Meet Valiant—the third of four gentlemen who work to right injustices—in the new heart-stopping series Gentlemen of the Order.

As the grandson of a marauding pirate, Evan Sloane strives to earn his moniker, Valiant. His work as an enquiry agent for the Order gives him the perfect opportunity to make amends for his ancestor’s misdeeds. But even the bold and bravely courageous have their limits. Even the strongest men feel occasionally unnerved. Indeed, Evan’s current stalker is not a villain seeking revenge but a wallflower with an uncanny ability to appear in the most unlikely places.

Vivienne Hart is in sole possession of a contract made seventy years ago. A contract that will alter the course of her life and that of Mr Sloane. A fact she would happily explain if the gentleman would grant her an audience. But someone else has discovered she possesses the secrets to a lost legacy. A wicked devil is determined to rob her of her bounty, and Mr Sloane is the only man she can turn to for help.

Thrown together by a pact made by their grandfathers, Evan and Vivienne must solve a series of puzzling clues if they hope to uncover treasures from the past. But as their attraction to each other deepens, and the villain seeks to end both their lives, they’re left questioning what’s important—finding money or finding love?

What will Evan do when he discovers the truth about Vivienne’s pirate heritage?

More so, how will a man who avoids wallflowers deal with her shocking proposal?

The raging tempest stirred his restless spirit. A man with the blood of a pirate flowing through his veins welcomes life's trials and tribulations. Was that not the reason his friends called him Valiant? Did he not live by the Sloane family motto?
He who braves the storm emerges stronger.

4 Treasure hunting stars!

Another mysterious and romantic story from Adele Clee and the Gentlemen of the Order! I know I can always count on Adele to write a story filled with suspense, mystery, and swooning romance, and Evan and Vivienne's story was no exception. Vivienne comes to Sloan with proof connecting their ancestors in a binding contract that now falls to them to uphold and solve in order to find their legacy. Vivienne is the woman who wants to be seen, while Sloan seeks to fill his loneliness with his enquiry work and pleasures of the flesh. When fate brings them together, secrets and passions collide, leaving Vivienne and Sloan struggling to unravel the clues left by their ancestors. I loved the sense of mystery and adventure in VALIANT, but I have to say that I am so excited to finally read D'Angelo's story next!! ♡

4.5 stars rounded up

Evan Sloane may be the grandson of a rather notorious pirate, but he has always placed high value on honor and worked hard to live up to his nickname, Valiant. He works as an enquiry agent for the Order, helping the weak and making up for any ills his grandfather may have committed. Despite that, even Evan finds himself a bit unnerved by the young woman who keeps hounding his every move.

Vivienne Hart has a seventy-year-old contract that she knows will change everything for herself and Mr. Sloane. She just can’t gain an audience with the man to explain herself. Unfortunately, another has learned that she has clues to the location of a lost inheritance and the villain is determined to steal it. When her house is broken into, Vivienne knows she must turn to Mr. Sloane for help.

Evan and Vivienne find themselves thrown together, following clues left by their grandfathers and trying to unravel generations old secrets. The attraction between them is palpable and only growing stronger, but with their enemy also growing bolder, they must decide what’s truly most important.

This was such a complex plot and at first, I wasn’t sure I’d like it because I didn’t much care for Vivienne’s seemingly arrogant attitude. The more I read, however, the story began to grip me, and Vivienne’s true intentions and personality became clear and I couldn’t help but be charmed by her just as Evan was. For his part, Evan was one of the best reformed rakes I’ve read and I loved how he was honest and open with Vivienne and determined not to let her get away once he identified his feelings. This plot had so much going on that I would probably benefit from a reread now, but the different layers of the story were brilliant. I don’t think I liked this book quite as much as its predecessors, but I still greatly enjoyed it. I think this author does some of the best steamy scenes, as well as the best gothic-tinged, mystery filled historicals, that I’ve read. I loved how explosively steamy Vivienne and Evan were together. Their chemistry was palpable. Perhaps most of all, I loved the bond of loyalty and friendship between the Gentlemen of the Order and I now look forward to D’Angelo’s story very much.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Blog link: https://mustreadalltheromance.blogspo...

Spicy, passionate, tense and thrilling and just about as satisfying as you can get.
This third book in the series has everything, and these two have a chemistry that is off the charts.

Valiant/Evan Sloan and Miss Vivianne Hart have nothing in common at first glance, but on a stormy night she turns up on his doorstep demanding he marry her and turns both their worlds upside-down.
What’s their connection ?

If you’ve read the others in the series this is a must, Sloan is not as tough as he thinks he is, his heart is about to topple and he’s falling fast.
If you’ve not read them yet, don’t worry they can be read as stand-alones. It won’t ruin your experience.

Adele writes some brilliant books and this is just perfect, pure romance and so enjoyable.

Miss Vivienne Hart was certainly persistent and didn’t take no for an answer. She was also brave and very capable. Evan Sloane was a known rake as well as an investigator. He was a handsome man who had no intention of marrying. He doesn’t want to follow his father’s example and experience a great loss when his wife died. Vivienne and Evan have a connection due to their ancestors. There are clues to unravel and a treasure to find. There is also someone else after the treasure and they experience a few dangerous moments. This was an entertaining read, there was some amusing banter and I did have a chuckle at the breakfast scene! As Vivienne and Evan spent time in each other’s company, so their feelings changed but could anything come of it due to the fact that Evan had no intention of marrying and Vivienne was going back to the Highlands after they had found the treasure. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Not to be Missed!
Evan Sloane, Valiant and the "Wallflower", Vivienne Hart meet under the most unusual circumstances when she virtually bursts into his home and tells him a very intriguing story. This leads to them joining forces in order to solve the mystery, fall in love and fight off the villains.
Their mutual strengths of character and their amazing adventure make this a page turner of note and I am definitely recommending this!
I read an Advance Reader Copy and my voluntary and unbiased review is recorded above.

I don’t like the “you must marry to get inheritance” trope. I don’t like deceiving people and manipulating people into marrying. I never did warm up to the manwhore MMC. I didn’t like the premise at all. It was OTT.

“You’re not a wallflower. You’re a pirate come to pillage and plunder.”
Vivienne Hart is perplexing to Evan Sloane. She is a quiet young woman, and lately Evan always feels her watching him everywhere he goes. Evan can’t decide if he should consider her a wallflower or a bluestocking, although either way he’s quite sure she’s not the type of woman that fits his life. He spends his free time carousing with willing widows and calculating courtesans, women who expect nothing more from him but a temporary wild ride. When Vivienne appears at his door in the middle of a huge thunderstorm, he begins to discover that she is intelligent and brave, and so much more interesting than he ever imagined. Evan works as an enquiry agent (a private detective) for the Gentlemen of the Order. This is the third book of that series, but you can absolutely enjoy it as a stand-alone. If you are familiar with this series already, you do get to see briefly the other Gentleman of the Order, which is great.

Vivienne struggles to get Evan to pay attention to what she is trying to explain to him, and when he finally does, it is startling even to his cynical sensibilities. She is in possession of evidence that her grandfather and his grandfather – who everybody knows was a pirate - were involved in a pact that has now thrown Evan and Vivienne together to solve a mysterious puzzle, deal with dangerous threats, and recover a lost legacy left to them by their ancestors. This is a wonderfully complicated and perfectly plotted story that pulled me in and kept my attention from the first paragraph to the very last.

I am being very careful not to give spoilers because you just have to let this story unfold for you as it was written by the author. It’s too good for me to ruin it for you! I will tell you that the main characters are so interesting, and the chemistry between them is crackling hot. Adele Clee always brings great dialogue and witty banter to the page, and the story sparkles with it. Secondary characters are so well described and defined that you can see them in your mind’s eye just as clearly as you can envision the main characters. I can’t wait to read the next story In this series!

It's not over until it's over! Ms. Clee crafted another masterpiece with 'Valiant'. Just reading a few pages of the first chapter got me completely hooked. Ms.Clee has an amazing imagination. The story, like all her stories, is full of colorful suspects and twists and turns you don't see coming. Every time I thought 'this is it' I was wrong. Trying to unravel the mystery kept me glued to my seat. But it wouldn't be a true Clee-story without some sizzling sex scenes or a first-kiss scene that makes you melt into a puddle. Add to that the laughing-out-loud banter of our heroes and the reappearance of the other members of the Order and you have another first-class hit of a story. And now that I devoured Evan's story I'm ready to find out what fate (named Adele Clee) has in store for D'Angelo.

Four and a half stars. Valiant is the third book in Adele Clee’s Gentleman of the Order series. The books are linked by the work each of the protagonists do for the Order, but each can be read as stand-alone stories.
Evan Sloane has lived with the stigma of being the grandson of notorious pirate Livingston Sloane all his life. Striving to prove that he is nothing like his grandfather he works tirelessly for the Order of the Gentleman, an organisation dedicated to helping the poor and needy. His bravery has earned him the moniker Valiant. But when he realises that he may be being stalked by an unassuming wallflower he is mystified. What could her intentions be? He has no intention of finding out.
Miss Vivienne Hart has recently discovered herself in the possession of a contract made between her and Mr Sloane’s grandfathers seventy years ago. Bound by the terms of the contract they could change their lives if they manage to complete the conditions within it. If only the obstinate man would agree to meet her! Desperate, she has to resort to drastic measures to gain his attention. Because it seems as if she is not the only one to learn of the contract and the promise of a lost legacy with it. Vivienne is in danger and the only person that can help her is Mr Sloane.
I am not sure why but it took me a couple of days to get into this book [maybe I was having an off day] but once I did I was swept along. The action is fast-paced and immediate and we are plunged into a mystery with lashings of romance and passion. Vivienne and Evan are a sweet couple. Initially drawn together for practical reasons they soon realise they share a deep attraction to each other. It did at first feel a little like insta-lust to be honest which was a little distracting but as the story progressed you could see and understand how that turned into love.
Evan was a really likeable hero. Having lived his life thinking that love and family were not for him, I particularly liked that he realised he wasn’t as hard hearted or cynical as he thought he was and underneath the passion there are genuine feelings for Vivienne. His realisation that his grandfather was not the villain he had thought him to be was also heart-warming and it was touching to see his sense of pride in his ancestry returning. His relationship with D’Angelo and his realisation that the way Evan himself lived his life was not helping his friend is refreshing. The bond and the banter between the fellow members of the Order was great to witness.
As with all of Adele’s stories there are clues to be followed and mysteries to be solved with quite a few threads to be tied before Evan and Vivienne can reach their happy ever after. The story keeps you guessing throughout and the ending is satisfying. I am looking forward to D’Angelo’s story next.
I was gifted an ARC copy of this book by the author but the views and opinions are my own.

One can never go wrong with a book written by Adele. Her stories always grab you in usually by the end of the first page. I have read a lot of her books but this one is awesome. The chemistry between Evan Sloane, grandson of a pirate and Vivienne Hart, granddaughter of privateer and a Scottish Laird is wonderful. Evan is a rake of the first order and see's Vivienne as a wallflower at first. He has seen her watching him at balls and events. She has written him letters which he never opened. Now he is sure she is stalking him. After she traps him at his home on the worst rainstorm of the century, he learns she is anything but a wallflower.
After her mother passed away, she is given a contract that will change both of their lives. Their grandfathers knew each other and left a set of events for them to follow. If they honor their wishes, they will find a treasure at the end and much more.. Evan doesn't believe till he finds out someone is out to hurt her and she is in danger. As they try to follow the clues, they run into more problems. With every twist and turn they meet with the honesty and adventure they both love. The witty banter grows as they work together toward the end. The attraction between then grows also with some steamy interaction .
This is a fast-paced suspense, mystery, where we get to meet the other fellows from the order again.
I hope you give it a read, who wouldn't like pirates, agents, betrayal all mixed in with two wonderful characters. This is the third book of this series but all the books can be read as stand alone.
I received and ARC from the author and want to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am voluntarily giving it.

Evan Sloane is handsome, rich, a bachelor who is very popular with the ladies & he is the grandson of a plundering pirate. Evan or Valiant, a nickname he aspires to earn, works as an enquiry agent with The Gentlemen of the Order. However, this new case is different as it personally involves him.

Vivienne Hart is a wallflower by all outward actions but inside she is an adventurer & a warrior. She has been learning all she can about Evan Sloane & it is time to confront him with their problem, but the obstinate man will not grant her an appointment. Now, someone has discovered she has the documents that will solve the secrets to a lost legacy & have broken into her house looking to find the evidence.

So, Vivienne decides to show up at night, in a rainstorm with 2 older servants as chaperones & hope Mr. Sloane won't turn them back out in the rain. I loved the growing attraction between Valiant & Vivienne - the grandfathers really had the two of them running around solving all the items that came up in the documents. There were mysteries, clues found along the way, danger from the unknown villain, & I loved all the secondary characters. I highly recommend this book & the entire series for well written, entertaining books. I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.

This one was action packed, full of suspense and very steamy!
Vivienne Hart is deemed a wallflower, but in truth she is nothing but! She was told by her dying mother to find Evan Sloane. She needs to inform him that there are documents from the past that will uncover the whereabouts a 70 year old contract of inheritance made by their grandfathers that belongs to both Vivienne and Evan. Only thing is, he won’t give her the time of day.
Showing up late in to the night during a storm, Vivienne was sure Evan would have to see her!
After having her home ransacked one night by a masked stranger, Vivienne is sure that there are villains determined to steal what is theirs.
The only problem is, to get access to some of the clues given by their grandfathers Vivienne and Evan will have to legally marry.
Determined to be a life long bachelor, it was out of the question for Evan.
As they are thrown together uncovering clues from the past, their attraction seems to blossom into real love. But the closer they come to uncovering the truth, the more danger seems to follow them.

I really did enjoy this one! It started getting pretty confusing at points and there was a lot going on, but overall it was a fun read!

Valiant
Gentlemen of the Order book 3
by Adele Clee

WOW! This was such a fantastic read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Vivianne Hart and Evan Sloane's story. Evan Sloane is the grandson of a great pirate/privateer, all his life Evan has been trying to ignore his roots, mainly his grandfather’s legacy as a pirate. Working for the Order he strives to be a man of honour, integrity and courage, hence his moniker “Valiant” . He’s a ladies man and not marriage material, imagine his shock when Miss Vivianne Hart shows up claiming a marriage contract! Vivianne Hart has been trailing Evan for a while, she’s desperate to get Evan Sloane to help her and the only way is by marrying her, she needs to be married to Evan to get the clue for their legacy. The only thing that seems to be on Evans mind is to run far away but the more time he spends with Vivianne the more he’s intrigued! Plenty of mystery and intrigue keeps the reader engaged, Adele Clee is masterful in creating a world of intrigue, wonderful characters with plenty of sizzle! I highly recommend this! I recieved a complimentary copy from the author, this is my honest unbiased opinion.

I Loved It! Valiant weaves a story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, secrets, mystery and turmoil. Adele Clee  has given readers a book that is Gripping and Suspenseful! The characters are well thought out and each one comes to life and you find yourself drawn into their story, heartfelt dialogue and with an unbelievable plot (which will keep you changing your mind to who the real villain or villains are) that bring this read together perfectly! Vivienne is a pest that Evan wishes that he can get rid of, but with a contract made seventy years ago by their grandfather's it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon. It's a rollercoaster ride full of menacing twists with those who are after the treasure Evan and Vivienne are trying to find through the clues left them. Vivienne and Evan's adventure unfolds with sizzling passion, attempted murder, lies and as the tensions escalates the uncertainties build and mayhem abound this story will keep you reading until the very end.

This book should not have the same rating as the last book in the series. The plot is banal: some kind of uninteresting search for treasures, which turned out to be simply staged intrigues of the heroes’ ancestors. Relationships are formulaic: for some unknown reason, such an elusive hero who doesn’t want either love or a serious relationship, who has a harem full of women, a life full of debauchery and orgies, suddenly in three days he so obsessively wants the heroine that he can’t resist sleeping with her, but a week later he falls in love and gets married. The author has the rarest exceptions when you believe in such hasty relationships, but not in this case. For me, neither the characters, nor the investigation, nor the relationships are interesting. For such a sophisticated hero, there must be a little more in the heroine for him to fall in love, although if we compare with the fools from the first two books, then in this heroine the heroine is already more progressive and interesting.

Evan Sloane has noted Miss Hart watching & spying on him. He’s ignored her & her attempts to contact him. When she shows up uninvited @ his secluded home on a stormy, cold night he lets her in. Instead of her being the wallflower he expected, he’s surprised to discover she’s an intelligent & formidable woman.
Evan, called Valiant by the Order, doesn’t usually give a toss what society thinks. Normally not much shocks or rattles him, but the tale & old contract Vivienne Hart brings to his attention do just that. When a terrible accident seems to confirm that Vivienne is in danger due to their association, he decides to look into her claims.
What follows is a strange treasure hunt orchestrated by both of their deceased sea-faring grandfathers. Lots of unanswered questions, danger, threats, shady suspects, & unexpected feelings of affection, add up to a fun read! Really enjoyed this story about two unconventional people that find what they need in each other.

This author never ceases to amaze me with her stories. This one is no exception, it's soooo good!!! What an adventure Evan and Vivienne go through as they strive to get the clues needed to find the "treasure" their grandfathers had left them.

I loved Vivienne's character, she's so matter of fact and doesn't care what others think of her. She does what needs to be done, even in bare feet!!! lol As for Evan, he's such a swoon worthy hero and even though he thinks Vivienne is a stalker, he soon comes to realize there's more to her than being a stalking wallflower:)

The story is filled with danger, suspense, twists and turns and a heated passion between two people who were made for each other, even if they don't realize it at first!

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Love is the key to the shackles that bind him.

Living within a wallflower facade is stressful for an intelligent logical woman like Vivienne Hart, but she's on a mission that promises to both save her life and change it forever. Holding fast to both her courage and wits will see her through to her goal.

A life of traumatic events has played havoc with Evan Sloane, aka Valiant. Still, he has cobbled together a comfortable life of control and purpose. Which is why he wants nothing to do with a pushy wallflower touting an unbelievable tale.

I was excited when I downloaded Valiant by Adele Clee. I have never made a secret of how much I love her books, and Valiant not only met but exceeded my expectations.

First point: The cover is a perfect portrayal of the characters, which always makes me a happy reader. Ms. Clee seems to know how important first impressions are when a reader opens a new book.

Second point: I am a lovesick sucker for a damaged but ethical hero with a deeply buried protective heart. Which is why Valiant took my breath away.

Third point: I appreciated Vivienne, who is a capable woman with a quick mind and a truthful heart. She is not described as beautiful, because her inner beauty is star bright. Which means that together they're a formidable team with an explosive chemistry and a wild passion

Last point: Valiant is an example of how Adele Clee can masterfully weave together a romantic mystery that is both character and plot driven. Just when I thought I had all the players figured out, another twist made me blink.

Content 411: This is a passionate tale that contains both descriptive language, passionate kisses and sexually intimate scenes.

Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from the author. I am voluntarily submitting my honest review.

What can I say, I love everything Adele writes. If you have not tried her stories and love mystery, not just “okay, there is the villain” but real mysteries where you don’t know what is going on then you will love Adele. Just when you think you have figured it out she throws in another element. Valiant/Evan has always shied away from his ancestorial history. Who wants a pirate as an ancestor (okay, I would but you know Evan)? Another element I loved about this story is that both Evan and Vivienne were not shy about their feelings and were not shy to express them. They are thrown together to solve a mystery but get caught up in love (shocked, you shouldn’t be). I devour Adele’s books and look on Amazon for the next book as soon as I finish a book.

Evan Sloane is the grandson of a pirate, something that the ton holds against him. Now he is being stalked by a persistent wallflower, and is annoyed when she forces her way into his home and demands he marries her. Vivinne Hart possesses a contract that is seventy years old. It states that she has the right to demand marriage from Evan. Their marriage will provide them with a clue to a lost legacy. Even more importantly, her life is in danger and solving the mystery may be the only way to protect herself. If only she can get Evan to agree.

I think this has been my favourite of this series. I loved the pirate connection and the rollercoaster of a treasure hunt. I liked Vivienne's unconventional manner and I also liked Evan. The characters, the plot, and the romance all lead to a thoroughly enjoyable read.

***Did not Finish.*** Book 3 of the Gentlemen of the Order series. I can't say I enjoyed what I read of it, to be honest. I detested the Heroine from the starting gate, and that never changed. She was way too arrogant and way too pushy. For 21 very long, drawn-out chapters, the reader was forced to endure the diatribe of this shrewish character. She was not at all enjoyable. In fact, she made the reading quite deplorable and I quit reading at the start of chapter 6. I gave up on the entire series because of her. In the words of the British of the period, the author did it too brown with this idiotic woman. Needless to say, this book did not find a place with the Keeper for the Shelves book collection.

A contract in love

Evan is a consummate rake and excellent detective with THE ORDER! Handsome wealthy always believed to a descendant of a pirate until he isn't! Women throw themselves at him recklessly! Vivienne longs to return to the highlands especially with the strange events surrounding her home and the break in! Bearing scrolls on her thigh and other documents she visits Evans home on a very stormy night! She has tried for weeks and he always brushed her off! Marriage is Evans biggest fear he wants no part of commitment so when she comes with her proposition he gets rid of her in the rain and all in short order! Vivienne leaves in his coach and Evan coachman is shot! Things escalate from there! I did not like the fact that Vivienne had strong convictions then quickly lost them again and again! Yet she was not a mistress? There are several characters in this story and certainly trust no-one! Vivienne is intelligent, beautiful and brutally honest just what Evan needs! He needs to be needed and appreciated! But can they have a HEA? What if there is no treasure?

Love is the treasure

I absolutely loved Evan and Viviennes story! She has been stalking him for several weeks and when Vivienne finally is able to talk to him at his home she doesn’t know how he will respond.
Evan had been avoiding her but wants her to leave him alone. So when she comes calling in a raging stormy he will finally put an end to thus. But he never would have guest what she wanted to talk to him.
Who would have thought their grandfathers would have done this, a contact for them to marry, a treasure to find and villains to punish!!
A wonderful read with a beautiful ending!

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the honesty and determination of Vivienne, her unconventional attitude, and her ability to solve the clues. Evan was a bit of a bear at the beginning, but I was drawn to his own willingness to accept her honesty and his thoughts on how the aristocracy should behave. The mystery side of it was fun, trying to understand the clues as they found them, and the reveal at the end, which I had not seen coming altogether. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to the next one.

I received an ARC of this story, and this is my unsolicited review.

What to read after watching Bridgeton

Adventure, danger, romance and scintillating bed sport is the making a a great regency romance. Clee has written it all in this book. If your wanting great characters in your hero and heroine then this is the book to read. There are no weak misses to be had in this book. Clee writes strong woman and her male characters appreciate them too. Clee writes a better book than a ton of better known historical romance authors, as she has more between the pages that carnal intimacy. The book has many twist and turns and does a great job at keeping the reader guessing until the end.

Great series

This is the third book in the series, I have read them in order. This series is full of adventure mystery intrigue and a bit of spice and if course love. Though at times the love takes a bit of time to come to fruition. Thankfully the author does not drag out the obvious. I love how she ties in the characters and you feel as if you get to meet up with old friends within the order. Vivienne and Evan have a love through the ages which you will understand as you read the book. I highly recommend, you will have a difficult time putting it down til the end.

This author has a way of making you want to read the next page and the next page and the next page… Not too many steamy scenes in her books. However, there was so much sexual tension and sexual innuendo and sexual thoughts that it almost feels steamier than it actually is.. the mystery of the hidden treasure was quite over the top and that is the reason for three stars, but I love how the main characters in all of her books are always open and honest, and there is not 1000 ridiculous misunderstandings.

This is the third book in the Gentleman of the Order series, but you do not have to read the other books in the series to understand this book. This book is about Evan and Vivienne who found each other because of a mystery surrounding their grandfathers. This story was complicated with all the mysteries and clues, which kept me interested. The chemistry between Evan and Vivienne was hot. I always enjoy Adele Clee books.
I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

Readers of the series may have noticed Evan Sloane has a bit of a protective streak in the earlier books. That and his curiosity drive him to investigate the contract and its origins as if Vivienne had requested the aid of the Order.
The mystery is a complex puzzle. Just when Evan and Vivienne think they are near the goal, a new mystery of sorts hinders their quest.
I liked the openness between the characters; Evan readily admits to her he feels an attachment.
The 3.5 rounded up to 4.
I read a free copy; the thoughts expressed are my own.

I’ve really enjoyed this series so far and this book was no exception. It is unusual for a woman to approach a man with an offer of marriage but Evan is intrigued almost from the word go. Vivienne is a lovely heroine who surprises Evan at every turn. They are very similar in their approach to everything. A confirmed bachelor, Evan is in trouble when he sees the real woman beneath her wallflower facade! There is also a mystery for them to solve. Loved it!
