Rosie Sanchez is known for her kind heart and willingness to help everyone. She's not known for her luck in love. Nearing thirty, she's given up on finding what her parents have, but one weekend, a torrential downpour, and a rockslide just might give her hope once more.

Steven Roberts has writer's block. When the cabin rental company sends someone to warn him about the damaging spring rains, he comes face to face with the perfect inspiration. He’s not bothered at all when she’s stuck on the mountain with him.

Can their newfound attraction survive the real world, or was it just the symptom of the landslide lockdown?

I met the man I would marry when I was twelve years old. We went on our first date to my junior prom when we were sixteen. My hair was teased in true 90's style, stuffed with baby's breath, and my blue dress had the puffiest of sleeves. I felt like Cinderella on her way to the ball.

Our romance was a classic slow burn. Seriously, it took him two years to finally kiss me! But it was worth the wait. We were married at the age of twenty-two and have been chasing our happily ever after since then.

It wasn't all hearts and roses. We supported each other through college, four kids, multiple jobs and moves, and various emotional and health struggles. We've remained best friends through it all, which is why I believe in true love and happily ever afters.

The challenges and successes of finding and fighting to keep love are what I strive to bring to my stories. When I was growing up, everyone acted like finding your love was the end. After that, everything would be wonderful, but life isn't like that. Every day is a choice, and I strive to bring that reality to my romance stories.

(I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and am leaving my honest review.)

Love sometimes comes about when it’s least expected - or in Rosie’s case, doesn’t come around at all.
But you never really know what (or who) you’ll find at the end of the bridge...
‘Swept Away’ is a quick-read, sweet instalove story, suitable for young adult readers and up.

Rosie's parents own several rental properties, one of which is on the other side of a bridge that washes away in storms. She decides to drive to the property, her favourite when she was a child, to warn the renter, Steven, he's there to write another novel, but has had writer's block.
The storm arrives and they get stuck together, sparks fly!

An enjoyable, quick read.

The story was such a good read. However, I felt the ending was rushed and could have been longer to give more context into the characters after life at the cabin.

This is a short and sweet novella. Steven is a romance writer and is one of Rosie's clients. He stays as Rosie's guest in her family's cabin in the Smokey Mountains, and because of a flash flood storm, Rosie has to go up to the cabin to warn him about it. As they are trying to leave, they encounter a landslide which forces them back to the cabin. This was definitely a love at first sight cute and fun read. Steven and Rosie are simply adorable and I love how Steven kept trying to get insights for his writing from Rosie. Too cute! Definitely a quick and fun read!

Rosie drives up the mountain in a rainstorm to warn the visitor staying in the family cabin. Before they can get back down the mountain, a landslide sends them both back to the cabin. The storm passes, but they're stuck for a few days, thanks to the blocked road. For such a short little book, the characters are nicely developed, and location descriptions are detailed enough to let me imagine being there This is a very sweet story that will put a smile on your face.

This a short, sweet story where Rosie makes a decision which has life changing consequences!

Steven is a suspense romance novelist on retreat who isn’t expecting a visitor to appear through the rain to warn him about being stranded by the storm.

Enjoy the outcome! Highly recommended - please read!

Our couple spend a few days getting to know each other... each thinking they may have found their “one.”

This is a short story so there's not a lot of detail, character growth, yada, yada.
What you do get is a sweet story that will definitely leave you smiling. :)
