The first book was a solid 4 stars, but it then turned to cute stories with mysteries woven through. Character development was good, story pacing was solid, but unfortunately, just not my cup of tea. It reminded me of the Harlequin Romances I used to read and I have now outgrown. Still, solid storytelling if you are looking for a mystery with tame romances throughout.

Run For The Hills (Flint River Series Book 1), my sixteenth read from author Jodi Burnett, who is one of my favorite authors. As I wait for the next book in her current series I've gone back to an earlier series I hadn't yet read. This 275-page continues the trend of well-written, enjoyable books, it caught my attention in the opening pages & I never put it down until completed.

Danger In The Hills (Flint River Series Book 3), my eighteenth read from author Jodi Burnett, who is one of my favorite authors.
A Flint River Christmas - An Exclusive Epilogue Novella, my nineteenth read from author Jodi Burnett (who is one of my favorite authors) and the conclusion of her Flint River Series. This 53-page conclusion caught my attention in the opening pages & I never put it down until completed. A Jodi Burnett book is like a visit from an old friend. "I was given a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to SPEC OPS K9 (Tin Star K9 Series Book 8) when it's published in October of 2024. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

This is a set of feel good stories ultimately around the Trent brothers and their grandmother - the kind of grandmother everyone should have! In the first story, a young woman therapist is terrorised by a sociopath and in running away to hide in Montana runs into the Trent family in Flint River. The next two stories also involve young women in very different circumstances finding their way to the Trent family, and the epilogue, in which a murder is solved, is the most romantic of all. I feel another book would tie up a couple of unfinished storylines, but in general, although this is not really my usual style, I did very much enjoy it. If you enjoy small town stories with a large dose of danger from outside, you'll enjoy these.

Amazing series!
Jody Burnett is a terrific writer. Characters are well developed. You always want to have more which is for me defining moment in any book series when you look forward to the next! Like I did and stay up too late reading. The characters aren’t perfect. Some of the psychological issues are well thought out and realistic. Throwing a bit of mystery, throw a bit of romance, I expect the K-9 series will be as great as the Flint River series is! I’m going to start her K-9 series next!

Flint River Series, perfect winter read
This series introduces us to a family like many of ours that isn’t perfect, but are there for each other, eventually. There are real issues like PTSD discussed without shame, allowing the people to get help. A playboy that realizes almost too late what he has after he looses it. And then the brothers reconnect after a ten year misunderstanding, and a grandmother who will always be there for them all. Great read!

Three different stories and each one is definitely a keeper.
The first book tells us Joscelyn's story. She meets Cade and falls in love with his daughter and him. She is followed by a stalker and in a strange twist he becomes the enemy
The second book is Trents story but is he really the playboy he makes himself out to be?
Jack winds up shot and snow bound with a girl he doesn't know.
Do grab the box set..you won't be disapointed.

This series focuses on three brothers from the Stone family, there are many friends, lovers, killers, and unexpected turns along the way. I enjoyed being in Montana for a while, and I liked the Stone family. So, if during the COVID epidemic you need something to do, take a trip with the Stones and see how they're doing.

What a great author is she,
I started reading Ms. Jodie's books a few months ago. I love how they are all tying together. I should have read the Flint River set first but the other books with the K9s caught my eyes. Either way she is a great author and I've enjoyed all 12 books I've read so far.

OMG!!
Loved each story! Could not wait to read each installment! The characters were so very believable and truly suffered angst, chaos,and heartache in turn. The matriarch was so rich in feelings and wisdom one would wish we all had a Mary in our lives! Keep up the stellar writing,as I cannot wait for more

Jack Finds His Way Home
The Last story in the Flint River series find Jack and his FBI team hunting for the group of people who planned the bombing of the elementary school. With the help from one of the leader's daughter, Laurel they were able to find them hiding in the mountains. A very thrilling story to end the Flint River Trilogy.

I loved these books!
I couldn't wait to go from one book to the next. An awesome family, especially the grandmother. The stories flowed very smoothly and you never had to figure anything out from one chapter to the next. Soon I was looking forward to the story coming in the next book. Highly entertaining!

Heartwarming
These four books in the series were great and engaging to me. The plot twists and turns kept the stories intriguing. I loved all the true love happy endings to them.

Tear jerking
The Flint River series about the Stone family And the events (murder, theft, stalking, and kidnappping) surrounding their family was a true tear jerking experience. A must read for anyone who enjoys well written books.
