Gangs is a title from a series called Introducing Issues with Opposing Viewpoints. It explores some of the biggest questions surrounding gangs in the United States and presents the reader with four viewpoints for each question. As the reader considers a new viewpoint, it begins with prompts for things to look for as you read, ending with questions related to how the writer presented the information. The articles presented reflect excerpts from a variety of resources from all across the country. The text is supported with photographs, cartoons, and graphs which further emphasize the point of view. I chose this book as a pairing for Yummy: The Last Days of a Southside Shorty.
