I freaking adore Everhide, these guys are so life like, I can see them on the covers of Rolling Stone, playing in real life concerts, living their best lives together as Rock gods!
Regret was always going to have big shoes to fill after the first 3 amazing stories in this series, but never wear it played with the big boys and came out stupendous. Hayden and Lexi have always been best friends with Everhide, one of the worlds biggest rock bands, Gem, Kyle and Hunter have seen them at their best and worst, but what they are about to embark on will be nothing like they have done before.
You see Hayden and Lexi have always been super close, best if friends, they’ve been together throughout their the highest highs and the lowest of lows… but declaring his love for his best friend, will be Hayden’s biggest mistake. Kissing was Lexi was amazing but her response was horrible, she doesn’t love him like that, as a best friend yes, a lover no! With drummer Hayden leaving LA to move with his band to Boston, he puts it all on the line for her, 3 weeks together, the make or break… in an emotional twist, that Tania Joyce writes so well, Hayden will live his worst nightmare.
Both Lex and Hayden have troubled families, drugs, divorce, depression it’s an everyday thing for this beautiful pair, but those issues bring walls up, especially for Lexi who was left broken for an ex boyfriend. Never fear, Hayden was there to pick her up, and he’s about to be there again, to help her overcome the fear of love with the one she’s supposed to be with. As the day moves closer for Hayden to leave, everything in Lexi’s world crumbles, their 3 week relationship was filled, with love, sex and happiness, and the awareness that she does indeed love him, but let’s him walk away to start his new life. Life as they knew it, has ended but Lexi mourns the friendship now ended!
While Lexi moves on with her life she is a shadow of the smart, talented photographer that graced the pages early on, now she is quiet, reserved, shattered. For Hayden, moving to Boston isn’t the big break he was looking forward to, his band are more interested in drugs, women, partying everything Hayden doesn’t want. He just wants one woman, his Lexi! This is the 4th book in the series Everhide Rockstar romance books. The book snags you into the inner turmoil felt on page one when the male hero and drummer Hayden kisses Lexi, best friend and longtime roommate when he declares his love for her. Lexi denies feeling anything but friendship her drummer roommate of seven years at the time of this first kiss. But kiss upon kiss begins to uncover hidden and suppressed emotions and desires. The story builds layer upon layer as the characters experience self-discovery, motives behind actions, and finally what their hearts are really saying.

Truth...
Both Hayden and Alexa needed a kick in the butt! Hayden suffered for years with unrequited love and Alexa denied her true feelings for years. As can usually happen in a pseudo platonic relationship, a catalyst can sometimes speed things along. Hayden moves to Boston with his band and that is when Alexa starts to realize the full extent of her feelings for him developing faster than she is comfortable with. After all, she has lived with Hayden for seven, yes I said seven, long years. With their relationship on the decline, she must decide....love with Hayden or loneliness by herself.
This would have been a three star if the supporting characters weren’t so good. I found info repeated and some parts just dragging. But all in all, this was a good story in a good series.

Welcome Back to Everhide, I am so in love with this series, each book gets better and better and the characters are so easy to fall for and to cheer for.
Hayden and Lexi's story I think is my favorite so far, the struggle that they both go through to find each other only to have it ripped away really tore at my heart strings, and hoping beyond all hope that they would find their way back to each other.
This is the fourth book in the series and the others are must read before this one as all the characters and the story line cross over from one book to the next, but they are all worth, I mean who doesn't love a book about rock stars.
Cannot wait for the next book in this series

This novel is #4 in the series, "Everhide Rockstar Romance" by author; Tania Joyce. I have not read the first 3 novels by this author so this is my first read in this series. Okay with that being said, have your tissue box ready because you'll need it. As I said before, I have not read the first 3 novels in this series however, this one grabs the reader from page 1 and the emotional roller coaster is definitely felt throughout the story. I really enjoyed reading this novel and it was also a quick read because it was really captivating. I would definitely recommend this novel and author for all you romance readers out there! Happy Reading!!

Wow what a storyline. Hayden has been BFF with Lexi for years but now wants to change it to more. Lexi however has been hurt in the past and wants nothing to do with love. The characters are great and engaging and kept me interested. The storyline was awesome with all the emotional twists and turns. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.

You know it's gonna be good when these two just kiss (by accident) over and over and it's hot as hell without having slept together. One of the best friends to lovers I've come across with two people perfect for each other. It just takes a while of second guessing and worrying about ruining one of the best friendships they've ever had. And if you don't fall for Hayden, well shame on you!!

So Emotional
Lexi and Hayden’s story was so emotional I cried several times! It was so frustrating. Hayden loved Lexi unconditionally, they had lived together for 7 years as friends. At some point Hayden realised he loved her as more than a friend but Lexi had been hurt in the past, by her parents, he ex and her walls were up! When would she realise and admit she loved him too? Maybe never! Their jobs take them both in different directions and pull them further apart. Will they get their HEA? Couldn’t put this book down and can’t wait to read more.

This book was an emotional roller coaster. Have tissues handy!!! An brilliant addition to the series, but can be read alone. I prefer to read in sequence but this one doesn't need it. The characters are compelling, believable and flawed. Tania Joyce has delivered the goods!!!!!!!! This is book 4 and I absolutely recommend investing in the rest of the series too. I was blown away.

Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!

I could barely finish and could skim read because Hayden suffered from Lexi's indecision the whole of the story. It was painful. She skirted cruelty most of the book.
I feel like I suffered too. Poor Hayden.

Rockstar romance at it's best. I've loved following the Everhide band - they feel so real. Throw in an angsty friends to lovers story and an a few nasty relatives and this is so good! I feel the love between Lexi and Hayden and was cheering for them all the way. If you want a steamy, friends to lovers, rockstar romance, this is for you. Highly recommended!

I love a friends to lovers story, and this one was soooo good! Lexi and Hayden are totally meant for each other. They're such amazing characters, I was rooting for them all the way. If you want a sexy, fun rockstar romance, look no further. Highly recommended!

Another Great Story !
This author knows her rock and roll, and emotions. And uses them to the fullest in each story. Although I didn't shed any tears on this one, nonetheless, it was heartbreaking.

This is a best friends to lovers story that is part of an ongoing series. This is a new to me author and when I read the blurb it did say it could be read as a stand-alone, I decided to not the read the rest of the series first. I think out of the (soon to be) 5 books, that this is probably the one that can be picked up and read as a stand-alone, as it is a complete story about a couple who are best friends. I will put this warning up though, that this is probably better read in sequence, and enjoyed in sequence of the series, as threads of other stories are referenced in this book, which are major spoilers.
I enjoyed Hayden and Lexi as a couple. They were both working hard towards their dreams and were each other’s back stops. It was clear that both of them had security, worthiness and other issues as products of their backgrounds. Hayden was easier for me to connect to as a reader and genuinely likeable. I found Lexi a bit less likeable as a character. Lexi was literally crippled by fear of commitment due to her parent’s history, a broken past relationship, but far more damaging her Mother’s constant distorted view on relationships. Between Lexi mother and Hayden’s mother, I honestly can’t say which maternal relationship was more toxic or debilitating. Similarly, I can’t actually say which of the Father’s are truly more selfish, except perhaps that Lexi’s Father at least wants her to be happy.
This book deals well with addictions and mental illness. Or should I say how raw, dark it is and completely toxic for those around you that have to pick up the pieces or live through it with you. I think the main message of the book that came through, which is true to life is, that the family you create can be much more important to you to give you the support system that you need and love you unconditionally when your biological family can’t. For me as a reader, what was missing was the acceptance of both characters that they needed to have very honest conversations with their Mothers about setting up clear boundaries, how they will offer support in the future, on what terms, be clear how it has impacted them, stop accepting the mental abuse and how they will address it in future. I just don’t think the characters were there yet, but I hope it time that they will be for both of their sakes.
This was a solid story and well written. It was a raw, angst filled best friends to lovers story, sprinkled with excellent friends.

Regret - The Price of Truth by Tania Joyce, is a rocking romance that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. Gemma, Kyle and Hunter are Everhide, a very talented rock-band with an edge. Lexi and Hayden are best friends to the band members. Lexi is an amazing photographer, however, she earns a living as a restaurant critic for a New York City publication. Lexi and Hayden had been roommates for seven year now, but he may just have messed that up with a drunk kiss. Now things at home are uncomfortable, Lexi doesn’t know how to react to Hayden and when Gemma offers for her to come to LA for two weeks she says yes. Unfortunately the guys offered Hayden the same thing so they will be in La together for two weeks. If she doesn’t have any feelings for him why can she not forget that kiss. Okay he scared her away when he said he loved her but she can definitely see he’s good looking. Hayden knows that Lexi has feelings for him if she would stop being scared and looked past what happened the last time she fell for a musician. She however is in full denial and doesn’t see him that way.
Hayden is so sweet and sexy to read how did Lexi deny it for so long. I love the Everhide family and so glad it just got another couple. I’m intrigued for the final book.

This is such a good series, and the newest book is no exception. When Lexi and her best friend Hayden kiss, they are faced with the dilemma, will persuing this attraction kill their friendship. Hayden is all in, but Lexi is definitely not OK with it and struggles with a serious case of denial about her feelings towards Hayden.
There's angst, heartache, misunderstandings and friendships to be explored in this novel. I was hoping against the odds that Lexi would come to see how much hayden meant to her and be willing to take a chance on him. There are a few obstacles in their way, their different goals for one, but I could see they were meant to be.
It was also great to see how the band members were going a bit down the track.
