She’s an old soul trapped in a time loop. He’s a 16th century clansman fighting to free her. They are destined for one another but are they destined for love or death?

Just over a year ago, a psychic revealed a startling truth to Sophia Marcil that she was cursed to be murdered in every life thanks to a family heirloom.

With this knowledge Sophia embarks on a quest to India to return the magical artifacts that cursed her. Thankfully, she has help—her hunky fiancé, an Irish castle architect and her best friend, a like-minded librarian. On the way, they visit the Glens of Antrim in Northern Ireland where her fiancé is hired to restore a castle. She’s not prepared for what happens next as she flees the altar and winds up in the bedchambers of a 16th century clansman.

Northern Ireland, November 1551. Conal Ó Catháin is about to marry his truest love, Sive McQuillan when a witch intervenes convincing Sive’s father that the Warrior Chieftain of the MacDonnell Clan will make for a better match. Tempers rise and sparks fly as the wedding day approaches.

As magic intervenes, forcing the star-crossed lovers together, Sophia jilts her suitor at the altar and starts a war barely escaping the 16th century where the three men in kilts are fighting over her. But did her hasty retreat have consequences.

As Sophia and Cullen’s wedding day approaches, she discovers something she did in the past may have just ruined her future. For the trip through time has seemingly vanished her fiancé from her life. Sophia struggles to uncover what went wrong. Should she attempt a timeline reset by returning to the 16th century? And just how many times has she tried before?

Can Sophia get to Cullen in time? Or is her beloved dead to her once and for all.

If you like your time-travel romance filled with echoes of reincarnation, love facing seemingly impossible obstacles, steamy love, and a dash of humor, put on your dancing shoes and join Sophia in the roaring twenties.

There was a lot of action in this novel. It felt more like never ending suspense than anything. No matter what Sophia and Cullen do, there is death, theft and injury as they try to deal with/return the cursed sapphire. At times I struggled to understand where the characters were, what they were doing and (occasionally) what time period they were in. Honestly, with so much jumping around I found I was less engaged by the end. Yes, there is some resolution with revelation of some secrets but they are tempered with the HFN bridge to hinted dangers in the future. An ok read if you are vested in the characters and overall series plot.

Time-Loop to 1500s Scotland

I enjoyed this third installment of this time-tripping woman who is suffering under a family curse. I like the magical elements in this series. As a fan of both real Scottish history and fictional romance, I loved the parts of the story that took place in 1500s Scotland. The author created a complex storyline in the past and cleverly interweaved it with the present couple's dilemmas. I highly recommend this book, though I suggest you start at the beginning of the series as it would most likely be confusing if you started here.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Another brilliant instalment in the “Spelled Portals & Cursed Mortals” series. This time Sophia Marcil is transported back to sixteenth century Northern Ireland. There are many twists and turns to keep you engrossed. Can’t wait to read the concluding book in the series to find out the answers to so many questions.

Sophia Marcil is still trapped in in a time loop of reincarnation trying to find a way to return the cursed sapphire.

This is a fast paced jaunt from place to place filled with suspense, danger and intrigue. I particularly enjoyed the parts that took place in both Scotland and Ireland. It’s a wonderful storyline full of excitement but I think I would have preferred to read it as one book and not installments.

Thank Ms. Stapleton for an exciting reading experience.

This is book 3 in the series Spelled Portals & Cursed Mortals. The adventure continues for Sophia Marcil in her cursed time traveling. This time she's in 16th century Ireland. There is drama, mystery and murder abound! While Sophia and Cullen are trying to get married in modern time, her past might prevent that. I enjoyed the intrigue of this book but I did get confused by whats going on in what time period from time to time. Good suspenseful read.

I received a free copy of this book for my honest review.
