The day I found out that I had a daughter was the day my whole life changed.
Being a single dad and running a billion-dollar ranch isn’t easy.
Especially when your nanny quits unexpectedly. So now, here I am… trying to do everything on my own until Penny shows up. The woman with no filter. She says and does whatever she wants, and maybe that’s why I’m drawn to her. But it makes it hard to get along with her. I have no choice but to offer her the nanny position. She’s good with my daughter and there’s no reason for me to not to. Except for the fact that this wasn’t the job she was after.
Penny is ambitious. She wants more out of life and for her career than I’m prepared to help her with. But does she have any place in her life for me? And my daughter?
Brett comes across as arrogant and rude, and he has most definitely met his match with his friends sister Penny, firstly mistaking her for the nanny! Penny is a touch cookie, she doesn’t take anything lying down and fights hard for the animals she trained to look after. Bring in strange things happening on the horse ranch, rumours flying around town, a drunk farmhand and a old vet who needs to retire!
A fantastic book with so much going on, you have no idea who is causing all the problem.
Brett is a straight forward guy, he says what he thinks, even if it may seem condescending when it's not meant to be. He has a demanding job running his ranch but needs help. That's not easy for him to admit. His family is a bit intrusive in both business and his personal life, which only adds to his attitude.
Enter Penny. She is staying on the ranch for the summer after graduating top of her class in Veterinarian School. She's his best friend/right hand's sister. She's hot tempered with a short fuse. Putting them together can be explosive.
With problems arising on the ranch lately, Brett starts to trust Penny with her help. The biggest problem is trying to fight his attraction to her. Guess what? That's her biggest problem too. They can't deny it forever. The problem is, Penny has dreams to succeed in her field on her own merit. She doesn't believe she can do that if staying on his ranch.
Will they give in to their feelings? Can they save the ranch and can Penny find her dream with Brett in it? I really enjoyed this book. Both the story and characters were great and kept me involved!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Brett is a successful horse breeder who suddenly finds out he's a single father of a little girl. Penny just graduated from vet school and her brother, Brett's ranch foreman, asked her to come and stay with him for the summer before she embarks on her career. She becomes the "temporary nanny" for Brett's little girl and sparks start to fly between these two immediately and not always in a good way. These two lock horns because both are stubborn and determined. Suspicious and unfortunate things start to happen as soon as Penny comes to the ranch, and finding out why adds to the tension between these two. Overall the 2 main characters were interesting, although at times they came across as childish. The pace of the book was OK and was a good read.

Finding Home Together - Penny and Brett were both strong-willed and hard-headed, which made most of their interactions fit for an action movie. However, the chemistry between them kept boiling until they nearly imploded. This is a tale about two people, everyone kept saying were good together, but their stubbornness kept getting in their way. However, it took them getting involved in a dangerous incident, for them to evaluate their decisions.
This fascinating story, will have you on the edge of your seat one minute and laughing the next, but you will not be able to put the book down, once you start reading it.

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Brett and Penny’s story. Brett is a single dad who is running a billion-dollar ranch, and when his daughter’s nanny quits, he is left looking for a replacement. Penny has just come top of her graduate class for veterinarian school and arrives at the ranch to visit her brother who work for Brett, who mistakenly thinks that she is the new nanny. These two are both strong willed, stubborn, and they butt heads from the moment they meet, and the chemistry between them is explosive. This is a well written story which is entertaining, humorous, and all all-round addictive page turner which had me totally enthralled throughout. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.
Brett gets a shock when he finds out he had a baby girl. The mama died shortly after childbirth. He owns a horse breeding ranch. What does he know about raising a child. He hires a Nanny but she leaves after a year. Damian, his foreman, sister Penny comes for a visit. She just graduated from veterinary college. So he asks her if she will be Catherine's nanny for the summer. She helps him out. But when it comes to personal stuff they lock horns. Great story of a single Dad that his only concern is his daughter and his ranch. There is something going on with the breeding of his horses and their well-being. But they work together to find out who is sabotaging his ranch. Great story of another Wheeler falling in love.
Penny and Brett together are like fire and gasoline. In the right combination, everything is just perfect. But too much or too little of either one and you’ve got pure chaos. Both Brett and Penny are strong-willed and stubborn. Both perfectly capable off cutting of their noses to spite their faces. A situation that, I admit, was a bit frustrating to read at times. I badly wanted to smack some sense into the pair of them for a lot of the book. Even though they jumped up and down on some of my hot buttons, I enjoyed watching them open up to one another and eventually learn to talk together. These characters have no communication skills, they talk AT each other, not to each other. This book is allegedly about her being a nanny but her charge is an accessory character with no personality.
The villains have a better development arc and they're as interesting as henchmen from the 1960s Batman movie.
These characters are not even in lust. This is as sexy as a plain untoasted piece of no name brand white bread. No flavor, no spice.
I've been more aroused by watching white paint dry on a white canvas.
Brett finds out he’s a father and he needs a nanny. Penny is coming to visit her brother Damien who works with Brett. Penny pulls in and Brett doesn’t recognize her and thinks she’s the nanny. Brett and Penny are both stubborn and strong people who now fight all the time but are attracted to each other. Brett asks Penny to be his daughters nanny and she finally agrees. Can Penny and Brett stop being stubborn and be together? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Awesome book
The actual romance and steamy scenes were kinda rushed and not fleshed out, though the actual writing was fairly good. I only blushed/got affected once in the book. The mystery/drama was pretty captivating however. In my uninformed opinion, they did use some more niche ranching terms so I would tentatively place my trust in the author knowing ranching and the book was very centered around the ranching, especially horse breeding and such.

At Morgan run ranch owner Brett wheeler and Damien Spencer find that they have trouble on the farm and Brett finds he is a father. when Damien's sister penny comes to town even she makes Brett crazy. This story is a fiery page turner. Sparks fly between Penny, a strong willed, very independent opinionated women and Brett single dad trying to run a ranch. Both are stubborn, determined and attracted to each other. Don’t miss any of the action and drama, it’s truIy entertaining!! Interesting characters. Great story line. Exciting, romantic, and intriguing. Brett is a single dad with a ranch to run. Penny is a new graduate from veterinary school. Brett needs a nanny and Penny is trying to find a way to start her career. They both need something from each other. If only they weren’t to stubborn to go after it. Great Story!
I love cowboys, and these Walker boys are the best! Sexy beasts, all of them. I can't wait to read more of them, cuz they have ranches full of ranchhands and other cowboys. Their wives also have friends... I really want more!!
This was an excellent read. It was entertaining and captivating. The bantering between the characters was epic. The many twist and turns in the plot was fantastic. The characters were great. The ending was absolutely beautiful.
Life on a ranch seems exciting, then things happen that are suspicious. The dynamic between Brett and Penny is written so real. I felt I was at the ranch watching it all happen! It is a great story, started reading and didn't stop until I was at the last word.
The sparks are constantly flying between Brett and Penny and they try to work together, ranching and nannying and part-time vet. An interesting plot and enjoyable story
I wish there had been more softness between them. All they did was bicker and fight. I felt like they lacked a solid connection between them because of it.
