Splinters is one of the very well written book that I have ever read. Specially, I have seen many sci-fi books with open plot holes or loop holes which isn't that much satisfying because it feels like author didn't put much thought into it.

But this book was just flawless in that part. It was a complex book yet it was very easy to grasp. The writing was excellent and so were all the characters. I would say, I loved the concept of the book very much. We are so used to see heroes and villains in the book, but not in this one. The book shows beautifully that you don't always need a super bad villain to make a good sci-fi book.

Also though it's a sci-fi book, I don't think there are any contradictions here which is the gift in itself because come on- can you name few of the best books that doesn't contradict its own theory?

Enough said- Give this book a try, it will be totally worth it!

A sci-fi adventure to savour

An asteroid is hurtling towards Earth and nothing can stop it. Except, perhaps, the combined willpower of a society of psychics. Between them they can move mountains, but can they avert the impending disaster… or will their mind-bending attempt create something far, far worse?

This hugely ambitious novel carries the reader on an inter-dimensional roller coaster through time and space and delivers them, shaken and stirred, to a fascinating future. In between they will encounter sinister robots, a scorched and blackened hell, and a land where nature runs amok.

Crisp narrative, dazzling description and characters you will come to care about make this a sci-fi adventure to savour. Recommended.
