local doctor's patients begin dying in droves, Al and Mitch decide to investigate. But the doctor's nurse gives them nothing but misinformation, and the doctor himself seems suspicious. Al and Mitch are convinced that the doctor is a killer, but how can they prove it? A spine-tingling tale of mass murder and investigative reporting based on a true story.

Definitely written for a male audience. I wanted to read this murder mystery set in St. Paul since I'm familiar with the city. Maybe if Ickler spent more time creating a plot and less time demeaning every female character by continually remarking on their asses and boobs, this book would have been enjoyable.
